Randy Couture Willing To Fight One More Time In The UFC?

randy couture lawsuit by the UFC

MMAJunkie is reporting that sources have confirmed, Randy “The Natural” Couture is considering a possible settlement with the UFC:

Multiple sources close to the fighter, speaking exclusively to MMAjunkie.com, today said that Couture is willing to fight once more for the UFC, possibly before the end of the year, as a potential resolution to his ongoing legal battles with the fight promotion.

This would be great for Randy, who could fight in the UFC later in the year then get ready to fight Fedor Emelianenko at Affliction 3, which is tentatively scheduled for late January or February of 2009.

Will the UFC go for it? I doubt it. Their strategy seems to be – tie up Randy in a contract dispute that could last a couple of years and he won’t be physically able to fight anymore.

Randy’s no spring chicken, he needs to get this settled with the UFC before he can’t physically fight at a top level…Cough….Cough….Shamrock.

if randy would have stayed in the ufc he could have finished his 2 fights that were left on the contract and he would be free already to fight fedor.

If he's willing to do one more fight the UFC should let him do that. The Fedor/Couture hype has deflated a lot and people are interested in seeing Fedor fight other heavyweights like Arlovski and Barnett. I would love to see Couture fight Nogiera.

My god, Randy and Lesnar would be horrible. I don't think I would want to watch that. I think that fight would completely go to Lesnar, sorry to say.
