According MMAWeekly, Pro Elite the parent company of EliteXC has finalized the acquisition of King of The Cage (KOTC). KOTC will now have the broadcasting backing of Pro Elite.

King of the Cage will promote events in conjunction with EliteXC, the live events division of ProElite, Inc. A large portion of what King of the Cage is expected to provide is the resources to bolster EliteXC’s ShoXC builder show that airs regularly on the Showtime premium channel.

Last week Cage Today reported ProElite announced it had acquired England based Cage Rage. ProElite is definitely on a tear to fill SHOWTIME with MMA Programing.

KOTC is a really good venue where I'm at in the Southwest. They havent really grown like they thought, they were suppost to challenge the UFC one day, but it never caught on mainstream. Now ProElite looks like they are making some good moves and this will definitely help the sport.
