Urijah Faber will have to wait for his bantamweight title shot, as UFC champion Dominick Cruz tore his ACL while on set at The Ultimate Fighter Live, according to MMAWeekly.

UFC President Dana White confirms the bad news via titter.

It’s true Cruz blew his ACL. Stay tuned for more info

Cruz last fought on Oct. 1st defeating “Mighty Mouse” Demetrious Johnson by unanimous decision. It is uncertain now if the UFC will elect to crown a interim champion while Cruz rehabilitates his injury.

The title fight between the TUF coaches was set as the co-main event at UFC 148 on July 7th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

What does the dictator mean when he says he does not know if there will be a interim belt holder? Please….. cruz will take the same route as the paper champ gsp, so the dictator will have no choice but to have a interim match. The question is who will faber fight for the interim belt? Dana what a joke this guy is. Cruz will be out a year or more just like the paper champ no doubt in my mind.
