EliteXC News: Diaz’s Camp Responds to KJ Noons “Cryfest”

After the public airing of KJ Noons statement to the media, Nick Diaz’s camp responds with a point by point rebuttal to statements made by Noons on the team run website GracieFighter.

Some of these are classic,

GF- 1) Earth to KJ; you don’t have a boxing career. No one in the boxing world knows who you are. 2) Another MMA company would have paid you less and not given you a title shot, especially when you were 1-1.
3) If you will not fight Diaz due to a breach of contract by EliteXC then why would you fight Alvarez for the same terms?

GF- 1) Nick Diaz, Jake Shields and Frank Shamrock were flown in to shoot an instructional trailer on grappling for the CBS show. The signings were an after thought. You weren’t flown in because you aren’t a grappler. We are sure they will fly you in if they need an instructional on whining. 2) Your contract was for Showtime. Diaz and Shields both signed longer deals for CBS. Nathan Diaz signed a special long term contract for Spike TV etc…
This is a business not Burger King, you can’t have it ‘your way’.

GF- Diaz got no extra tickets in his home town of Stockton and isn’t complaining. 2) Bringing a fighter into the ring to promote an upcoming fight is standard practice. Your (I could of been a contender) drunk father, started a near riot and should be banned from further events and immediately placed in an Alcoholics Anonymous treatment center for his own self respect.

Chuck Liddell makes 100s of thousands more than Keith Jardine even though he lost to him. Diaz does not complain that Kimbo makes much more. He understands marketability, why can’t you? 5) Divide this and then multiply it several times: KJ = little bitch > KJ = real champion
6) We agree you do need more Vaseline. You are used to it and damn those EliteXC guys for not using it when they bend you over.

The entire response is quite long, read the whole thing here.

Didn't Diaz already loose to Noons? If so I see why Diaz wants the rematch and as for Noons it would be a step back I think. Plus I just think Diaz is a punk. He didn't talk so tough while he was in the UFC. He tried to but when he lost he couldn't say much after.

Oswald I couldnt hav said it better myself dude. Agree 100% fighting Diaz again doesnt make since. He already whiped his ass. He dont need to do it again. What he needs to do is leaver EliteXc and go to Dream or UFC possibly even affliction. But seriously beatin Diaz again doesnt prove anything or move him higher in the rankings. So why do it. And it also aint gonna get him payed more either. Diaz can make as many excuses as he wants about the last fight but it doesnt matter KJ is too quick, explosive and dynamic of a striker to get beat by Diaz and as we seen in the last fight he is too slow shooting in as he ate to huge knees right to his face.

So what??? If Diaz sucks then kick his ass again. Is sitting out going to help his career or his rankings any more? As Diaz states, a fighter should not be picking his opponents. The only complaint I could respect is in regards to the money. That I could understand. But don't bitch and whine about who the organization puts in front of you. That is like saying that Silva made a bad move by fighting Rich the second time. We all knew it was going to pretty much be a copy of the first time. Did Anderson cry? No! Like a true fighter (not to mention champ!), he took the fight. Look at the Tito vs. Shamrock fued. Tito kicked the shit out of Ken twice…did he bitch and moan (and I am surprised because bitched about everything else which makes this point even better) about fighting Ken a third time? No. He decided to get paid and kick the shit out of someone he has beaten already. I respect KJ and I think he has a huge heart but he is not that good. Who has he beaten? I think Diaz had an off-night but let's just say for a second that you are right, and he sucks, then who has KJ beaten? Steve, do you honestly beleive he will be a factor at the 155 or 170 pound divisions in the UFC? Are you kidding me? Look at his record. I even included it via the Sherdog website for your review:
Seriously, is a guy that could be calling his own shots? KJ would be three and out at the UFC. I think that even Randy screwed up because although he was not happy, he could have fought one or two more times, finished his contract and left. He could have fought Fedor by now. But at the same time, he is a proven vet that has earned respect and EARNED HIS RIGHT TO CALL SHOTS. Does KJ think he earned his right by beating Edwards, Berto, and Diaz? Come on KJ…there is no one else for you to fight. Either fight Diaz, beat him, and continue to win so that you can prove me wrong and so that you can call your shots or go back into the woodwork.

