GSP Out Of UFC 137 Fight With Carlos Condit Due To Injury

Bad news for UFC 137, UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre has been forced to withdraw from his title fight with Carlos Condit due a knee injury. Dana White breaks the news,

I just land in NYC and what do I always say!? I have to deal with bad shit everyday!! GSP is out with an injury!!!

UFC owner telling the Los Angeles Times the St. Pierre sprained his medial collateral ligament, it’s not torn. Expect GSP to return in Early 2012. GSP,

“Went straight from Tristar to the doctor this afternoon, very frustrated. Can’t wait to get back at it. Tks for all the support, means a lot.”

BJ Penn has always been saying that his fight with Nick Diaz was the true main event and now it is. Penn vs Diaz is the new main event, Condit will wait for GSP and his title shot.

There is a UFC 137 media conference call today, maybe we will get some more details.

I think Condit should have taken a fight anyway. Dana should have given him a pass, win or lose, to fight and then meet up with GSP early next year.

In the case where the MD is awarded (either as a first or higher doctorate) for previously published research, the candidate is usually required to be either a graduate or a full-time member of staff, of several years' standing of the university in question
