In a recent interview with MMAWeekly Radio, UFC veteran Paul Buentelllo called out Kimbo Slice challanging him to a fight. Buentello holds wins over both of Kimbo’s opponents, Bo Cantrel and Tank Abbott.

People want to see it. I think everybody wants to see it. Me and Kimbo should lace up the gloves….Everybody wants to see it and I think it’s time. He’s fighting all the guys I’ve already knocked out and I’ve already exposed. He needs to get off that buffet line I put out there and come over to my Paul Buentello taco shop and see if we can get to work.

Everybody asks me ‘when are you going to fight Kimbo? You should fight that Kimbo guy….Just give him much respect, he’s been training and accomplished a lot in a year or so. He’s really putting his hands together, he’s really putting his game plan together….I give him much respect. He stepped up. He went from street fighting to MMA and everybody thought he couldn’t produce, but he’s doing it.

I give him much respect. He stepped up. He went from street fighting to MMA and everybody thought he couldn’t produce, but he’s doing it.

Paul Buentello holds a record of 23-10, with fights dating back to 1997.

One other rumor is that a possible fight between UFC legend Ken Shamrock and Kimbo Slice could be in the works.

it would be another step up in comp but not the fight i would be looking for. i would rather see him fight ken than paul.

They need to give him people who aren't way past their prime, put Kimbo in the ring with someone legit, not over the hill fighters that he'll steamroll.

I don't know what telent they have in Elitexc for the HW division but Ken and Paul seem like steps up for Kimbo. They are past their prime but both are still dangerous.

if paul beats him then youll know for sure what level his skills are at. i think kimbo has a better shot at winning a fight with ken.

If you think Ken Shamrock is still "The World's Most Dangerous Man" then somethings wrong with you. Ken Shamrock will most likely lose his next fight to Robert Berry and then may fight his little bro Frank after that and lose again! Ken Shamrock needs to retire and STAY retired! He is tarnishing his career. Paul "The Headhunter" Buentello would be a great stand up war for Kimbo Slice. These are the type of fights that Kimbo Slice needs to take to satisfy the fans who wait in great antisipation for that big KO. Slice is a stand and bang street certified knock out artist and thats why people love to watch this bad dude fight.

paul is mostly a stand up fighter we know kimbo can stand and bang ken even though a shell of his former self is still more well rounded than paul and we may actually see kimbo on the ground in that would answer more questions and give kimbo more experience than fighting paul.i am not sure if either of these guys should be his next fight but between the two i would rather it be ken. and i think both of them could possibly beat him.

Kimbo is going down soon enough. His problem is he has too much pride. He will probably fight the best fighters in MMA tomorrow if he could but will lose cuz he's not ready. His name will probably be forgotten this time next year if he decides to fight any reputable or non-washed up MMA fighters.

there aren't many total package heavyweights out there so i don't think kimbo will run out of fighters that he matches up well against…especially in EliteXC.
