Chael Sonnen Bashes Anderson Silva, Claims He Speaks Perfect English

By
Updated: January 23, 2010

UFC middleweight contender Chael Sonnen must get past Nate Marquardt at UFC 109 to qualify for a possible title shot against Anderson Silva. That fight apparently hasn’t stopped Sonnen from looking forward to a title fight against Anderson Silva.

“I would imagine, who knows what Anderson’s doing. At the end of the day, who cares. If he wants to leave the division, leave the sport, who cares. Beat it, nobody tunes in to watch him anyways, and his little fake ‘I don’t speak English.”

“You want me to let you in on a secret, Anderson Silva speaks perfect English. He just has such a low amount of respect for you and all the rest of the media that he pretends he doesn’t. I’ve had conversations with Anderson Silva in perfect English, and on top of that he’s so boring to listen to that he and his rocket scientist manager, Ed Soares, who is also about as exciting as watching grass grow, have decided that Ed is better on the mic than Anderson, so just let Ed do the talking.”

“If Anderson ever signed to fight me, which is highly unlikely, he’ll be getting a verbal beating like you’ve never seen. And his language barrier won’t be the point of interest.”

Is connen on drugs, and why is he one fight away from a title shot? He isnt even a contender like, Henderson, Nate.M, W.silva, Franklin, and Beltfort. Those guys i named r great fighters and they dont even stand a chance. Why wouldnt silva leave the division, all the good fights R at 205. At 205 he can fight, Shogun, Rampage, Bones Jones. Anderson Silva is p4p, didnt sonnen get sub by maia. Anderson and sonnen, thats like comparing Michael Jordan to dennis rodman! give me a break he wants attention.

Sonnen's full of shit. He's just trying to get noticed. He seemed like a nice guy too so it's shocking to see what a full of shit d-bag he is. He doesn't really believe that crap he said. Just a pathetic attempt of getting attention and not knowing his place. I thought Belcher pretending he was ready for a title shit against Silva and Cote pretending he did anything more than survive against a toying around Silva was pathetic. lol

Dre, there's only one real contender on your list of MW's

Henderson – gone to the Other team.

Nate.M – The only actual contender on this list,

W.silva – needs to retire. He's never been the same since that That high-kick from cro-cop.

Franklin – Hes been destroyed twice already by silva and Ko'd by someone who I think is over-hyped right now. At this point he's just a gatekeeper.

Beltfort – Over-hyped and needs a couple of fights in the Ufc to prove hes a contender.

Anderson should put this guy down based on pure principal

Belfort is predicable and miko your right he is over-hyped. Anderson is not gonna fall for Vitor's trap. He is too smart and much more precise than Vitor. Anderson has just scrathced the surface. Anderson's striking is light years ahead of the average mma fighter. Imagine Anderson at full blast on his feet.

Miko i said they dont stand a chance against Silva, and he should move up 2 205. I know he already destroyed all of the middle-weight division thats why he is the p4p best. If Silva retired or moved up in weight, the fighters i named would be at the top of the divisions. So whats yr point. The only interesting fights for him R, GSP,Rampage, maybe Shogun, and he want fight Machida.

Ok now that you've elaborated on what you meant things are clearer

"So whats yr point" – Dre

Hey man, you're the one who called them contenders.

don't get defensive for using a poor choice of words

My point (quite obviously) was that they weren't contenders.

Anderson has never been in trouble on his feet. In fact he hasnt even been rocked! Fedor Has been in trouble on his feet. 1st Fujita hurt him bad and almost knocked him out. (he did recover and choke him out) 2nd Brett rogers a guy that used to change tires at sams club put him in trouble on his feet. If Anderson were to keep this fight on the feet He would knock out Fedor.

    A. Silva is they best striker in the history of MMA. He makes people look stupid on their feet.

Fedor has never been submitted. In fact hes never even been close 2 being submitted! Anderson has been submitted by trash who worked at car wash. If Fedor took this fight 2 the ground He would submit Anderson.

To bad their not in the same weight class or even in the same organization douche!

Takase and Chonan are world class fighters and I dont think they ever worked at a car wash. That was back than Anderson Has Evovled since than. Fedor Cannot stand up with Anderson and Fedor's game plan would be to take it to the ground. And Silva is no slouch either on the ground. Marquart, Leitus, Hendo who are eite level ground fighters all had their chance. Your right Fedor can submit anderson. and Anderson can also knock out fedor

    January 24, 2010 at 9:44 am

Their is not that much of a weight difference. Anderson walks around 225 and fedor 230.

    January 24, 2010 at 11:30 am

According to GG, fighters never get better or learn submission defense. lol That was a long time ago and Anderson beats way better people now days. Those guy's who submitted him before wouldn't last against him now. He barely knew BJJ back then. Don't kid yourself.

Also, Silva would resign with the UFC before signing with SF.

i guess the easiest way to a title show is to bash the champ. fitch is boring like sonnen so maybe he should start talking trash about gsp.
