That was an amazing event. Thomson vs Melendez was the fight of the year in my opinion.

1 of the best all round cards i have seen in my life. I predict big things for Strikeforce (i just hope they last longer than Affliction and Elite XC).

great event for sure. thomson and melendez brought it for all five rounds. cung had some bad ass strikes and scott smith did what he does best, get his ass kicked and then putting off a last minute win. smith is tough. cung still looks like a fish out of water on the ground.

It was a great night of MMA. This is exactly the kind of night that would not be possible if the UFC was the only organization out there. I watched the Strikeforce event and the watched the WEC replay. It was a great night and there was some good fights on both shows. The Strikeforce event was really good. King Mo continues to look good. Yes he is still very raw and inexpereinced but he is learning. Jacare looked AWESOME. Lindland probably needs to give it up before he really gets hurt. He was almost seriously hurt by Belfort and now he was choked out, almost put to sleep…he had a great career but it is time for him to run for office like he considered or just teach. Jacare is is going to kill Shields. I like Shields ground game but he has absolutely no stand-up game and you can't do that. The Melendez and Thompson fight was good enough to be fight of the year. To be honest, I was not thrilled about the Cung Le fight being the main attraction. Why wasn't the title match between Melendez and Thompson the title match? Instead they put in this movie star against bar brawler as title match? I was disapointed. I was very happy to see Cung get his ass knocked out because the reality is that he is no different than Shields, in that he is a one trick pony, only with him, it is all stand-up. He was wowing the crowd for 2 1/2 rounds but the reality is that Jacare, Shields, or anyone else with a ground game would have taken him down and submitted him in the first round. His spin kicks look good and honestly, I am sure that hurt if they land but a ground guy would not have gotten hit like Smith did, with so many kicks. He is not an MMA fighter.

Yeah but cung lee will but asses on seats. Scott smith just showed how much heart he got and he hits really hard, good for him to win like that coming off a couple of losses. Yeah im not a fan of shields, hendo is going to knock his ass out. i cant see anybody at 185 or 205 beating hendo, hendo wins his next two fights with the belt, fedor wins his next fight i can easily see a hendo vs fedor fight whatever the weight im sure hendo would agree for the right fee

arsehole you are wrong….Hendo beatgs Mousasi. How has Mousasi beat with the wrestling pedigree Hendo has?? Also, he sure the feck won't KO Hendo either.

If Mousasi ad=nd Hendo go at it, I like Mousasi. Hendo will go down as one of the best ever and he still is an incredibly strong fighter that always shows up but he is on the downside of his career. I see him beating Shields but I don't see him beating Mousasi.

I love Hendo, but Mousasi is the real deal. I think those of you who think Hendo would beat Mousasi may just need to watch more of his fights. Mousasi is on a roll and has taken down some very good fighters along the way with relative ease – Jacare, Babalu, Manhoef, Sokodjou, etc.. Honestly, I think after he beats Henderson, people will finally start to recognize Mousasi as one of the pound for pound best.

hendos on the downside of his career? im not a big hendo fan but in his last fight he looked really good, however old he is he still fights like he's in his 20s, hendo is going to beat shields, and will beat mousasi if the fight comes along.

Dave, you have way too much belief in Mousasi and he has a ways to go before being considered p4p best! lol Don't kid yourself there. Who has he beat really? Babalu and Sokoudjou… wow! There's a reason they got cut from the UFC. Lets see him beat Rampage, Shogun, Machida, Rashad, Anderson before we start tuting his horn alright… Strikeforce hardly has any top 205ers.

mousasi hasnt given us any reason yet to think he's not the real deal. we know henderson is the real deal. that fight would be fireworks for sure.
