Rashad Evans and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson Confirmed As The Ultimate Fighter 10 Coaches

According to FightersOnly, Quinton Jackson and Rashad Evens are the coaches of season 10 of The Ultimate Fighter realty show. This news puts out any rumors that Jackson’s next opponent, Lyoto Michida would serve as the second coach on TUF 10.

A source close to former champion Rashad Evans says that rumours he will be taking a coaching spot on TUF10 are true.

Rampage had already confirmed the news of his position on his official Twitter account.

Sorry Dragon fans, Michida will just have to wait his turn for the TUF spotlight.

I don't like this at all. I don't want to see rampage coach again, and how did evans deserve to be a coach after getting ktfo? So now it looks like machida will fight shogun at 104 and Shogun does not deserve a title shot now…and if evans somehow beats rampage, that lifts him to a rematch with Machida? None of this makes sense to me, but I will enjoy the smack that will be talked throughout the whole season.

i think the show is gonna be great with those 2. this whole talk about why they are doing this and shogun is retarded. you should know its alll about the show and the trash talk between the two. and i think everybody would love to see rampage and rashad go toe 2 toe. that will be a god fight rampage likes to get up close and bang and i think if he trys that on rashad he will be beat by speed. after his 1st loss i think rashad is going back and gonna train 10 times harder and be 10 times better. dont get me wrong i hate his attitude and would love to see page win.

So, uh, what happened to Rampage's title shot?

I suppose noboby wants to fight for the title anymore, must all FEAR THE DRAGON! lol

This show should be very fun to watch though, since it only ties up two of the many contenders in the LHW division, rather than tieing up a championship for 6 months.

From what I've read online, Rampage will still fight Machida for the belt. This season of TUF will not end with the two coaches fighting. They say Machida was probably passed over as a coach b/c he doesn't speak English very well and it would be difficult for his team to grasp everything with a translator. Also, they think less people will tune in if they have to read subtitles or listen to a translator. Supposedly Rampage and Machida will fight before TUF 10 aires on TV.

I like this idea. There will be some serious shit talking going on for sure which will make for good tv. I think Q still gets his title shot at Machida but I still want to see him knock Evans head off his shoulders. Rashad is a puke.

for the past 9 seasons of TUF, the two coaches always fight. i doubt TUF 10 will be a departure from that. rampage will not beat machida. machida is just too fast and too slick for the always predicable striking rampage. it'll most likely end in late KO or decision. frankly, the only person that i think can beat machida is anderson silva, but that fight is very unlikely. that's like asking dana white to fight lorenzo fertita. machida would KO evans again. i think bisping may have a chance against machida, but machida is quicker.

i agree this fight will happen and has to happen mabey ufc 102 late august. if it does not and shogun fights machida then its a case of rampage not wanting to fight machida. first he had to fight jardine which made no sense then he got injured and had to wait so the title shot is his and if this fight does not take place it was rampage not the ufc.

rampage may be ducking machida, i heard he picked rashad to fight next it was his choice to fight either machida or rashad and he picked rashad trying to say they have a fued witch they might but he could get the belt first and than fight rashad so it dosn't make sense to me, i am also hearing that it may be shogun stepping in to fight machida than.

If Rampage and Rashad don't fight next, then maybe we won't be able to see this fight happen anytime soon. I think it needs to happen as soon as possible. Shogun getting the title shot, wouldn't be that bad of an idea. TUF 10 should be very entertaining with Rampage and Rashad and will hype their fight big time.

I like this a lot. I think this fight will be awesome and someone is getting KO'd. Most likely Rashad. And then we get to see Shogun vs Machida. If shogun comes in like he was in the Pride days he could easily win this. If he comes in at all like he did in the Coleman fight he will get KO'd. I think both of these fights that will come out of this are just gonna put us a step closer to get an actual undisputed champ at 205. As of right now the belt still hasnt even been defended and im not about to call this the Machida era yet. Not in a stacked division like 205. NOT yet:)

i like rashad when he's not in the ring smiling after he gets hit. behind the cameras he seems like a cool dude. i was hoping rampage would want his title back but it looks like he wants to play for the cameras instead.

it would be cool to see what greg "yoda" jackson brings to the table if he coaches with rashad.

Maybe they are looking to do a USA vs Brazil theme with Machida. I don't know if that will be all that interesting. Plus the champ would have to coach based on common MMA fighting skills not his own skills. I really don't think you could teach someone to fight like Machida without a several years investment. Like I said before, while everyone else is playing checkers Machida is playing chess. That said, I would really like to watch it, his dad would be cool to watch if he could get him to coach.

As far a subtitle goes I don't care about them either, every day I get stuck talking to someone and wish they had subtitles scrolling in front of them.

Rashad and Rampage will make for some good TV. I am sure they understand that if they don't fight at the end, it would undermine the secondary theme of the show.
