Fedor Backs Off Retirement Talk

Fedor Emelianenko vs Antonio Silva

Following his doctors stoppage loss to Antonio Bigfoot Silva at last Saturdays Strikeforce event, a bloody, swollen and defeated Fedor Emelianenko seemed certain of retirement. Now that he is back home in Russia, the great heavyweight has change his tune.

“I rushed to declare my retirement. I will fight more. Possibly, I will return to the Heavyweight Grand-Prix. I am capable of having a few more fights. I didn’t make any analysis yet on why I lost. I need to recover, I can’t see very well yet.” [BloodyElbow]

With all the money surrounding the Fedor, I doubt this is the last time we see him fight.

He better take this seriously if he is not going to retire. He needs to change his habits of never watching his opponents previous fights, not training with other camps/fighters, and learning more about other disciplines. MMA pros eat, breath, and sleep MMA and he just expect to walk in beat these guys. Times have changed and these are now bigger, stronger, faster, and always hungry to learn more. Fedor will need to do this if he wants to get back to winning.
