Dana White “If you think wrestling and jiu-jitsu is boring, you’re in the wrong … business, brother.”

UFC President Dana White continues his media assault on EliteXC after Seth Petruzelli commented about EliteXC promoters approaching him to stand with Kimbo Slice at EliteXC “Heat”.

“What makes MMA so exciting is that anyone can win on any given day. Even a guy who’s losing badly can pull a submission out … and win. That’s what’s been going on in my sport for nine years, and it’s why I love it.

“These guys are selling the sport because it’s popular, but now they’re trying to change the rules. … If you think wrestling and jiu-jitsu is boring, you’re in the wrong … business, brother.”

“This is illegal, these guys should go to jail for that … You could bet on this fight in Vegas. It’s no secret Kimbo stinks on the ground. It’s no secret Petruzelli should take him to the ground. But what you didn’t know is that the scumbag promoter had told him not to.”

“If this happened in Nevada, or if it happened with me, the FBI would be investigating it. If this thing does not get investigated properly, it’s the biggest slap in the face to sports.”

I agree. Usually i kinda cringe when Dana starts bashing other promotions but he is dead right about this one. I know people put good money on Seth to win by sub so how must they feel to find out (if it lasted long enough) it was never going to happen.

This is an absolute disgrace to the sport, how can a promoter get in to MMA and try and take away part of the action.

    Jared Shaw is a tool.

Gary shaw is a shiny tracksuit wearing fat tool.

Dana is bang on with his comments. It's called "MIXED" Martial Arts for a reason. Elite Xc seems to want oppents to fight Elite 's fighters their way. Kimbo was exposed for what he is and always was, a younger version of Tank Abbott. The UFC left Cavemen like him behind years ago.

Exactly 100% agree…Sad thing is some people on this site say they love MMA but then they say the same thing that wrestling and BJJ is boring…its MMA dumb asses not Boxing if you only watch for a KO and sickle upon the tap outs and decisions then your watching the wrong sport..Sure i love KO etc but i dont care what it is i love all aspects of MMA thats what makes it so interesting to watch a guy can win or lose from anything.

Dana is known for his brutal honesty and sometimes it does not appeal to people but in this situation he really says it how it is, I think he is is 100% correct.

I usually agree with alot of stuff Dana says. Sure alot of it is against other companies but still true. The only thing I know I can't agree with him on and most others don't either is when he bashes Fedor.

It pretty much shows how no one really thinks of Elite as a real promotion with any credibility.. Dana is right.. if it was Dana asking Mir to stand with Brock, the FBI would be all over his ass and the internet would be FULL of fire Dana, send him to jail, fine him for a million. its tampering and illegal.

If its true.. elite is done.. if not then it needs to be confirmed either way there needs to be a real investigation.

Yeah, we're all in agreement, he is absolutely right on this. Did anyone else notice he called it his sport?
