Cobra… stop hating on the guy, he chose a deal that better suited himself (Japanese fans love him more than Americans and you just prove it)

cro cop is a big hipocrite. he needs to come out with an official statement or something because i'm confused as hell. plus, once you fight for the UFC, then you fight exclusively for the UFC. that's like playing for the NFL and then playing for the Canadian football league at the same time. crocop, it don't work like that. if he wants a shot at the title, he needs to earn it. just like how most HWs earned it in the UFC. if he wants a shot at fedor, the best way to do it would be to whoop the current UFC champion's ass… brock lesnar or frank mir. then call out fedor.

  4. Mike

    June 18, 2009 at 10:10 am

LOL derek….. Cro cop would NEVER get a shot at Fedor in the UFC why? Cos Fedor will probably never go to the UFC.

    i don't think he's saying they'd fight in the ufc…..lol mike

…. that contradicts the point of Cro Cop fighting in the ufc…. once he signs to the UFC thats it… look at Randy, enough said.

It's true, Mike, Americans don't like those who give their word, then break it for something better. Just don't give your word. Be a man of honor.

Mike: What Derek is saying, is that if Cro Cop beats the best in the UFC, then he can call out Fedor and either ask Fedor to come fight him in the UFC or leave the UFC to go fight Fedor. Personally, I think Cro Cop's time has come and gone and he'll never be high-enough ranked contender to legitimately challenge Fedor.

everyone in the UFC at HW is a nobody…. only good fighters left they have is Cain and Carwin.

EVERYONE in the UFC calls out Fedor yet 0 of them leave the UFC to fight the best (and he is)

lets face it, UFC HW is TERRIBLE.

he gave his word to scum (and dana is, he makes about 5x the amount per event than a fighter makes in 1 fight, and again that is even if he has broken his word.)

so yet again, I'll say it to you,

If Mirko beats all the Top UFC HWs do you think that Dana will let him leave? HELL NO He'll contract him to the BALLS before he lets him fight anyone worth his time (why wasn't he contracted BEFORE THE AL TURK FIGHT?!). my point is, if he wants to fight Fedor, Mirko did 100% the right thing.

Its been alomost 3 years since he won any significant fight. Now he's off to Dream to fight a guy Mighty Mo who isn't a contender anywhere. I don't know why he's fighting but it's not to be the best anymore. As far as I'm concerned Cro cop's a non issue.

  12. Mike

    June 18, 2009 at 1:11 pm

LOL you really think UFC has the best? then you're silly.

    the top 2 heavies out there now are;

for me personally i'd go for Affliction.

    Quality over Quantity

Add the unbeaten Rogers to that and well it becomes interesting.

  13. dane drebin

    June 18, 2009 at 1:18 pm

i agree with mike the best heavies are in afliction. afliction wont be around much longer tho because all they have are good heavyweights. once affliction is gone i think we will see a lot of them coem to the ufc and striekforce making both fo their rosters better.

Thank you Cobra Clutch and Other Derek for clarifying my points before. What i was trying to say, Mike, was that Affliction does not have any more decent HWs for Fedor to fight. Let's be honest. Very few people are interested in Barnett vs Fedor. And once Fedor beats Barnett, which Affliction HW is next for Fedor? It'll obviously be a no name. Once Fedor beats Barnett, he needs to sign a one fight deal with the UFC.. or even a three fight deal — where Fedor comes to the UFC to clean out the decision. Right now, Brock, Mir, Cain, and Carwin are probably the guys to beat. Randy and Nog are past their primes. Plus, the UFC IS WORKING on getting better HWs by having a HW season on the next TUF. Kimbo will be coming, even though he has no MMA skills. Some other good fighters are coming, if you look at the roster. Bottom line is that Fedor needs to stop bullshitting himself. CroCop is also over the hill and fighting no names over in Japan. He needs to stop being a pussy and come over to the UFC to committ. He wants to fight 3-4 times more this year. He should get that rematch with Kongo.

  17. derek

    June 18, 2009 at 1:26 pm

And best HWs are not in Affliction. Affliction does have the best HW, named Fedor, but that's it. Roy Nelson is done once the fight goes to the ground. AA never had a good chin, and only now is that coming to light. Tim Sylvia, IMO, has always been the biggest joke of a MMA fighter. I'm glad UFC let his ass go. Paul Buentello is not on Fedor's level. Who else? Maybe the light HWs may move up. But Soku is off to Dream and Vitor is still working on his confidence. Bes tbet is for Fedor to come to UFC. He can fight any of those HWs — Brock, Mir, Cain, or even Carwin. But I much rather prefer Anderson Silva stop bullshitting himself also and move up to fight Fedor at a catchweight.

  19. Mike

    June 18, 2009 at 1:30 pm

Fedor will retire before he goes to the UFC just so you know.

Fedor will NEVER drop his Sambo comps.

Mir is a joke…. Nog is nowhere NEAR past his prime… he was VERY VERY sick when he fought Mir as for his fight with Sylvia…. it was tailor made for Sylvia.

    June 18, 2009 at 1:36 pm

i also think the best hw up and comers are in the ufc. I also agree that after fedor beats barnett then there is no-one else to fight outside of the ufc. I'm a fedor fan and a ufc fan and I want to see him fight in the cage before he retires.

  23. Mike

Fedor weighs around 235 at fight time, he'd never cut to 205, he hates dieting.

