Andrei Arlovski To Focused On Boxing?

Andrei Arlovski:

The loss bothers me, it hurts me. I have to do something about this. (Brett Rogers) had a good record, but I thought he was not the top like Fedor or Barnett. It was my mistake and when you make a mistake you have to pay for it. I took Rogers seriously, but I didn’t think the fight would have been this situation. I focused too much on boxing and not enough on the wrestling and jiu-jitsu. It wasn’t right. It’s another thing I have to think about. MMA is not boxing. I have to change something. I don’t understand this question about my chin. When you open your face for four or five punches it doesn’t matter your chin, you will get KOed. Rogers was great, he did what he did. I took the fight and I got my ass kicked, it’s that simple. It’s embarrassing, but what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. I have to move on. I’m definitely going to come back.

During a live chat on Arlovski’s official homepage, former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski talks about losing focus on MMA training and possibly focusing to much on boxing in last weekends 22 second KO loss to Brett Rogers at Strikeforce “Lawler vs. Shields”.

Arlovski took the fight on short notice. Arlovski was training for his boxing debut on on June 27 for Golden Boy Promotions.

He just got too focused on boxing, and he came in with a poor gameplan, if Rogers didn't bum rush him Arlovski would've made him look like an ass with superior strikes and agility. I saw the rush coming before the bell rang. Arlovski is in my top 3 faves and he needs to drop this boxing and refocus on MMA as a whole, I don't question his chin, since Rogers is a battle tank and Fedor made the earth shake with that hook. He gets dropped by punches that would probably knock out Nog, give him a break. He will be back, no doubt about it.

I believe the title of this article should be "Andrei Arlovski Too Focused On Boxing?"

    Too should replace To.

These forums have enough terrible spelling without the site writers not knowing the English language. Please, people, let's under stand the common differences between:

    – To, Too, Two

    – Your, You're

    – Their, There, They're

Just knowing those will make you look more intelligent…or at least less dumb.

AA won’t be on any top ten much longer. That is, if he’s not out already. AA has been over-rated for years in my opinion.
