Light heavyweights will battle it off on August 18 at Strikeforce “Rousey vs. Kaufman”. Ovince St. Preux and T.J Cook will battle it off as they prepare the ring for the bantamweight title for women.
Strikeforce “Rousey vs. Kaufman” is a title bout that will pit reigning bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey and former bantamweight holder Sarah Kaufman. This once in a lifetime event is set on August 18 at the Valley View Casino in San Diego.
Amazing talent and expert skill is what this latest Strikeforce bout is all about. Rousey, 25 has never allowed an opponent to even escape the bells of the first round. She is a 2008 Olympic judo bronze medalist to her score card; she has submitted all five opponents via ambar and has recently beat Miesha Tate to get the bantamweight title on March 3 in Columbus, Ohio.
On the other hand or the other side of the ring is Kaufman who wishes to relinquish the title that she lost to Marloes Coenen nearly 21 months ago. Take note that this is the only loss that she has ever had in her amazing career. This 26-yeqar old Canadian has won three wins ever since she lost the title belt; she defeated Megumi Yabushita and Liz Carmouche last year as well as fellow Canadian Alexis Davis in 2012.
This Strikeforce event will surely be a crowd-drawer with Ovince St. Preux and T.J Cook leading the show. Ovince St. Preux has 11 wins, 5 losses and 0 draws in his score card and T.J. Cook with 12 wins, 4 losses and 0 draws in his career. They would make a great starting bout to prepare fans and fellow competitors for the bantamweight title fight of the year.
