Jon Fitch Back In The UFC, Set To Fight At UFC 94

Thanks to the level headiness of UFC owner Lorenzo Fertitta, Jon Fitch in back in the UFC, according to MMARated. According to the report, Dana White and Fitch have yet talk since the drama broke 24 hours ago.

“Communication kind of broke down with Dana (White) so we talked with Lorenzo. (I) just got off the phone with him and we came to an agreement. We’re going to move ahead and I’ll be back in the UFC. We’re going to sign off on the video game and I’m back. It was never even about the agreement or the contract. It was the approach that we felt Dana was being a little bit hot-headed and was threatening us right off the bat. It didn’t seem like a professional way of doing things.”

Jon Fitch is set to take on Akihiro Gono at UFC 94 “St. Pierre vs Penn 2? on January 31 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Thats good news…. As great as the UFC is… it is only as good as its fighters! Fitch is still a top 5 WW in the world!

Dumping him would send out a pretty cold message to all UFC fighters as fitch has been a pretty loyal servant!

I think, behnd the scene's Dana White is one cold Ass Hole!

From the Radio interviews… One minute he's saying MMA is massive and growing exponentially… the next "it's not that big"… From a UK perspective is becomming very big indeed!… and the fighters (Particulary the top fighters) need to be rewarded!

Keith Jardine – 10K to fight Wandi = WTF!

I see Fitch signed off on the video game. So in the end Dana gets his way. Lorenzo just had to play the good cop for this to happen.

I think it would have been a huge mistake for the UFC had cooler heads not prevailed in resigning Fitch. I think the UFC would have suffured a huge negative backlash from fans and people in the industry.

Thankfully Dana is only the President and not the majority owner of UFC. That guy needs to learn to communicate with his fighters better than he has. He acts to much like a thug and a bully in his business dealings.

Then again not sure where the UFC would be without him.

After listening to his radio spot yesterday, I sort of feels like Dana is getting burned out. He needs a a break. As much as we all dog on him for his making this the Dana White show, it sort of is the Dana White show. I know I wouldn't be able to take the pressure. The sad part is, if we loose our temper and act like a jerk to our friends, kids, spouses, etc. in a few days we make up and a sorry is all that is needed. He looses it and in 4 minutes it's on the internet and radio. I am not taking his side, just an observation is all.

Fighters lose again; by re-signing after Dana treats you like a piece of rag-doll trash shows the typical brawny stature with pea size brain cells.

Dana drops the hammer and Fitch is the loyal nail. Eat the crap sandwich and like it Dana White style. This show of force should snap everyone else into line. Lifetime licensing for all!!!

This was not a smart move for Dana and he should be happy Lorenzo stepped in. If the UFC cut Fitch, who's lost one freakin fight, over a video game who's next? I'll tell ya who. Koscheck, Cain Valazquez and anyone associated with AKA. Dana was so pissed at the time he said that they could all go to Affliction and see how they liked it. Every fighter at AKA. Affliction should be drooling and seeing that all they have to do is apparently offer a bit of the pie to a fighter for a stupid video game and (some royalties) and it could open the flood gates, or at least force the UFC to compensate some of these guys. Smart move Lorenzo, keep a cool head and don't give the competition a chance to cash in. Cause if you won't give them any royalties then…….

Fitch will be a good fighter especially when he loses that wresting lay and pray bullshit. He is tough as hell and the Fertittas are smart to clean up this mess. I like Dana most of the time but he has his time of the month every now and then.