Elite is going to fall if they let Jared Shaw try to be a Dana White wannabe. This should be internal and he brought it out in public to try to get more ratings in October since their last CBS show was a flop. Noons hates Diaz, doesn't want to give him an opportunity, thats true. But they could have worked this out better.

Businessman, I see where you're coming from, but I think I agree with Steve. If they do it this time, were does it stop with their favorite fighters? They gonna make Noons fight everyone two and three times? And his record really isn't that bad, he is just a beginner, but Diaz doesn't suck, really, and could not take down Noons for the life of him. I think Noons could turn into a much better fighter, and probably will with time.

Morey…I am not a huge Dana White fan, but please don't insult him by comparing Jared Shaw to him. Shaw is more like a K-Fed wannabe.

elitexc is a crappy company and this is why, its wwf style hyped fights are ridiculous especially when anyone who knows mma know these guys are either washed up fighters or kimbo slice. i saw him in a commercial for some fighting game, thats gotta piss off alot of real mma fighters. but yea nick diaz is a punk so i dont think he should get his fight. there obviously trying to get him the belt and i wouldnt be suprised if they fixed it like the first kimbo fight on cbs

Nichole. I was saying that Jared Shaw is trying to be like Dana White by trying to go from behind the scenes to be the face behind the org. I'm not saying Dana White is trying to be like Shaw, but that Shaw is trying to be like Dana White. You do what works, and the UFC and Dana White have worked.

Idont think Diaz is terrible but I just think supremly overrated. And I feel Diaz talks tougher the he is. Dont disrespect somebody and expect them to give u a title shot. My biggest thing is tht Diaz hasnt really earned a rematch with KJ. Calling someone out dont make u the #1 contender nor does beating Thomas Denny. Earn it and prove u r the number 1 contender and then it will happen. Because like KJ said he wants to fight the #1 contender which is without a doubt Eddie Alvarez who is a beast. And would be a much tougher fight for him.

I agree with that Steve. Before defeating Gomi people thought Diaz wasn't great and couldn't beat the best in the UFC. After that fight all of a sudden he became one of the best in the world.

He hasn't looked that good to me in a while. I think this fight is all about market and not about who deserves a title shot. I like watching Diaz, I laugh at his antics, but he doesn't deserve to call the shots on the title.

just look at the level of talent diaz has fought in the past. hes still super young…boring but a tactful fighter. he definately deserves a rematch. theres no one else aside from diaz…oh wait except alvarez, but he fights in that suppossed dream which diaz has dominated in. we dont even know how good alvarez is cause he hasnt fought any formidable opponents in the ufc. hes exciting dont get me wrong but nick diaz has fought some tough dudes. he lost some and won some and i think hes only 24. i say alvarez vs. diaz and the winner fights the whinny strictly stand up, hasnt fought many dudes, got lucky against diaz noons. <– that dudes a chump.

wouldnt call KJ destroying Diaz uck since he about knocked him out twice with vicious knees and complete overwhelmed him but I still think that Diaz and Alvarez should fight if Diaz wants a title shot and Alvarez hasnt beat anyone in the UFC because he hasnt fought in the UFC lol. And as far as Diaz dominating in Dream well he only fought in the tournament once and Elite pulled him out of the tourney to fight in there org. again and Alvarez completely killed it beating 2 of the top guys who are or were in the top 10. Joachim Hansen is a beast, and Kawajiri is very impressive fighter with some serious wins himself. So saying Diaz desrerves a title b/c he fought in the UFC doesnt make much since b/c Dream has I think better Lightweights with the exception of B.J Penn. Aoki is the best submission guy in the all of MMA and Gomi who may not fight for Pride fights for Sengoku and has never fought in the UFC so basically when Pride was bought out the UFC didnt take too many fighters from the lower weight classes. EliteXc could easily try and grab a couple of those guys but no they want to keep trying to make money over the overrated Diaz but for sure Alvarez deserves the title shot and if he has to beat the hel out of Diaz to get the shot then I would love to see that happen first.

wow anyone who thinks aoki is the best submission guy is a jackass did u not see the exhibition between him and fedor? made him look like a bitch. And if you think kj destroyed diaz ur an idiot. never went passed the first round kj got lucky with the cuts and if the pussy ever does agree to rematch hes a gonna recieve a barrage of punches before getting submitted by the overall better fighter who is actually deserving of the title to begin with 1-1 doesnt deserve a title shot
