Well respected middleweights Vitor Belfort and Jorge Santiago will likely meet up at Affliction 3 “Trilogy” on Aug 1 from the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA, according to MMAWeekly. The fight is expected to take place on the PPV portion of the card.

Belfort (18-8) is coming off a win at Affliction 2 “Day of Reckoning”, where he ran over Matt “The Law” Lindland in 37 seconds of the first round.

Santiago (21-7) had limited success in the UFC, going 1-2, his only win was over Justin Levens at UFN 5. Since then he has built up an impressive 9 fight winning streak with notable wins over Kazuo Misaki, Kazuhiro Nakamura, Trevor Prangley, Sean Salmon and Jeremy Horn.
