Tito Ortiz is tired of Josh Koscheck’s trash talking. What is it that gets under his skin, the bleached hair? former wrestler? outspoken? took a beating by the champion?

I like to see Tito kick his ass just because he can. Josh is a good self promoter. Has no tack as far interviews with it but he sells tickets, yes

Kos is way out of Tito's leauge, 8-9 years ago Tito would have crushed him, but he is way over the hill, and frankly when your record is in utter shambles, you don't get to be picky with who you fight. Tito's rant sounded like he wants to avoid mixing it up with Kos.
December 24, 2010 at 11:08 am
well would they fight at 185? even if this nonsense did happen? just another douchebag fight between two idiots…kinda like diaz mayhem
December 24, 2010 at 12:27 pm
well that reality is we are not 8 or 9 years back and Tito never evolved did he?

CobraClutch = the only reason Tito would have beat him 8 or 9 years ago is because Koz was not a professional MMA fighter yet. His pro debut was in 2006 which is very close to the year where Tito had his last win (2006). If you look at Tito's opponents, he has only beaten 2 quality fighter – Griffin and Belfort. I am not counting Wandy because when he beat Wandy, Wandy wasn't Wandy yet. I realize that you can only fight who they put in front of you so there is no shame in beating average or bad fighters. The problem is he can't beat anyone that is any good. This is just another attempt of his to keep in the limelight and appear to be revelant…and possibly market a fight.

I disagree, Tito Ortiz was a Champion because he had a ferociousness in the ring that I've not seen since, and then he lost it. Just as Wandy lost it and Cro Cop, and Belfort, etc. May be its something that has to do with youth, I don't know.
What I do know is that the young Champion Ortiz would have savagely beaten Kos. I think Kos is a great fighter, who has improved in his skill set since his TUF debut in huge strides, but he never came close to having that savagery that we see in select fighters over the years. Ortiz was once great, but no longer.
December 25, 2010 at 5:08 am
I know what your talking about.
In my opinion, Wandy was the best of the best when he was fighting in Pride, it was like he was so full of energy and yes…savage, a good term. Who knows why it gets lost, but those fighters just are not the same.
Obviously CC was comparing Ortiz to Kos by age, not by time line. It's like saying, who would win in a fight?
Rocky Marciano or Mike Tyson?
December 25, 2010 at 5:39 am
Yes Tito was great with his ground and pound and at the time the sport was not evolved as it is today. Tito was good back then because it wasnt at a high level and evolved. These days everybody so good at wrestling, BJJ, Sriking. Tito didnt even have one succesful take down against hamill did he?
December 25, 2010 at 1:48 pm
I meant the first part as joke but I guess CC only understands jokes when you a next to it.
Ferociousness? Savage? They currently both have 15 wins. Tito has won 5 by decision and Koz has won 6 by decision. While many people accuse Koz of not being able to finish anyone and of being a boring fighter, he has only one more decison than the human animal with killer ground and pound. If they were both fighting in their prime Koz beat him because his wrestling is 10 times better than Tito's ever was.
December 25, 2010 at 3:16 pm
10 times better?
How do you figure?
Also, your joke was very funny Bear. Kudos.
December 27, 2010 at 2:29 am
Tray- thanks for the kudos on the joke. Also thanks for your outstanding point on why Koz's wrestling is not better. You really proved me wrong. Thanks for your input.
Tito has not been able able to beat any of the good wrestlers that her has fought – Hamill, Evans, or Couture. He also has was not really able to take down many of the good stand-up fighters that he has fought- Lidelle, Machida….so does him taking down Shamrock, Bohlander or Mezger make him the king of wrestling and GNP? Being able to down guys that should have been retired or mediocre, lighter fighters does not make u a good wrestler.
Go ahead an debate me. I like debates but opposing my thoughts with no thoughts of your own is pretty stupid.
December 27, 2010 at 3:16 am
Let's go over my message again Bear, eause either you did not read it or you are retarded.
"10 times better?"
"How do you figure?"
This is what is called a question, you can tell from the question mark at the end of the sentence. If you'd like to answer it, feel free. Do not make lame statements about different opponents they have faced, it is not a comparison.
Also, I was being sarcastic about your joke. It was not funny, but Kudos anyway for your continuing among the dumbest comments on Cage Today.
December 27, 2010 at 3:38 am
I think Kos has better wrestling skills than Ortiz. I would not state that they are twice as good, but certainly better. Ortiz had better Ground and Pound.
December 27, 2010 at 4:02 am
Ten times better?
No way. We are talking about Josh Koscheck here right?
I think his wrestling skills are better than an old guy like Ortiz, but Ten Times better is either a poorly thought out boast or I don't know. It's hard to compare two guys from different classes that have not fought the same fighters. Josh fights in a much better day and age where everyone knows the basics, where Ortiz generation did not.
December 27, 2010 at 4:39 am
Tray…I understood the question but I did not think that this was interview. Put up your thoughts. For someone that cannot post his own thoughts and is calling someone else retarded..now that is retarded.
I don't see anything lame about the facts that I brought up. if you can't back your ignorant statements up with facts then go ahead with stucking to "lame", "retarde", and "dumbest comments on Cage Today"…all of these are really making your point.
Staying on the retarded topic, using "10 times" better is a figure of speech. Of course you can't mesure how much better someone is than someone else. But hey, at least I was able to explain that to you stupid ass.
December 27, 2010 at 4:44 am
OZ and DJS…thanks for your posting YOUR THOUGHTS on this…agree or disagree that is point here…but idiots just posting to posts are just a wast of time.
DJS- the last sentence could also be why Koz is a better wrestler because if he is still able to take down fighters in an age when everyone knows the basics versus Tito being able to take down fighters when fighters where for the most part specialized, then that should say more about Koz ability to take guys down now versus what Tito did before. Bit it is hard to compare eras.
