Alistair Overeem Granted Conditional License, Fight With Brock Lesnar Still On [UFC 141]

Alistair Overeem

The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) today ruled that Alistair Overeem will still be licensed to fight Brock Lesnar on NYE after being slow to comply with the commissions request for a random drug test.

Timeline: Alistair Overeem was asked to provide a sample on November 17th. Overeem left from Las Vegas to Holland to oversee his mothers health, the very same day the out of completion test was requested. It was five+ days before a sample was taken in Holland and by his own doctor.

Overeem said under oath that he didn’t try to avoid testing and followed all instructions requested by the NSAC.

Overeem must take another test in Europe with in 72 hours and another one when he lands in Las Vegas for the fight. Also, he must provide 2 post-fight random tests in the next six months at his own expense, in order to comply with his fight license in the state of Nevada.

Brock Lesnar was also asked for a random sample by the NSAC and was given approval to have blood drawn at a local hospital since he lives out in the middle of nowhere, he passed.

Props: BloodStain for breaking the story.

Seems real fishy he hurried up and left the country when they asked for a sample.
