Pac Man…better coached, better trained. De La Hoya was a basket case for this fight. Rich, but soft. Obviously a shadow of his younger self.

DLH is way past his prime and now is just more about money. he fights these big fights in order to keep his name out there and generate millions. pac-man is ridiculously fast and his work ethic is remarkable. i would really really love to see pac-man vs. floyd mayweather. now that would be fight of the year. pac-man would shut down PBF. PBF only has superior defense, but pac-man has better speed.

i second everything derek said. i think pbf doesn't have the offensive damage capability that pac-man has and would lose. i didn't see the fight but i hear de la hoya looked terrible.

Man is Pac impressive. I kno oscar is way beyond his prime but for pac to be able to just punish De La Hoya every round was great. Pretty boy will only fight if they throw a ton of money his way. He made around 19 million in his fight with de la hoya and pac doesnt have the ppv sales that De la hoya has. But yeah a fight with pac and pbf needs to happen. It would be a very good fight.

Pac has some crazy speed and angles. He is like a tiny version of Roy Jones in his prime. I think De la Hoya is still a good fighter but if he can't compete with the best then I'm sure he's going to retire.

Oscar was not himself. His corner gave didn't tell him what he needed to do. He never fought smart and let Pacquiao fight his fight. Oscar could have easily won if he:

    1. Set the pace

    2. Use the double jab to throw off Pacman

    3. Be first and don't let pacman set up his combination.

    4. Tie up Pacquiao when he got close. He is to fast and needs to tie him up, which Oscar never did once.

    5. Keep pacman away with his reach (jab) and follow up with the straight right, left hook and right uppercut.

    6. Lead the straight right more often.

    7. Use his defense. He didn't move his head, legs or anything and let pacman bang on him like a sitting duck.

If Oscar faught smart and got off quickly, he could have taken control of the fight and eventually KO'ed Pacquiao.

For some reason, Oscar was not doing anything and letting Pacquiao run the fight from the beginning.

His heart also gave in and he should have fired this corner(Nacho). They gave him very poor advice. I was so embarrassed of Nacho not telling Oscar to get his act together. Angelo Dunde would have told Oscar that he is loosing and needs to kick the pacman's ass to win. That's what he told Sugar Ray against Thomas Hearns.

Nacho's advice was very novice. Telling him to go to the body when Pacman is beating him at the body. No Nacho, you need to get your head together, was he working for Abrum?

I hope that Oscar realizes that he gave the fight away and should have a rematch. I believe if he takes a look at what he did, he will be able to correct his mistakes and take it to the Pacman.

Another thing, Oscar should have never gone down to 147. Moving from 160 to 147 takes a toll on the body. I know from experience. I'm a former pro-boxer and that's the worst thing a fighter can do. It takes away everything, the legs, timing, endurance and power. Look what happen to Roy Jones after coming down from heavyweight. He was not himself on the first fight with Tarver.

Oscar should have taken this fight at 154. Let the pacman come up.

understand that DLH never was KOed or TKOed in his entire career until he fought bernard hopkins. he couldn't get up after a "soft" liver shot. and to have pacquiao just steam roll through DLH last night says a lot about both fighters — DLH should retire, and pac man needs a super mega fight with PBF. PBF is too cocky to want to lose or even accept the idea of losing with his 39-0 record. pac-man is just an amazing boxer at the age of 29. they really need to fight.

Tom: I don't know about shocking the world.

didn't everyone think DLH had only a small chance?

We (everyone at the bar) were all betting on how many rounds DLH would last, not who would win.

We need to see PBF vs Pac. Just what boxing needs to become talked about again. A great fight with great fighters in their prime. Oscar is no elite fighter these days. Retire. thanks for memories oscar.

PBF needs to come out of hiding. he is only like 31 or something. multi-millionaire already. hasn't really beaten a superstart yet. yes, he beat hatton, but hatton wasn't as big as joe calzaghe. if PBF destroys pac man, then i will admit that PBF is one of the greatest of all times. and the "clits"kos need to stop hugging all the HW belts. they needs to start fighting top contenders or top HWs that are hungry. david haye has been calling them out for more than a year now. check it out on youtube, where david haye even confronts wladimir clitscko and asks him why he is ducking him. rahman is past his prime. we need these clitskos to fight alexander povetkin or odlanier solis. real HW fighters.

Pacman was the underdog before this fight, but he showed to the world why is called the pound-for-pound king by the ring magazine. Though i still respect the the former olympic champ and 6-division champ….cheers to both fighters

next mega fight will be hatton, mayweather vs pacquiao….a rematch with marquez would be good too.

I was surprised how dominating Pac was. Big respect to him.

Joe "the former pro boxer"- You're a hater and need to get off Oscars jock. You saying," Oscar gave away this fight, or that he could have won easily or he could have taken control of the fight and eventually KO’ed Pacquiao" is so outrageous. I'd call it fantasy land.

De la hoya is a choker. He doesn't show up in big fights. He's beaten Felix Sturm(barely) Steve Forbes and the cigarette smoking Ricardo Mayorga in the last five years. Whoop-di-doo. But he's lost to Pacquiao, Mayweather, Hopkins and Mosely.

DLH lost because he didnt throw any punches. Pac looked troubled by DLHs early flurries even though they weren't getting through but he didn't persist with them. He looked old, weak and no heart or will.

Last 3 rounds I dont remember seeing DLH throw one punch and then he quit on his stool. What a disgrace!

manny pacquiao is a bad mother fucker, it would be nice to have a boxer of his caliber in the UFC against some of the best but that will never happen…oscar was once considered the best fighter in the world too but has slowly slipped downward….he has held 6 belts if im correct each in different weight classes

Oscar is and has always been an ok boxer, yes he has won some fights but when he has fought any descent fighter he has lost!(exept Julio Ceasar Chavez because he is a great boxer but lost because he truly was realy old) and he lost again tonite. I am surprised at how famous he has gotten with all those loses. There is no way he was going to beat Pac-Man because there is one thing that a truly great boxers like Pac-Man poses and that Oscar does not and that is HEART, although I do admit he is the greatest at one thing… and that one thing is Making money!!!! In the sport of boxing Oscar is the undesputed pound for pound money making machine champion of the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also like the way he is good to boxers and not rapes them like Don King did.
