He's got strength and speed for sure but you can't tell from his first fight how much of a Mixed Marital Artist he is.

I'd much rather see Lashley thrown into a future Ultimate Fighter season then just signed straight away. See what he's really got.

I'm pretty sure Lesnar would put Lashley on his ass early. Lashley hasn't evolved yet. Yeah, that punch opened a cut, but it didn't seem to really rock Franklin at all. I'm not impressed yet.

I think that a Kimbo vs. Lashley match-up is more probable than a Lesnar vs. Lashley. I doubt the UFC is gonna bring in another WWE guy this early in his MMA career. I think they are still waiting to see if they jumped the shark with Lesnar.

Honestly for all the people that wanna see Lashley vs. Lesnar, why do you wanna see that? Just because theyre both in WWE at one point? I'd just be happy watching Lashley vs. Randy Couture

I have seen worse cuts in the UFC… If they want to have decent fights, then they need to quit stopping fights after routine cuts… And that was a routine cut…

As for Lashley vs. Lesner… Lashley isn't in Lesners league at this point, he needs 3-4 fights against a few decent opponents before that is even considered…

I agree with the comment let Lashley go on the Ultimate Fighter and learn to fight at the UFC level and then maybe he will be a force, but right now…UNIMPRESSED…. Also put Kimbo into the Ultimate Fighter

i agree with ash ultimate fighter. heavywieghts with kimbo taking the sarcastic offer by dana and have welterwieghts as the other wieght class. lesnar and next contender as coachs. this is sounding good to me.

Matt Hud-who are you to say lashley isnt in lesnars league yet? do you train with either of them? how would you know? we saw like two seconds of dominating performance against a nobody from lashley. he could be way better or way worse than lesnar, nobody could know. also lesnar has four fights and lashley has 1 its not like lesnar is a vet lol. ya hes faced tough competition but who knows how lashley would do in the same situation. i do think tht lesnar is a lot larger than lashley tho. lashleys a big 251 and lesnar cuts from around 290 285.

icemanrcks- that would be an interesting TUF for sure but i dont think lesnar is ready to be a coach by any means. he's athletically gifted and learning fast but even he would admit he is very green in this sport still and not ready for a coaching position i think.

Does anyone else think that its crazy to think Lesnar would even want to be a coach? I mean if u watched his inside access you would see that he doesnt put up with bullshit and he would definetly not want to deal with a bunch of fresh mouthed nobodies who like to do crazy things to get air time. Lashley is by no means ready for brock. And I dont think he will ever be. Atleast from what I know about Lashley.I know he is a wreslter that is a lot smaller then Lesnar and I just think that Lesnar has the advantage every time they fight but hell u know what they say anything can happen.

lashley seemed real quick. im not sure if thats because of the cheap camera shooting the video from far away or not but it looked quick. id like to see another 2 fights or so before he goes to the ufc so i could see more of his mma abilities. but not bad for his first fight cutting his forehead with a punch.

I think lashley is taking the right approach. he stated that he wanted to fight on smaller shows to get experience and then move up. that's smart. he will do fine in the hw division. he may not be the best one day but he will be good.

Just Like Lesnar…Lashley has loads of potential and although this is his first fight and he has yet to face the same competition that brock has….i think Lashley has some skills and can develop into a MMA fighter, Lashley looks big but not nearly as big as lesnar that would be a great fight in the future but not for now my friends as its still to early in both mens careers to risk such a match although the hype into it would be great i just dont see the UFC signing lashely any time soon based upon what they already have in Lesnar and want to build upon him for the future and then maybe if Lashley gets better and develops further than they may sign him and start him off like Lesnar did and set up an eventual super fight with both men. But i think there are two very different fighters in Lesnar and Lashley…Lesnar wanted ot only fight the best and be tested at the get go…where as Lashley is playing it safe which could end up being his demise not to mention Lashley has stated before that he wastn sure on pursuing a MMA career or not. The man definetly can throw a punch but just like Lesnar still alot of questions left to answer…although at this moment Lashley isnt in the same league as Lesnar at this given moment due to his lack of experience and i am not stating Lesnar is a veteran yet where he is still inexperienced but fight wise and training wise Lesnar has fought much tougher competition from the get go and his training is so damn intense its hard to watch and imagine that guy being 290lbs and moving the way he does…Lashley reminds me of a Cheik Kongo not just because hes black but because of the similiar size and fight technique although this is just his first match so cant rely start comparing either. If lashley continues to develop he can become a great MMA fighter and i cant wait for that match if it ever happens. Best of luck to him.

