Affliction News: Edwin DeWeese Tests Positive For Steroids

That California State Athletic Commission (CSAC):

Edwin Dewees, who last competed on the Roy Englebrecht Promotions event sponsored by Affliction on July 19 in Anaheim, has tested positive for Nandrolone. His test level was finalized at 499 ng/mL. Independent tests were conducted by Quest Diagnostics for the “A” Sample and Laboratoire De Controle Du Dopage for the “B” Sample. He has been suspended for one year retroactive to the conclusion of the bout and fined $2,500.

The Ultimate Fighter 4 cast member has apparently tested positive for the anabolic steroid Nandrolone following his loss to Antonio Rogerio Nogueira at “Affliction Banned”. Deweese will be suspended for one year and must pay a fine of $2,500 in order to be issued a license to fight again. This is one of two fighters the CSAC is expected to announce today that have tested positive for a banned substance.
