Alistair Overeem is still under suspension and this is a nine month break handed down by the NSAC after he tested positive for high levels of testosterone for a fight earlier this year. He was supposed to fight UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos when he received the suspension. The suspension will end on December and he hopes to return to action as soon as he can but he does not want a warm up fight. He wants a title fight the least.

“I am the most tested athlete in the world right now.” Overeem mentions “And as you can see I am still 265, still heavyweight and still going strong.” He adds that you can ask any sparring partner that he has in the gym and they will surely tell you that he is “Still kicking ass.”

Overeem adds:” I can tell you something. I have not had time off since 2004.”

“I think for me, this time off is perfect. After this, I have another four years of full dedication and devotion. For me it doesn’t matter when I fight. I don’t need a warm up fight. I’m gonna leave that up to the gentlemen of the UFC to decide…if they want me to go for the title. I’m ready for that.”

About Junior Dos Santos: “he can talk all he wants. I know that he was happy that fight didn’t happen and he also knows that I’m the biggest threat out there. He know when he is gonna fight me, there is not escape from it.”

He mentions that he is going to lay low for now and fight whoever UFC puts in front of him. But when he is given the chance to fight Dos Santos, “He’s all mine.”

Alistair “Demolition Man” Overeem is just 32 years old and he already has 36 wins and 11 losses on his belt. He is from Amsterdam, Netherlands and he fights for the heavyweight division with an impressive 8 consecutive wins before he was placed on suspension earlier this year. He mostly fights under one round and in his latest fight against Brock Lesnar; he managed to TKO Lesnar with a kick to the body and several aggressive punches. He earned victory in just 2 minutes and 26 seconds in round 1. Surely every fan will await his return on the ring on December.
