According to Bobby Lashley via FightersOnly, Bellator Fighting Championships has put a contract on the table that would match him up against The Last Emperor Fedor Emelianenko sometime in 2012.

“It was a contract that was just put on the table… I got the call yesterday so I don’t even know any of the details of the deal. I think Bellator is a great company and I would love to be able to fight for them.”

“I wanna fight the best, so if I have an opportunity to fight Fedor, let’s do it. If I have an opportunity to fight anyone right now let’s just damn do it.”

If the fight did go down would Lashley size and wrestling skills be enough to overcome Fedor’s experience?

Lashey has limited experience in the sport and the experience he does have is in crushing cans.

Complete BS. Its easy to go on Twitter and say there was a deal on the table because there's a deal on the table for Fedor everywhere except the UFC. Lashley's just trying to get noticed.

Uh, this report seems a little chopped skewed as Lashley was talking about Bellator and Fedor being completely SEPARATE options. In other words, Lashley "heard" he was on a list of potential opponents that M-1 was circling for Fedor which has NOTHING to do with Bellator. Then Lashley also stated there was talks between himself only and Bellator.

His next fight could be either Fedor or former WWE wrestler Dave Batista. My money is that it will be Batista.
