Shockfights founder Michael Alexander,

“Well, we felt it was a natural progression. Boxing begat wrestling, wrestling begat the MMA, and the next step in extreme fighting would be to put true warriors in a ring, against each other with three million volts of electricity charging out. Winner takes all.”

First XARM (Arm wrestling with MMA) now Shock Fights, MMA with tasers, when with the stupidity end.

Although, you have to love their poster for taking a shot a the UFC.

Shockfights is very stupid. This shouldn't even be compared to mma. This is a disgrace and takes away from the art form of mma.

WOW! I think I just lost 30 IQ points watching this video! How is this a "natural progression from MMA"? Since when does something out of a bad reality show justify any attention from true MMA fans? Unreal…..stupidity!

Where's Raiden and his fatality move?

I think the 'natural progression' to this would be putting the founder Michael Alexanders head on a spike.

i cant believe dana brought this guy in to the org

what the hell he is turning this in to a freak show

dana is the first to make fun of strikeforce or anyone else for guys like hershal walker or jose canseco but look at him he is no better

i give kimbo credit cus of TUF and he is good for PPV so he makes sense business wise though he will never be a great fighter he will beat a couple cans and lose to a couple cans

i would give James Toney Cain V in his first fight to welcome him to MMA and retire him at the same time

this is all Ray Mercers fault for his KO of Tim Sylvia

i also blame rap music, the internet, and video games

This is funny as shit…those guys had some decent boxing skill tho, admit that. But damn it's retarded, still all that electricity coming out of their hands looks cool as hell before they actually make contact and it's just some guy spazzing on the floor

ShockFights Volume Two will have a much higher quality…we filmed without electricity(beyond the stun guns) and in the middle of an area surrounded by occupying forces.

The pain and skill will be much higher as will the crispness of the video

    Stay Tuned…

BTW, We put years worth of GDP into the local economy for this…as opposed to taking advantage of folks…Shockfights.com saved lives…

    March 16, 2010 at 9:57 pm

So, you saved lives by putting GDP into the local economy? Good for you….. But now you repay the locals with a freak show of a "sport" by inflicting more pain then what is needed? Shit, why don't you just let them fight for real, with no lame ass gimmick and bring it back to the old days of same-day multi fight tournaments?

So what's going to happen when you have a "fighter" die? It's on your hands, and if you won't feel guitly about it, you sir are a sick fuck!

I am shocked you would even attempt to promote this on a MMA website! This garbage has nothing to do with the art of combat. I live in the UK, i also work in the UKMMA scene. I am constantly defending the honour of MMA to the mainstream uk media (we get very little exposure and are not really recognised as a sport), this crap does not help! If that is really the promoter in the above post: Please keep this shit in the country that hosted the show. I, like a lot of other people in the world, have worked too long and too hard to have idiots like you promoting some insane, violent garbage and passing it off as a 'natural progression' to a pure, respectful, honourable sport. There is no honour in this, people are going to die! What the fuck is entertaining about that? And to make it worse you glorify the fact it's illegal and possibly fatal!

I agree Luke it has nothing to do with MMA,but calm down man for you have a heart attack, then all dat hard work you have done will be for nothing. To be sure it want kill you,I've seen the law stun old ladys and they live. This shit is stupid and should'nt be on this site, but people love to watch shit like this and get a good laugh. THE WHOLE WORLD IS GOING TO HELL IN A HAND BASKET, MIGHT AS WELL ENJOY IT!

I dont think any MMA fan will enjoy this! And i dont think the police repeatedly punch an obscene amount of volts into old ladys. Keep this on youtube, well i suppose i am safe in the knowledge that no commission will sanction this in the USA. We dont have a MMA governing body yet, (although it is gonna happen eventually) but i dont think it could possibly pass simple uk health and safety regulation.
