lindland vs. belfort

According to an interview in the Brazilian Magazine Tatame, Vitor Belfort announced that he will be taking on Matt “The Law” Lindland for the Affliction middleweight belt on October 11th.

“I’ll come back in October 11th to fight Matt Lindland for the belt….It’ll be a great fight, we’ll see who is the best of the world there”

“I saw his fight with Negão and he’s a warrior…I’ll go to knock him out… My punches are well-aimed and when it hits he won’t stand”

Vitor broke his hand against Terry Martin at “Affliction Banned”, but is confident that his injury will be completely healed in time for the October fight.

Also on the card, Fedor Emelianenko is expected to defend this WAMMA heavyweight belt as he takes on the former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski.

matt lindland should have the upperhand in this fight, he has good stand up and his submissions are great . vitor could have problems if it goes to the ground .

I thought Belfort broke his hand? Will he be 100% to fight Lindland? I agree this should be a sick fight! I will be cheering for Lindland!

i like belfort but this is a bad match up for him, i see lindland blanketing him and belfort unable to get him off so lindland via boring decision
