Diaz is known for his chin but I learned he should be known for his recovery. He took big shots by Daley and still came back to finish. Respect to Diaz.

Good main fight, lotsa back and forth.

The Mousasi Jardine fight kinda sucked.

    Aoki did what Aoki does.

Melendez has some great boxing for sure.

I thought Mousasi did enough to win the fight, sure he had a point taken away in the first round and Jardine had 3 or 4 take downs but he didnt do anything with them. Mousasi out struke him popped back up from take downs when ever he wanted to and did more damage once they were on the ground even from his back. should have been 29-27 across the board. Other then that GM looked crazy good in his fight and I think he either needs to take on Eddie Alvarez or the super fight with a UFC guy needs to take place to unify the belt after ofcourse Pettis gets his chance to unify the belt. Three 155lb champs that need to unify into one by 2012 I say.

I still think Diaz needs to fight guys like fitch, koshcheck before he gets in GSP's face

I had the Mousasi fight scored as a draw as well. First round went to Jardine because the striking was relatively even, but jardine scored with takedowns (even if he did nothing with em it still shows superior control of the fight). So with the first round , imo, being a 10-8 for Jardine, and the next 2 rounds being 10-9 for Mousasi, the draw seems like the right decision.

Anyone else nervous to see Cecil Peoples ref?

Yeah, I was very surprised to Cecil out there. WTF. He has no business even selling popcorn at MMA events. Diaz looked good-good chin and recovery. Melendez looked good. His forarms/elbows were killer. Aoki did OK but I never really heard of his opponent. IMO, Mousasi should have won that fight. He definitely won the last two rounds. I gave him the first round as well. Matches ending in a tie seem to be in fashion recently. I would like for the UFC and Strikeforce to somewhat remain separate and operate independently, but I just we can see unified matches. Also, when someone gets hurt and can't fight in an upcomming match, it would great if the they can also consider finding a replacement in the org. Let's say Paul Daley would have been injured 3 weeks before the fight with Diaz, it would have been cool to see Thiago Pitbull Alves, Koz (he is probably still recovering and not able to), Condit, Dan Hardy…one of those guys to step in and fight Diaz. it is a bigger pool of fighters.
