Dana White “If Chuck loses on Saturday he will retire”

Notable quotes from UFC President Dana White on TSN “Off The Record”

“He’s gota look good in his next fight”

“If Chuck loses on Saturday he will retire”

“Fedor is fat and out of shape. He looked terrible in his last fight”

OTR’s Michael Landsberg, stuck it to Dana on several occasions during the interview. Dana stated he didn’t cross the line with his video blog, but took it down after getting a lot of media attention. He also claims the UFC credentials all “Real Media” like ESPN, but Sherdog, who provides ESPN with most of its relative MMA content and rankings has been denied credentials for years. White then admitted his beef with Sherdog is all about a bad “DVD” deal.

Great interview, watch it here.

I'm not sure how knocking Arlovski out in the first round looks bad. It really wouldn't surprise me if it ended up being that UFC cuts Liddell as opposed to him actually retiring. Liddell hasn't had good fights in 2 years. I think it could easily just be a slump.

i agree there is no way chuck is retiring even if he does lose, hes gonna get cut, which from a business standpoint is retarded because win or lose he puts butts in the seats

dana proves every week that he is in over his head. he's brought the ufc this far, but it's clear that he's neither mature nor intelligent enough to take it any farther.

Are you kidding, Dana acting like this only stirs the pot for the MMA world and the UFC he alone puts butts in the seats along with marque fighters, When Liddel loses as i believe he will he may very well reire…i mean come on he is no randy couture and well face it he is kinda washed up and a planned out fighter, you can pick him apart very easily now as evidence showed in his last 4 fights, unless he drasticlly comes in and puts on a performance of a lifetime which he is very capable of then i do see him retiring as he has nothing left to prove in this sport and he has the money to just relax from here on out. Honestly is it the competition in so good in the UFC or is it that Liddell is past his prime and way over his head now in competition. We will wait and see….interesting enough Liddell quoting about a week ago that i am not done look at couture i knocked him out twice and look where he is now he came back and won the HWGHT title…News flash Liddell you are no Couture so get over it.

Tim good post. Like I have said lidell just never evolved his game. He kept the same style that worked when he was champ and they were givin hime tailored made fihters for his style. Now all the top guys can strike and chuck is getting beat. Chuck will lose and he will not retire for good. He may retire for a minute but not permanently.

i thought dana didn't look good in that interview he bashes mma sites now and won't credential them but before the media even covered mma thats all he had now he turns his back on them.

Dana gettin publicity is always good for the ufc. No matter what it is. He wants people to here about the ufc. This is why he does the dumbass annoying shit that I and many others hate him for.

you have to admit though. dana is really the one that put the UFC on the map. look at gary shaw of the elitexc. who wanted to see that fat fuck from boxing spread any news about elitexc? chuck will retire if he loses. shogun may very well retire too as well if he loses. shogun looked like complete shit in his last fight. utter complete shit. what happen to all these pride fighters? even wanderlei lost that aggression. henderson lost the will. mirko got owned in the UFC too. only person that stayed in focus was anderson silva, and he absolutely dominated everyone. he has yet to face GSP.

wandy took alot of beatings and was already losing before he came to the ufc, shogun had no acl and went through back to back acl reconstructions and was off for more than a year he stilled had skills just no cardio and he is young so it might take time but he will be back.henderson is old and fought champs back to back but i think he still has something left you forgot rampage who is doing fine as well, and mirko yeah he lost but he has had a long career.

not mentally he (rampage) doesn't. also, big nog is another good example. came from pride pretty much worn out. he's only 33, but honestly, he looks like he's in the 40s. dont' get me wrong, i liked pride when it was around. i'm just saying the pride fighters didn't adapt well.

some of the pride guys have already been around ahwile so i don't think it was adapting that caused any of there problems and some are doing fine.did you expect them to come to the ufc and win every fight?i think they all came and fit in fine all near the top of there devisions nog, rampage, silva all heald belts.also please new derek change your name a little so we don't get confused.

why dont people understand that when most of the PRIDE fighters came to the ufc, they were beyond their prime, for example, NOG, CROCOP, HENDO, WANDERLEI. In their prime these guys were all unstoppable, and not to mention FEDOR, who still dominates at 33. and the only reason dana bashes fedor is bc hes not in the ufc making dana rich, even though hes destroyed 5 of his former champs. FEDOR IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD, just look what MMA legends like Bas, Nog, randleman and many more are saying fedor, and not what some big shot promoter has to say

you know liddell may be losing his game, but lets not forget who has the most KO's in this sport. id have to agree he should just give it a rest for career sakes but come on Liddell is (was) a legend

Chuck is a legend! But I think the sport has passed him by at the elite level… he could still fight (and win for sure) but not against the UFC's LHW elite (Shogun, Machida, Rampage..etc)

I for one want to see him fight again… but it's difficult – cos I don't wanna see him get KTFO again… and end up becoming a joke like Ken Shamrock

Maybe he should move up to heavy weight and fight some of the lower level (i.e slower/less lew rounded) guys… also, Cro cop would be a great fight if he ended up back in the UFC
