The rumors are true, Rich “Ace” Franklin is training with Anderson Silva in LA. Silva took Franklin’s UFC middleweight title at UFC 64. Franklin is preparing for his UFC 99 fight with Wanderlei Silva.

Hell yeah this will help both of the fighter so much because They are both Super Tanelnt guys..Rich will get way better in the chin and i think Silva will just become a a lround better fighter just like rich..
May 7, 2009 at 6:10 am
agreed. i still honestly think that rich franklin is the 2nd most talented in that division… second to the Spider. the hendo-franklin fight was close, but i think rich is much better rounded with better grappling, BJJ, and striking than hendo. bisping is probably 3rd or 4th, along with hendo. silva will benefit a lot from franklin, like for example HOW TO FIGHT AND NOT BE A COWARD and run in fights. it will be a mutual relationship.

I'd give Hendo a slight edge over Franklin based off their fight and how they fought Silva but only a slight one!

I love this

fook yea this is gonna help franklin out big time………. anderson trained with wanderlia back in the day so he can give him big pointers.
May 7, 2009 at 12:44 pm
ya damn if only wandy had some pointers about anderson he could give to forrest… oh wait a sec….
May 7, 2009 at 5:26 pm
I like Rich but want Wanderlei to win for 2 reasons… he doesn't need another loss since he's won once in his last 5 and I'd like to see him fight Anderson. That's the only exciting fight for him at 185. Other then that I'd rather just see Anderson fight at 205 where people could actually give him some trouble.
May 7, 2009 at 5:36 pm
it is kinda sad watching wanderlei fight these days. It's like you can flick him in the temple and he's out.
May 8, 2009 at 4:41 pm
^^^ That's how I felt watching Chuck, same deal.
I don't want Rich or Wandy to lose, lol. I love Franklin but I also have a spot for Wandy since he always puts on such a great performance and loves his fans. Should be a great fight regardless.
May 8, 2009 at 6:00 pm
This fight could be nearly as good as the Chuck vs Wandy fight if you think about it. Prob won't but we can hope.
May 16, 2009 at 1:52 pm
forrest wont be a challenge for anderson at all has he has only decent boxing with a 3 yr olds power who would of been smashed had he of faced a healthy shogun
am so glad the overrated and overhyped liddell got smashed again, chuck beat good fighters and when i say fighters i mean grapplers cos the man was sh it scared wen h faces a fighter with similar power
May 16, 2009 at 4:32 pm
luke thomas ur an ignorant human being. Griffin isnt an easy fight for anyone. He's made a career of beating people he shouldnt. Winning the ultimate fighter, Beating shogun, and Taking Rampage's title. its gunna be a long night for anyone who takes him lightly.
Chuck has never been "scared" to face anyone in his career. he fights whoever the ufc throws at him and usually wins. the guy is old now get over it. everyone gets old. everyones chin goes away eventually. In his prime he dominated and ko'd overeem, beat belfort and was the only man to KO randy for a long time and he did it twice. the guy is way past his prime but would still end your world if u ever talked shit to his face. it iritates me to hear people talk shit about chuck now that he's been put into retirement. he's the only man to have 7 ko/tko's in a row in the ufc and was a great champion. He deserves his respect. You say chuck was scared to face good strikers? he went to japan while he was in the ufc to compete in the pride tournament how is he scared? Why dont u go get some mma knowledge before you come in here bashing people who have done more in a year of their life than you will ever do in your entire life.
May 16, 2009 at 9:41 pm
lol go watch the rampage liddell second fight staredown he was petrified.
are somewhat oblivious to dana and chucks friendship
tell me during his "prime" as you put it would he of beaton a prime wandy rua (lol a prime liddell rua match would be a joke and a decimation) hendo anderson
whats him going to pride got do due with him not being scared of solid strikers and why is it that ppl who cant think of some clever comeback resort to the typical did "more in a year of their life than you will ever do in your entire life".
May 22, 2009 at 2:40 am
yeah they call him the iceman because he doesnt get scared or nervous when fighting. u cant be a ufc champ and knock every 1 out and be a pussy. hes an old man of 40 now, hes slow and reactions aren't there any more hence why hes getting knocked out. i seen the rampage fight, he looked like he wanted to kill rampage not scared not sure what u was watching…
May 24, 2009 at 2:59 pm
Good job rich! if u cant beat him join him, then beat him lol two icons of the sport hands down
May 24, 2009 at 6:45 pm
if you think the reason lidell is losing is because he is all of the sudden scared and not because he's hitting 40 your dumb as shit plain and simple.
May 25, 2009 at 11:36 am
i never said he was losing because he was scared i said he was scared of rampage which is proven when you see not only their staredown but the difference in liddell vs rampage to liddell vs silva who has to be one of if not the most intimidating fighter in all of mma.
May 25, 2009 at 11:42 am
proven? how is it proven? how the fuck do you know his emotions? this shits stupid give it a rest. talk about facts not things that dont make any sense and you have nothing to base it on. who the hell cares what a fighter looks like when he walks to the ring it means nothing. he looked mean and determined comming out to fight shogun and he got knocked out so i dont know what the hell you're talking about.
May 26, 2009 at 2:20 am
well considering how shi t shogun looked in his previous fights no wonder he was determined and mean.
btw did you see the ambush put on shogun after the coleman fight by dana white realsing how horrid shogun fought and hoped that he would fight like that against his buddy chuck liddell
