Fedor will prove he is the best heavyweight, by defeating a very quality opponent in Arlovski.

No matter what u say AA has a way better striking game then anyone in the UFC hands down at HW. Sylvia got him twice and look how long Sylvia lasted. Fedor never ceases to amaze me. Just how he dismantles the best fighters in the world. Yet there are still haters even after he beat the guy who is on top of the UFC divsion Big Nog not once but twice. Fedor is 28-1-1. Lesnar is 2-1. Seriously who are u kidding comparing the 2 ATM. Even after about 4 yrs I still dont think Lesnar has much of a chance. He sure will have a better one but the more time passes the worse the chances of seeing a fight with Fedor and Lesnar is likely. Fedor has already said he fights for a living and doesnt really enjoy it or do it for fun. He wont be fighting forever and I just hope that the UFC can grow up and let him compete in his Countries Smabo Championships and still fight in the UFC. But no they wont and people blame Fedor. Blame the UFC. People have it wrong the UFC should want the best fighters and they should try and get Fedor not the other way around. LMAO Fedor ha already beaten the champ besides Lesnar who will lose to Nog so what does Fedor have to prove by going and beating up people in the UFC that arent as good as the people in the Affliction HW division. If u ask me the UFC needs Fedor and other affliction HW's like Barnett and AA to prove that they have the best fighter at the HW division.

i never understood why the ufc didn't want fedor to do sambo and fight in the ufc at the same time. I know they sign exclusive contracts so the fighters won't fight in 2 different mma promotions, but i don't see the reason for not allowing him to compete in sambo competitions.

yah it was a sick decision making for their part…having fedor will not only solidify their claim of having the best hw but the best fighter in the world….

Fedor is way over rated, pride fed him weak competition the whole time he was there, he was never known for fighting the best competition. If he continues to destroy the HW's in Affliction like he did with Sylvia then he'll probably retire as the worlds best HW, but Fedor has never faced a striker like Arlovski, Sylvia got destroyed because he didn't respect Fedor, im calling for Arlovski to pull the upset and knock out Fedor past the second round.

Only way Fedor would go to UFC is to face Coture, affliction has a much better HW division. But there are some really good match ups he could take to prove himself as the worlds best HW if he went to the UFC. and at least if he went the UFC we would see him fight more often.

just found this on here you go tim have fun.

The line has started to form behind Brock Lesnar and Fedor Emelianenko has joined it.

The world’s top-ranked heavyweight and his team of managers voiced their interest on Tuesday in having the touted Russian meet the newly crowned UFC heavyweight champion in “a co-promoted event between the UFC, M-1, and Affliction Entertainment,” according to a prepared press release. a story by

YC u do know that Sylvia out struck andre 2 out of the 3 times they fought right? andre has as much of a chance as Tim Sylvia had. NOT good.Fedor is too good on the ground. Fedor will take him down and submit him or catch him with a punch and drop him then submit him. I wouldnt put it past Fedor to knockout Arlovski but in no way do I think Fedor will get knocked out.

Fedor had other problems in negotiations with the UFC. This is from an interview with Fedors manager ….

His manager wanted members of his gym signed to contracts as well. Although he wouldn't provide their names he just said they were up and comers.

He wanted to co-promote events in Russia with the UFC.

He wanted the UFC to show events on Russian TV using M-1's time slot

Sounds like Fedors manager wanted to use the UFC to make himself some money and to gain exposure for his weak ass M-1.

Do u blame him for trying to make money? he hasnothing left to prove. Hell even Randy wanted out of the ufc until he realized he couldnt get out of his contract. Andre left the org. and so have a lot of fighters.

That interview is old. It's from july 2007 when negotiations were ongoing.

He also says the financial offer from the UFC was the most lucrative.

He also states that "The negotiations are still continuing, and we will try very hard to get our demands met, if not Fedor will simply not compete in the UFC, even though that will be unfortunate as they currently have one of the, if not the, strongest, heavyweight divisions in the world."

This didn't have anything to do with money as the UFC offered more than the others. This had to do with the extras….. and nobody gets extras in the UFC

Fedor's brother Alex would be fun to see in the states, he was decent in pride but supposedly he has gotten much better. Most of red nose training camp is good, though I thought they were under contract with bodog.

I don't know if you can use those last 2 fights between tim and aa as a test to how aa will do with fedor. In aa's first fight with tim, He destroyed tim. He rocked him with some BIG shots and then submitted him in the 1st rd. Just like Fedor did in his 1st and only fight with tim. In aa's 2nd fight with tim he rocked him again and in my opinion tim landed a lucky shot as he was trying to recover that put aa out. Which Tim or anyone else could to to fedor on a bad night (land a lucky shot). In the 3rd fight with aa and tim they both were so hesitant of each others power that it was a boring ass fight.

So based off of aa's first fight with tim and fedors first and only fight with tim, it could be a great fight. BUT it's mma so Fedor could also drop him in 14 seconds. I'm gonna be excited for it regardless.

I think that aa will last longer than tim did for sure. He's improved and much for elusive and athletic than tim.

I'd love to see Alex and Sergei Kharitonov both in the UFC. Although Alex has Sergei's number them fighting everyone else would be great.

I don't buy the lucky shot excuse either. When a trained fighter throws a punch and lands I don't call that lucky. If it was some drunk at a bar i'd call it lucky.

Just like i wouldn't call a half court shot by Lebron James lucky. But if it was the guy from out of the stands at halftime then it would be called lucky.

Although I HATE matt sarah , I respect the work he has put in the gym. So i don't call his punch against GSP lucky.
