Travis Lutter Doesn’t Make Weight!

travis lutter
UFC 67 Weigh-ins. Travis Lutter can’t make 185lb. After two unsuccessful attempts Lutter ends up weighing 186.5lbs. How armature is it when you are getting a title fight, to not make weight! Now instead of a five round title fight, it will now be a three round fight with Silva retaining the UFC middleweight title. In addition Travis Lutter loses 10% of his purse with 5% going to Anderson Silva and 5% going to the Nevada State Athletic Commission. This UFC officially has no title contentions on the line. Bad for fans and bad for the UFC.

What a dumb ass! Thats the difference between a world class fighter and a neighborhood hero. I didn't think it was going to be much of a fight but this just makes it even worse…an exhibition, who wants to watch that.

Found out he only lost 1/2 lb. in those two hours. I've lost over 4 in two hours before and I'm not even a professional fighter!!

I would have amputated fingers to make weight for this shot at the title. Did you see Dana whites face when he realized Travis didn't make weight. That 1.5lbs is going to cost Lutter a lot more then the 10% of his purse.
