Robbie Lawler vs. Lorenz Larkin on Middleweight Match
Surely, there’s been a tough fight that went on Strikforce’s main card involving Robbie Lawler and Lorenz Larkin. The latter made through the fight against Lawler that was dispatched easily throughout the game.
Round 1: Lawler vs. Larkin
The first round wasn’t any stretch for both fighters. Larkin starts with a leg kick but misses Lawler. Then the former stumble due to the latter’s right hook. Lawler continues to attack Larkin with different combos but stays up control with the fence. Recovering from the attacks of Lawler, Larkin throws Lawler to the ground then passes, dives in. Few combos and hits were thrown by Larkin. Lawler manages to stay up and hits back with a knee. Lawler further presses Larkin to the cage with the latter staying alert and throwing short hits. Neither has proved any offense. Fighting scores were for Larkin at 10-9.
Round 2: Lawler vs. Larkin
Starting the round was Larkin who stretches a kick to Lawler’s thigh. Larkin continues to kick and combos of knees against Lawler who forces him away to the fence just to keep through. Larkin fights off grabbing a guillotine with Lawler who even dropped a double-leg. Lawler gets a head kick after ducking down resulting to laceration on his forehead. Fighting scores were for Larkin at 10-9.
Round 3: Lawler vs. Larkin
Desperate to end the fight, Lawler pushes Larkin forward ending up on the fence and letting a double-leg off. Lawler lifts the right leg of Larkin connecting a combo. Larkin is determined still and shakes off the attack then refocuses while at the center of the Octagon. Last two minutes in this round and Lawler is seen with blood coming from his head. Larkin attacks Lawler with a right hook and kick combo. Different combinations were thrown over but still it ended with a unanimous decision in favor of Larkin (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).
