According to Heavy, former UFC champion Tim Sylvia is rumored to face Brett Rogers on the DREAM New Years Eve event in Japan.
Sources close to the negotiations on Wednesday confirmed the fight booking to Heavy.com. The fight has not yet been announced by Dream.
One major road block in making the fight is Rogers is currently serving a 60 days sentence for pleading guilty to Domestic assault on his wife.
Rogers was given a 60-day jail sentence, but with time already served and an expected early release after two-thirds of his term, Rogers will be out by Dec. 13. Rogers’ attorney asked for his jail time to be delayed until after his fight, but the judge denied that request.
