According to USAToday, Viacom, the parent company of MTV and SpikeTV has purchased a majority stake in Bellator Fighting Championship. Bjorn Rebney, President and CEO of Bellator, will remain in charge of the organization.
“[Viacom] bought a majority stake in Bellator Fighting Championships and will start airing the promotion’s bouts on Spike in 2013”
The deal will bring Bellator to a more wide audience of which MTV2 can’t currently provide.
This deal is good for MMA.
