Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi will take on Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou in a non-title fight on the CBS portion of Strikeforces “Fedor vs Rogers”.

i think mousassi vs. henderson will be a setup for their next show. if mousai wins soku impressively it could be the main event.

Dana White: I Guarantee You 1,000 Percent That Dan Henderson is Signed By Strikeforce
November 5, 2009 at 11:40 pm
According to the report, a source close to the situation confirmed Henderson had signed with Strikeforce and White echoed the news, though Strikeforce’s Scott Coker denied a deal is done.
“I guarantee you 1,000 percent that Dan Henderson is signed by Strikeforce,” said White. “Dan and I have been friends and we will continue to be friends, but it just didn’t work out and he went to Strikeforce.”

wow, dan took less money just to fight on strikeforce. i would have continued to fight for the UFC for its marketbility. no telling when strikeforce is going under. once fedor loses, strikeforce will already lose fan base. cung le is off stroking his acting career, but otherwise, he is one hell of a fighter. mousasi will destroy henderson. henderson's experience will probably keept it ogin

This is actually good for Strikeforce. They have a deal with CBS, are growing a good roster, and have Fedor. I don't think they're going to go down as quick as Elite did. I think they have a shot, and have made all the right moves SO FAR. We'll see.

I take back everything good I just said about Strikeforce. I just saw that it's not going to be live on the West Coast, because CBS are pussies and won't air fighting before 9pm. So, now I am forced to watch it online or through a freakin tape delay.
Whatever. This is why UFC rules.

Random Name, it isn't Strikeforce's fault that the network doesn't want to air the fight earlier than 9pm on the west. At least we are watching one of the best cards of the year free of charge. You say "This is why the UFC rules"???? The same UFC that charges sixty bucks to show two washed up old fighters go at it? The same UFC that fixed a match between Anderson Silva and Forrest Griffin? The same UFC that ripped on other promotions for allowing freakshows like Kmbo Slice to fight on their cards and then is now doing everything in their power to find a place for that same guy? Mark my words, the UFC is going to be the downfall of MMA. True that they certainly paved the way for expanding it's world poularity, but it is spinning out of control with the angry aerobics instructor at the helm. These are the same types of egos that brought down boxing.

UFC ppv is not $60. If you're paying $60 your cable company is ripping you off.
you disqualify any good points you might have by saying the "UFC is going to be the downfall of MMA." hahahaha.

Dave has a good point. People will start to watch the free shows more and more. UFC is becoming more about the money than it is the fighting. Besides that, Random Name, that was your only defense to his argument?

Dave, good points. I have made many similar comments and then I get called a UFC basher. I don't dislike the UFC. They fought for the sport and kept it going but they are not MMA. I'll give them credit for all that they did but they are not bigger than MMA. I have always said that having only 1 organization is not good. I am very happy to hear that Strikeforce, Sengoku, and Dream have continued to grow and put on some great shows. My two main issues with the UFC is that they are to much of a business and Dana. As far as the business, a few years ago they gave us about 3 or 4 free events (not counting Fight Nights) a year…I think we had 1 free one this year. They even gave us a free one on the night that the first Affliction took place…why? Not because they wanted to treat UFC fans but because of a pure business decision – to hurt Affliction. I understand the business part of it but common, now that there is no Affliction, no more free shows? As far as Dana. as much as he has helped to put them on the map by making some great decisions, he has hurt them in many ways. He is a media hog-nobody cares about him…we care about the fighters, not his bald ass. He needs to shut the fuck up and promote the UFC and it's fighters. That is it! he needs to stop worrying about other organizations, other fighters, and politics.

I think everyone has good points. The UFC is the cream of the crop. There's no doubt about that. An they keep growing. It's their business mentality that grew the sport from near bankrupcy to put MMA where it is today.
On the other hand, it's great that Strikeforce is putting decent competition into the mainstream and bringing good MMA to potential fans who might not get good exposure of the sport normallly.

"The UFC is spinning out of control" – WRONG: The UFC is more popular and more profitable then ever before, and Strikeforce is only on CBS tomorrow because of the UFC.
"The UFC will be the downfall of MMA" – WRONG: The UFC is the sole reason why YOU and most people on this site are fans of MMA. Don't kid yourselves look at any non-UFC and non-Fedor post and there aren't nearly as many comments on them. Most people simply care more about the UFC than any other organization. Whether you love to watch DREAM all day and night long is irrelevant. Most MMA fans will choose to watch a UFC fight over any other…in most cases. Of course this card tomorrow is awesome, but that's just one.
"UFC fixed a match between Forest and Silva" – WRONG: What evidence do you have, Dave, to make such an asinine comment and suggestion? Forest took a dive and ran from the cage and hurt his personal and professional reputation for WHAT reason? What evidence do you have of this? NONE.
What didn't I respond to every single point? Because any sane and normal person can plainly see that Dave is a complete moron and knows nothing about what he pretends to speak about.
