I hope Kimbo does well…Kimbo is humble & I don't see were the hate is comming from…I have fate in Kimbo too..The first time I saw Kimbo fight was on tv….Seen the youtube stuff later….I hope he wins…If he does win he will drop down to 205 lb.

I give Kimbo credit for doing the show and seeing if he has what it takes. Still he has a long way to go and honestly he just will never be an MMA fighter he just too old and one dimentional no matter how good he looks. Petruzelli KHTFO and speaking of Seth he said that now that Kimbo is in the UFC…he wants a rematch with him, so i dont know what that means but it sounds like Kimbo made it but than again who knows but i would assume he would know more than we would.

Kimbo Slice is more then meets the eye. More then a streetfighter, more then a thug.
He has REALLY grown in my eyes. I think he will learn MMA good but ofc with his striking first. I actually cheer for him to win this. But the odds are bad.

I agree. I feel pretty bad for the other's on the team though. Rampage is going to deprive them of quality training due to the amount of attention he is going to give to Kimbo…

It's not that people necessarily hated Kimbo it was the fact that Elite XC tried to make him out to be a top MMA fighter when he is really a rookie. The annoucers, the promos… all that stuff.

Personally, I can't wait to see Kimbo fail. And he will.
Professionally, I'm glad Kimbo is on this season and I'm to see the ratings skyrocket because of it.

Kimbo is a guy that is always down to fight. He is a real fighter. I wish everyone had his attitude about fighting. He is a warrior no matter what people say about him. I will for sure root for him. And if you hate Kimbo it is probally b/c he acts gangster like Dane said b/c of all the hype he was given. Cant blame him for making money. Fuck all the haters.

I agree w/Oswald here. I don't hate Kimbo one bit but as a fairly intense MMA fan it seemed like a joke to me to be advertising Kimbo as some "Elite" MMA guy like EliteXC did. Having said that, I'm kind of pulling for him on TUF. I know fighters are supposed to be all tough and talk shit and what not but I like Kimbo's attitude. I imagine that Rampage is right when he says Rashad will try to put a wrestler or BJJ guy against him to try to get the fight to the ground.

Is it Kimbo's fault that he was made out to be a great MMA fighter? I don't have any faith in Kimbo's ability to do anything impressive in MMA at all. However, he does work hard, he's pretty humble, and seems like he's willing to put in the work. The man fought in backyards for pennies. Gotta at least respect that. He will fail because he's not multi-talented and doesn't have enough training time on the mat. He can't hang with a Jiu-Jistsu black belt, or a Muay Thai striker, or someone who's been a collegiate wrestling champion. But I'll now cheer for him, not because I except him to do well, but I because I'm warming up to him and impressed by his attitude and work ethic.
Just my two cents.

The problem is that kimbo is past his prime and his window of oppurtunity has passd by. Basically he is starting the MMA game too late. he is 35 and he is starting to learn how to really fight. Now if he was 25 and in the same situation than things would have been a litlle diffrent. Can Kimbo become wel rounded and still have the stamina and determination? we will find out for sure

jay, I completely agree.

Also most mma fighters start out witha good base like wrestling or jiu jit su. Kimbo base is street fighting which has no dicipline no technique and no experience

I see Kimbo as a type of fighter that will fight whomever is in front of him.
I wish Fedor was like that. Before everyone has a fit because of what i said. Just listen. I know Fedor fought some tough people and he is a great fighter, but he needs to come to the UFC. I am so tired of people saying he has nothing to prove.
Every champion needs to be hungry and always looking for new challenges. Sorry guys that is just how it is.
Every champion needs to be looking for new talent to fight and destroy.

Dana Tried everything in his power to get fedor in the ufc. The dude offered him 30 MILLION For LIKE A 6 FIGHT CONTRACT!!!! How in the world do you turn that down. His dumba ss manager is fuck off. Fedor should have shoved it up his ass.

that is crazy who is their right mind turns down a 30 million dollar contract for like 6 fights. That is insane. There is noway he got that kind of money in strike force.
When Fedor beats Rogers then what. Who else is there to fight?
Either Fedor is holding out for more money from Dana or he is afraid of coming over to the UFC. The reason I say this Cro Cop hasnt done the greatest over there neither has nogueira.
The ax murderer hasnt been doing that great in the UFC either.

Maybe its better that Fedor didnt sign with the UFC. Think about it sure the UFC' heavyweight division looks real good right now but many of them are newbies and have not been in wars like Fedor has. Maybe once Strikeforce fails Fedor will come to the UFC and he could fight more experienced fighters. I dont know about everyone else but id prefer to see fedor vs brock later in the future because by then brock will be a real veteran of mma and can actuallly give fedor a real fight. If Fedor came to the UFC right now he would destroy everyone, why not give the UFC heavyweights more time to improve their game and then bring Fedor. Its just the way I see it.

jake i see what you are saying

Exactly right this is what a lot of fans have said on this site. There are a few ufc nut huggers and Lesnar butt plugs that hate fedor no matter what he does. They root for him to lose for honestly no reason. He does nothing to be hated but he is. UFC HW division is unproven. The top fighter is 4-1. Carwin has fought 1 decent guy. Cro Cop is noy so hot these days. Velasquez looks like he has a bad chin and relativly no stand up. Kongo has a terrible ground game. Honestly Overeem would be top 3 in the ufc.He is fighting at his right weight and he is a beast.Barnett if he could stop taking roids is a top 5 and in many opinions top 3. Rogers would be undefeated if he was fighting in the ufc with fast kos. People get way to wrapped up in what organization someone is fighting in. A level competion is A level comp no matter if it is in a cage or a ring. The HW division is growing. 5 years from now the ufc will have almost all the best fighters in the hw division but until they sign the other top guys they dont have a stacked hw division. Also we dont know what Fedor was actually offered. Dont belive everything you hear.

because rampage lost he has to win both fights to keep control and he lost all ready so im pretty sure its rashads pick this week but i could be wrong.
September 22, 2009 at 8:15 am
I dont think Kimbo will fight this week. Rampage has pick and he says “I think there going to put one of there ju-jitsu or wrestling guys on him.” Why would rampage say that if he has pick?
