It’s a battle of the bantamweights as Michael “Mayday” McDonald fights Renan Pegado Barao at the Wembley Arena, London, England, United Kingdom tomorrow, February 16, 2013. Bantamweight fans will surely get an eyeful of impressive displays of skills and talents as the two fight in front of a roaring English crowd.

Michael McDonald is just 22 years young and holds a spectacular 15 win and 1 loss professional MMA career. This fighter from Modesto, California has been consistently winning event after event since 2009. Winning over Barao will be Mayday’s 10th consecutive win since he 2009 when he won an impressive match over Carlos Garces at the Tachi Palace Fights 1 in October 2009, Garces left the right after a TKO in just 2 minutes of the first round. Starting at UFC was very easy for McDonald; he was able to beat tough fighters like Alex Soto, Chris Cariaso, Edwin Figueroa and Miguel Torres who he defeated in April 2012 at UFC 145 Jones versus Evans via KO in just 3 minutes and 18 seconds of round 1.

His opponent is Renan “Barao” Pegado also a superb bantamweight at just 25 years of age. He has a remarkable 29 win, 1 loss and 1 no contest professional career since he started in 2005. This man from Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil has been undefeated since May 2005 save his first ever loss during his first professional bout against Joao Paulo Rodrigues de Souza at Heat FC 3- Metamorphosis in April 2005 via unanimous decision.
