Former UFC fighter and TUF 10 veteran Wes Sims will likely step up and fight TNA wrestling star Bobby Lashley at Strikeforce “Miami” on Jan. 30 in Miami, FL.

Strikeforce sources told that the fight was “not confirmed,” but the bout is believed to be in the process of being finalized for the Showtime-televised event.

Fight contracts must still get signed and approved by the Florida Atlantic Commission.

With the fight being slated for the main card, Jay Hieron vs Joe Riggs will likely be on the unaired undercard.

I laughed a lil bit. I'll laugh even more when SF tried to say he's the same fighter he was when he fought in the UFC… also back when their division was low.

Bobbys gonna kill Wes. I love Wes, he’s a character; but he’s gonna grounded and pounded!!!! WES IS THE WORST WRESTLER EVERRRRR!!!! lol, BOBBY has an impressive background in collegiate wrestling. They’re just trying to make Bobbys name! I was thinking Hershal Walker would have been a perfect choice…..

Reguardless in a few years from now Bobby may be the only one who can handle Brock Lesnar! KEEP THAT IN MIND!

I want to see Lashley in the UFC. I think he is good enough. He needs to start competing in the big show instead of these people in Strikeforce.

i think lashley's tough i dont care about his wwe carear the guy is a great wrestler and he is a natural HW and from his few fights we have seen that he can hit pretty hard putting him against wes is a joke theres some tough exp guys in strikeforce now why not put him against one of them, and @ the people who say lashley aint looked that good, he might not be that skilled but to beat a guy like that, u have to beat him and lashley dont look easy to beat even if he dose just throw you around thats a win for him, plus evryone goes on about carwins size i saw a vid when lashley was talking to carwin an lashley looked a fair bit bigger

I bet he's not the only person who is from the WWE that could do what him and Brock are doing. People in WWE have amazing athletic ability. I bet Kurt Angle could come in here and put a dent on UFC too. He maybe getting a little older but the dude was Olympic caliber wrestler.

Olympic caliber is kind of an understatement, Kurt Angle is an Olympic Gold Medal winner.

It's a strange situation for Lashley and Strikeforce. He is a rookie in MMA at 4-0, but his huge name seems to lead people to think he should be fighting top 10 guys. I understand Strikeforce are looking to promote Lashley for a long time, so they are not willing to throw him to the wolves. But Lashley is a natural athlete, one of those guys who could excel at whatever he does, so why not give him the 'Lesnar treatment', throw him in with a top guy and see what he's got.

Because Lashley doesnt have the same mindset that Lesnar Does…Basically Brock went to Dana and said i want to fight int he UFC, i want to fight the best, either i can fight or i cant and i want a chance to prove it against the best. Well we all know how that ended…it hasnt and lets just say Lashley doesnt believe in his abilities as much as Lesnar does because as good as an athlete Lashley is…i believe Lesnar is just on a different level entirely although i would love to see that fight. Personally i like Lashley as well, i love any MMA fighter with a wrestling Background its the basics for the foundation of MMA.