ideally, dana will put together another HW TUF. lesnar and shane carwin would be coaches. competitors would include bobby lashley, fedor, kimbo, and cain velazquez…. then i wake up from my dream.

i really dont think that two fighters who have less then 15-20 fights combined should be coaches lol i think people are jumping the gun a little bit. they have talent and huge potential but they arent by any means veterans who should give othwer fighters tons of advice and tricks right now.

Just a thought Lyoto beats T Silva and if Rashad beats Forrest then you have your TUF 10 coaches Team Lyoto Team Evans. highly unlikely but a good one nonetheless.

Besides the next one is supposed to be us vs uk starting sometime in April. your coaches for that are Bisping and then ?? winner of Franklin Hendo, nate Marquardt, ??/ No one at MW seems to want to take this one

    December 16, 2008 at 1:30 am

Next TUF is Bisbing as Coach and its too damn early in Lesnars career to be a coach i love the man but what is he going to coach wrestling? sure he has skills but there not fully developed i would say no questions asked that in 1-2 more years if they put him as coach but its too early for him now to be respected per say as a coach not that he doesnt have any but its that certain feeling you have when you take lessons from someone. Anyways…who keeps brining up Kimbo? seriously leave that guy out of MMA talk he is a worthless peice of shit.

I agree with Tim. I think MMa might be a little too new to Lesnar to start teaching. They do need a HW TUF.

I like Lashley more than Brock. Plus.. He's on American Top Team. Many people agree that ATT is one of the best camps out there today. That camp just doesn't accept anyone. That says something. Maybe they see something that we haven't seen yet from Bobby. :D

  30. TIM

    December 17, 2008 at 3:18 am

FYI…NO Camp just accepts anyone…they have to prove themselves. I like Lashley and Lesnar mainly because i am from a wrestling and military background just like them and support them fully and want to see both men succeed. Although i have to say at this given moment Lashley wouldnt really have much of a chance against Lesnar…you see Lesanr has already overcome the biggest challange of all…being comfortable in the ring in a main event status against to notch competition meaning top 10 HWHGT fighters in the world….were as Lashley faced a nobody who was also making his pro debut…i am not saying he isnt good i am just saying he is taking the slow route which could end up being his demise but could break him into MMA as well. Bottom line until i see Lashley face top competition like Lesnar and win i wont be giving him to much credit or hype. But in 2 years i could see these men fighting and i would love to see that.

Also, iF Lashley can evolve into a skilled, MMA fighter, a potential match with former WWE alum Lesnar could be a promoter’s dream. There are lots of variables in this equation but “potentially” this match up could eventually look good from a marketer’s perspective. I realize that Brock is on a much higher level, as we speak, but if Lashley hooks up with the right people no one can deny how good Lashley can potentially become.

Talking about matching Lashley against Lesnar is jumping the gun a bit. I do think that somewhere down the line, if Lashley develops into a legitimate contender, that it would only make sense from a business standpoint for Dana White to make that fight. The fact that he's hooked up with American Top Team would indicate that he's well on his way. Clearly Lashley's not taking the same approach as Lesnar with being thrown to the wolves. If he does well in his next fights and does sign with the UFC, I'd like to see him in there with a Cheick Kongo or Heath Herring type.
