Brendan Schaub “No hugging, No high-fives” With Mirko ‘CroCop’ Filipovic

No easy task: After an impressive win over Gabriel Gonzaga, UFC fighter Brendan Schaub will look for a repeat performance against a respected MMA veteran Mirko CroCop.

“I think guys get so caught up in respecting Mirko so much they don’t approach him with a killer instinct. They don’t look for the finish. If you look at his last few fights he fought some tough guys, Frank Mir and Pat Barry, but they go out there and show him too much respect,” he explained.

“I respect the guy just as much as those guys do if not more. It was the same with Gonazaga. I respect these guys so much that I give them the best fight I can on the night. That’s my way of showing respect to these guys – I go in there and try and take their heads off. I put the pressure on them…There’s going to be no high-fiving. There’s going to be no hugging. I can tell you that.” [FightersOnly]

The two are scheduled to face off at UFC 128 on March 19th at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

I think you should show mirko some respect or you may end up fighting to regain conciousness

And I wouldnt say hes a bum persay but like iron said up above I think hes just a victim of the hype machine, remember how awesome matt hamil was, until jones almost killed him. it happens in this sport. what have you done for me lately, he beat gonzo who faught for the title but clearly has fallen from grace a bit. I have a feeling he can win this fight I just think that this is a big step up for him. Cro cop is at best a gatekeeper at this point but hes game and if you go sticking your chin in there like a fool your probably taking a nap.
