Dana White Holds Nothing Back About Kimbo and ‘Scumbag Promoters’

Dana White Holds Nothing Back About Kimbo and ‘Scumbag Promoters’

This is about as heated as any Dana White interview I’ve ever seen. He chimes in on what he thinks of EliteXC’s fallout over the past week following Kimbo’s 14 second TKO loss to Seth Petruzelli.

Everyone else will share opinions on this one, one of these comments will reflect mine. So i just wanted to say thanks dana white for entertaining me for 2 minutes. your usage of phuk was very impactful.

Say what you want but Dana's right. EliteXC should fold after that bullshit. Just them lying about Seth winning calling it the greatest moment in MMA history and calling him Rocky should make everybody want to puke.

I think Dana was right on here. He didn't hold anything back. The only thing that amazed me is how pissed off Dana is. Shouldn't he be happy that Elite is shooting themselves in the foot. Say what you will about him but it sounds like he does care about the reputation of the sport.

Ha Ha. Sometimes i love dana's bluntness. He is right though. The Shaws are putting a black eye on the sport by trying to carry a joke like kimbo.

Dana boosting the sport, true. All about money, more true. I'm glad he tells it how it is. KOms right its bad for business for these track suit dollar sign chain wearing promoters to put their company on the shoulders of a newbie spectacle. Lesson learned. Dana couldn't be more right Scala and Gary Shaw are grade A scumbags.

    I love Dana.

Pulls no punches and tells is like it is.

    He's the fucking man.

I love it. Just one thing… Dana’s number one priority is making money too. That is his job, that is his career.

Dana the biggest SCUMBAG in MMA

This is a case where the pot is calling the kettle black.

All of you are dumb @$$$E$ none of you know $h!T. So what if Kimbo lost big deal, Dana hates any competion he's a freaking rat, a wanna be "Gangsta", he's gonna talk crap about EliteXC and anyone else, just like he speaks crap about Affliction. I knew this and I said it last year he would regret not paying Fedor what he's worth., so now of course he wants Affliction out of the MMA business. Look what he did with PRIDE bought and destroyed it, and PRIDE was the best thing that ever came out of MMA. All of you chumps that don't know a damn thing about MMA will of course agree with the bald rat with anything he says.

Yeah Kimbo is a street brawler so what, he now trains MMA most good fighters are from the street, when I fight I see all of you preppy punks come in the gym and want to fight just because you seen a UFC fight but most of you are sissys and I love to whip your punk asses on the mat.

How boring would it be if all we had to look at was the UFC, thank GOD for all these new organizations coming out that actually care to pay their fighter some serious cash unlike the UFC.

Watch more fighters leave the UFC money talks BS walks.

    October 11, 2008 at 5:55 pm

I miss PRIDE too but Dana just capitalized on their screw ups. They lost their major distribution and tanked, so yeah the UFC swooped in. Anyone with the means and motive would have. But what he's saying is guy who don't know shit about the sport making it look bad. Like Dana said if you don't like the ground game then get the f out of MMA.

    October 11, 2008 at 6:09 pm

jouncool….yeah, but at least he does it while boosting the sport, not destroying it.

aside from hating dana for trying to down his competition for making mma bigger than just the ufc…this interview is cool as hell. i agree with all of that and i believe it that the shaws are just using mma as a money making scheme. hes pissed because if they f up the reputation of mma then the ufc suffers for it.

  16. Ryan S

    October 11, 2008 at 10:54 pm

Yeah, no one said anything about other organizations. Most of us want there to be more organizations, but that one seems to suck and is run by guys who have no clue. Most fighters come from the streets, yeah, but they aren't hand fed easy opponents to boost themselves up, or are told how to fight the fight by the people that sign their checks.

    October 12, 2008 at 4:25 am

    Jun Da Silva:

You may feel that pride was the best thing to come out of MMA but zuffa didnt destroy it.

They tried to ressurect Pride but they couldn't get anyone to do business with them in Japan.

    And NO, before you try and say it;

it wasn't because Japanese officials didn't like Dana, it was because of the stigma attached to pride for being associated with the yakuza and all of the poor business arrangements that fell apart like their TV deal.. and the VP of pride comitting suicide.

and did you forget the part where it was later found out that pride officials were also known/accused of rigging fights? (check rampage's testimony)

Dana and Zuffa didnt do a damn thing to pride,

Pride destroyed itself and Zuffa just bought the leftover scraps.

I'll always miss Pride and think it was the best but I have no delusions of what happened.

Learn your history before you rant sir, otherwise you just end up looking like a know nothing opinionated keyboard warrior.

Very funny dane truth is most of you's love this game because of it's brutality not because "Wow good jiu-jitsu skills" most of the UFC's fighters just love going toe to toe just like Kimbo. Rampage, Chuck, Arlovski, Tim Silvia, Belfort, Wand do I really need to go on and most of you start booing if their on the floor grappling for 2 minutes, please, appreciate the art of BJJ, okay. You guys are just bobbleheads to Dana thats all and know nothing about MMA. Yeah Dana is going to talk smack but everyone has a bad day are all the people Kimbo knocked out before fake, hell no 100% real his style is to knock your head off your shoulders and if he went to grapple you guys would boo. The UFC just has most of the popular fighters we know for now but lets wait and see what Affliction will bring next, can anyone say Fedor this guy will knock your head into an other galaxy.

Miko F you and ef you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keyboard warrior my @SS I'll whip your punk @ss any day of the week blindfolded. Yeah the Yakuza might of had their paws in PRIDE just like the Mafia owns the UFC so what. Are you that stupid to think the UFC just paid 100 million dollars for Pride just to help them out, damn, I have a bridge in Brooklyn you might be interested in. They had no intentions to bring back PRIDE okay they want the UFC to be the most sucessful MMA company out there no other company should matter besides them, wrong. They now want to destroy AFFLICTION because they effed up not paying Fedor what he wanted ooops. Big mistake Dana this will bite you in your @ssssss. The PPV gross AFFLICTION will make is going to be ridiculous.

Don’t hate the player, hate the game!
The FIGHTERS are the only ones who deserve our loyalty.
Everyone else in the “buisiness”, including Dana, is trying to run a successful buisiness. That’s just the facts. EliteXE just screwed up, crossed the line. Dana is right about that. I love the way he rants about it, but he is not objective.

My god jun. you're all over the place and everything you say is flawed and makes no sense.

Let me ask you something. why would Zuffa BUY pride just to "destroy" it?

why wouldn't they just let it all crumble all on its own?

why would Zuffa take the former owners to court after the sale (I bet you didn't even know about that)?

educate yourself and dont even bother answering me because I'm done with your idiotic KEYBOARD WARRIOR antics.

    you are a F*&king moron

probably most mma fans right now hate the ground game but the guys who comment on this site aren’t those people. i come here because these guys know mma. so trust me we appreciate bjj. i did boxing and martial arts since i was a kid and bjj for the past 3 years. so right now i’m more excited to see it go to the ground because its newer for me.

Dana is right, plain and simple…, Fedor is the man, eventually the UFC will make a fight happen with Fedor & Couture ,ELITEXC is a over produced attempt to compete with the ufc,and the competeion is great for UFC, but AFFLICTION is the show to look out for, Shaw will run ELIEXC into the ground, I'd be suprised if they are still here this time next year.
