Well There only 3 men that will go down as Masters of MMA ever to live on this planet. Thats Fedor, Anderson and Lyoto. GSP got owned by Serra and has not demonited like these 3. He is a great athlete and great wrestler and great stamina. But he still doesnt have what these 3 have and thats the fighting Spirit

Got owned by Serra???? Man are you kidding??. Serra only won that fight because of a lucky shot IMO. But even if it wasn't a lucky shot why didn't Serra own him in the rematch instead of in his own words (got his ass kicked).

That dumb ass Refree Yves Lavigne has stopped about a dozen fights when they should have not been stopped. The last one was when When Kampman fought Paul Dahley he was on his feet and he stopped it. THIS IS ULTIMATE FIGHTING YOU DONT STOP FIGHTS FOR PUSSY ASS REASONS

jay with abother dumb comment how original… kampman was out on his feet just taking shots he coulda let it go on a little longer but kampman was just gunna take more unneeded damage. if ur implying that the serra/gsp 2 fight shouldnt have been stopped that's laughable serra took about a million knees and was just sitting there in the turtle position. if you arent intelligently defending urself the fight is gunna get stopped. thats why this is such a great sport and theres no deaths.

Also anderson has lost to a buncha lil japanese guys back in the day its not like he's undefeated. GSP has tooled the two people who beat him and they were both world champions. do u think GSP or Fedor would ever get subbed like chonan did to anderson? not in a million years. out of all the guys u mentioned anderson is the only one with a big hole in his game and thats his wrestling.

GSP got subbed By Matt Hughes. And it was only 5 or 6 knees. Matt Serra was not hurt. Anderson has evolved so has GSP But Anderson is still in another dimension

ya GSP got subbed by matt hughes the most dominant welter weight champion of all time when hughes was in his prime and gsp was winning up until that point. anderson got subbed by a tiny ryo chonan with a move that way hard to pull off. i think anderson is awesome and i dont know who should be considered better anderson or gsp but ur obvious favoratism shows when u discount andersons losses to mulitple nobodies and act like gsp's two loses to world champions should tarnish his career.

GSP can be knocked out again. What are the chances of Anderson being knocked out?? At this point I dont see who can beat Anderson In MMA. GSP also looks unbeatable. GSP does have a weakness. He is not mentally strong as Silva. Silva is comfortable any where the fight goes. He is not gun shy like GSP (after getting knocked out by serra) Its not that Anderson has holes in his game Its just that he is such a superior striker that his weakest point is his grappling.

i would say getting mounted by an out of shape travis lutter and taking unanswered shots almost getting the fight stopped is a hole bro. lutter would never put gsp in mount. if vitor got a lucky punch and hit anderson in the back of the head like serra did to gsp u better believe anderson would be out cold. anderson getting caught by vitor with that punch wouldnt be half the upset that serra was against gsp.

Gsp is the more well rounded fighter and fights anywhere the fight goes. he dominates people on the feet and on the ground just like fedor. while anderson has a great ground game now he doesnt decide where the fight takes place and i think that will cost him someday.

Anderson has an an amazing chin he has taken shots from Franklin and hendo and was unfazed. He has never been rocked ever. I bet you he can take Vitors ounch as well. And Vitor is not gonna knock out Anderson. I'm not on his nuts. But First it was Cote that had huge power in his right hand and than it was Leitus (that dumb ass frank mir said that was gonna beat Anderson) and than you guys were so confident that Forrest was a big man that walked around 240 and he was the man to beat silva right?? now we got Vitor that you guys are all cheering on. Taylor made for Silva he is gonna come in wild with his Quick powerful hands and silva Is gonna defend and dodge all of them and wear Vitor out into TKO

    October 15, 2009 at 2:51 pm

LOOK back for the millionth time NOBODY FUCKING THOUGHT FOREST WAS GUNNA BEAT ANDERSON. holyshit so many people have said that to you before and after the fight! people just wanted forrest to win because he was a nice guy nobody said he was going to. we gave him a chance but said numerous times hes a huge under dog for a reason.

and GSP has an amazing chin aswell… the problem is he didnt get hit in the chin he got hit in the back of the head by serra. and you can bet your ass if vitor hit anderson with that same punch in the back of the head anderson would go down. anyone would.