    June 18, 2009 at 1:47 pm

and anderson silva walks around 215-220 correct from what i heard before? and he's only got a couple fights in the ufc left right?

  26. Mike

    June 18, 2009 at 1:49 pm

Fedor needs to stop bullshitting himself? lol

    Fedor at Affliction makes $1m+

Top fighters at UFC make $250k?

sorry but yeah… think i'd choose Affliction too, also there is Rogers on the card.

UFC has up and comers…. sure, Carwin, Cain and Lesnar…. but they aren't the finished product yet, by that time Fedor will have retired a rich man.

The shit you guys dream up about match-ups is hilarious. Fedor vs. Machida? Hahaha. That will NEVER happen. Look, half the stuff in this post (once again) is about Fedor. And (once again) the post is about two completely different fighters. hahahaha.

People….PLEASE….get off Fedor's nuts already! Do we really have to discuss Fedor in EVERY post on here? This is hilarious, sad, and silly all at the same time. hahaha. (siiiigh).

  28. Mike

    June 18, 2009 at 2:54 pm

when you're talking about who someone moving up the ranks in HW should be aiming for… YES Fedor's name should be brought up.

it was YOU who flamed him for not fighting in the UFC it was YOU who insinuated that he is no longer good enough to fight the best (that is fedor)

so in a round about way, you started the Fedor discussion.

Fedor can only solidify his legacy by finishing his career fighting top guys… not bums. Come on… AA? Big Tim? Barnett?? Cro Cop wants a shot at Fedor, but let's not forget that CroCop (when he was in his prime) could not beat Fedor. Mir is probably not as great as he used to be due to the bike accident. And you're right about Cain and Carwin not being finished products yet. Brock actually has a long way to go, but his size and wrestling makes up for a lot of it. But back to the original topic of CroCop, he is ending his career by fighting crap fighters. Yes, everybody wants a piece of CroCop, but he needs to fight in the UFC.

  33. Mike

    June 18, 2009 at 3:26 pm

    June 18, 2009 at 3:32 pm

damn all this fedor talk is getting old. we get both sides. on one side theres the people like myself that respect fedors accomplishments and know he is on of the best in the world. on the other there are people who think hes over rated and think his acconmplishments against the top ranked fighters in the world dont mean anything because it hasnt happened in the ufc. the latter seems pretty stupid imo but im tired of agruing with people who are too ignorant to know how good fedor is and how far above the rest he is. ill just sit back and watch him continue to destroy people. people can hate all they want all the greatest athletes in the world have people who just want to belittle their accomplishments while their fatasses sit on the couch and eat bean dip. its like that in every sport.

now on to cro cop. i think this is risky because mighty moe can knock cro cop out. If cro cop wins he doesnt gain that much because moe hasnt really beaten anyone in mma. if cro cop loses it could hurt him a lot worse. i dont care if cro cop wants to beat on some people in dream as long as he fights in the ufc against a real legit opponent soon and doesnt lose to any cans. i think after getting crippled from that gonzaga kick cro cop needs to beat on some nobodys to get his confidence back especially if his knees arent fully healed yet which is what he said after the al turk fight.

ay a lot of people here with little memory. I remember that mirko aviation signed with the UFC only 4 fights. Dana White, but the manipulator makes us believe that all anger mirko CroCop by a crown. when in fact only making this a contest that was missing to complete the contract. regarding the physical condition of CroCop … I doubt very much that Mirko's knees are healed. cruciate ligament operation takes a long recovery may also be noted that in the battle against the Croatian Mustapha Al Turk only fight with their fists and I do not use the legs which are strong. calculation was that 70% of its actual capacity.

@ Mike: I hope your post directly under mine wasn't addressing me, because if you were, then you are absolutely wrong, and need to learn how to read. Derek started the Fedor discussion for one, and for two, I said that CRO COP can't fight top name talent anymore, not Fedor.

And Cro Cop will never fight Fedor again. He did well when they met, but it's over. It's not going to happen, and you all need to let Cro Cop fight his last fights and go off into the sunset. There's no final championship run. The guy just wants to make some extra cash…then dash.

Cro Cop has lost my respect. He has lowered himself to win against mid level competition, by double eye poke! What a chump.

  39. Mike

    June 19, 2009 at 1:03 pm

if he wanted to make extra cash he’d just go into acting… he’s done it already and could do it again.

the guy has just come back from MAJOR surgery he needs TIME to get his confidence back up.

no one moaned and bitched about Frank Mir when he had 2 years off for Major surgery due to his Accident, then lost 2 of his first 3 fights (both of them to nobodies, and yes i realise I’m calling Vera a nobody!)

Mighty Mo is NOT a nobody to anyone that watches K-1 which is exact the way that Cro cop will fight this…. STANDING!

Dream is a better way for a cro cop to go

    1) he wouldn’t be exclusive.
    2) It is in a ring.
    3) He’ll be getting paid more (everyone knows that Dana and his bosses need all the profit they can get)
    4) if he wins enough fights and sets up a rematch with Overeem (or rogers if Overeem loses to him) then a fight with Fedor is WELL on the cards.

UFC is WAY over hyped its full of Wrestlers that take the fights to the ground do no damage then walk away with the win.

as for Nate…. nice trolling UFC for terrible Refs there mate.

@Mike: Nobody complained about Mir because he didn't publicly say he was going to "die trying" to get the UFC belt knowing that he already signed somewhere else. If Crocop had any fans left he spit in all their faces.