Dont bother, Jay is just going to say anderson silva would beat chuck norris and vitor and brock on the same fight because anderson is an alien, this guy is delusional.

No you guys criticiize Silva every time he fights. every time its Oy yeah he is bigger than silva, Or oy yeah he is a better wrestler, oy yeah he will submit silva. O yeah he has got a huge right hand and now oy yeah Vitor is gonna connect and knock him out. But nobody criticised GSP. I bet before the serra fight If anybody thought GSP was gonna go down that way. Nobody thought that and you guys have to agree.

just admitt u favor anderson over every other fighter lol its ok to have a favorite fighter but really GSP deserves to be ranked higher than anderson just look at the com GSP has beat compared to andersons.

"do u think GSP or Fedor would ever get subbed like chonan did to anderson?"

Well, to be fair I could say "do u think Anderson would owned on the feet like Serra did to GSP or Like Fedor was getting by Arlovski before he went for that stupid flying knee? Every1 has weaknesses. GSP and Fedor may have better ground skills than Silva but Silva's stand up look way more impressive than anybodies in MMA IMO. To each is own I guess. I get bored of GSP wrestling guys to the ground and wearing them out before he decides to stand with them. I liked the old GSP better.

Dane, you make a good argument about stiffer competition but lets see GSP move up to 185 and do what Silva did at 205. Let's also see him finish fights like Silva has… everybody with a brain knows he toyed with Cote and Leites and didn't take them seriously. You could tell from his interviews before those fights even. He probably didn't even train hard and he sure as shit didn't engage with them like he did Franklin, Hendo, Irvin and Griffin… all way better than Cote and Leites! People can't last 2 rounds with the guy when he's motivated to fight. GSP did dominate but he couldn't put away Alves or Fitch… even BJ's corner made him quit but he didn't get KO'd or submitted.

Also, if there's any argument about GSP avenging his loses which Silva has not then lets see those guys fight Silva now and see what would happen. lol

To be honest, I don't like GSP or Anderson. Jay, reallly. Stop saying people were picking Forrest to win that fight. Because I think about 90% of the people here including myself picked Silva to win. And I believe it will go the same when Silva fights Vitor. People picking Silva to win, but wanting Vitor to win.

Surprisingly, I happen to agree with you on one thing, Jay. I too think GSP is gun shy after the loss to Serra. No one LIKES to get hit, but I think GSP HATES getting hit. Thats why he takesdown everyone to avoid the danger of being KO'd, again. The old GSP would stand with anybody and do well. I think Silva's weakness is his wrestling. A lot of people have mounted him in the past. But to his credit he has found a way to get out of it. All that being said they're both really good fighters and I would really like to see them fight eachother at 185lbs. My boy Hendo has fought Big Nog twice in the past with a 35lbs weight difference. So GSP and Silva's weight difference should'nt be a issue.

Ok so Vitor is the under dog right. And 90% of the people here are going for silva right?

    October 16, 2009 at 12:53 am

Yeah IMO, Vitor is the underdog. And I don't know about everyone else here but I'm picking Silva to win. But I hope Vitor knocks him TFO.

  22. zack

    October 16, 2009 at 1:55 am

Righttt Jay…Vitor will definitely be considered the underdog in this fight. Not sure 90% of the people here will pick Anderson to win just because this isn't as good as matchup for him than Forrest was. But, I'm pretty sure most the people here will still be picking Anderson to win…I am.

lets see Vitor coudnt knock out a prime Chuck Lidell and thats when chuck was unstopable. And that was before Vitor's Sister got kidnapped. So no excuses. Anderson Striking is Far superior.
