According to MMAWeekly, the newly formed Affliction Entertainment named Trump Vice President Michael D. Cohen, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Affliction Entertainment.

“I’m extremely honored to serve as COO for Affliction Entertainment…MMA is the fastest growing sport in the world and I’ve been a tremendous fan for years. I can assure everyone — fans watching on pay-per-view and those in attendance from all over the world — that our upcoming pay-per-view show will be the greatest MMA night ever. I’m nearly speechless knowing Mr. Trump and Affliction have the trust in me for an event that features the greatest assembly of MMA fighters for one show in MMA history. This is like having Ali, Frazier, Tyson, Holyfield and other top heavyweights all on the same boxing card. It’s unprecedented and will revolutionize the way MMA fans view this sport.”

“Affliction Banned” is set to debut July 19th from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Headlining the card is top heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko taking on former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia.

wow bully u got some upsets there, i don't see rizzo winning even though he knock out josh before, rothwell is alot like tim only a better hands and faster but with less power i could see him winning but i will stick with aa and i guess paul could knock out aleksander but i see it the other way with paul getting knocked out.

I'm looking forward to seeing Fedor vs. Sylvia. Fedor hasn't face a top competitor in a while and I think Tim is much better than people realize (I think its unfair he's critisized for boring fights, he uses his physical stature to his advantage like Brock Lesnar and it's up to the opponent to prove that they can overcome that). I think this fight will tell us a lot about what stage Fedor is at in his career and where Sylvia stands, remember he was completely dominating Nog for two rounds with very effective striking and showing good take down defense until he got caught in the end.

i don't think tim will win but i do think he has a chance and is a top 5 h.w.

Neither do I Roy, I believe Fedor's skills have not diminshed due to lack of proper opponents but I do believe Tim will cause him some problems. I know he beat Hong- Man Choi in easy fashion but he was clearly not as talented as Sylvia and lacked in experience. It will be interesting to see Fedor's strategy against Tim, I suggest closing the distance negating Tim's reac advantage and either dirty box with him or try and take him down…should be a good fight

Tim might shock the worl.. Tim is going to use the Jab and keep fedor away and hit isnt easy to take down..

I agree, Tims chances for winning are the best right now.

Fedor hasn't fought anyone that big and good in a few years and ring rust plus the cage if they fight in one will be an advantage for bigTim. If Tim fights like he did against Minotaur I could see Fedor getting tested. But Fedor is no fool I think he will to try to close the distance right from the start and get a takedown someway.

Fedor submission 2nd round. I am rooting for Tim just cause hes the underdog and fighting Fedor is scary deal.

I'm going to say the same thing Tom did…WOW. They are not easing their way into the MMA business, Affliction is blowing the door off its hinges. I would pay to see even some of those preliminary matches. I can't wait for this one.

I don't think Fedor has a weak chin so I don't see Tim knocking him out. I can see Tim getting the better of the clinch because of his size. But other than that I am expecting Fedor to get the win.

Fedor fight will not go past the 1st round. Tim will not even make this a match. This will be like the old mike tyson matches dont blink or your going to miss the k/o

this will be the first true test to fedor in a long time. with that said fedor just has that special something where he always finds a way to win no matter how stacked the odds are against him. its gunna eb a great feeling for the person who actually beats him but i dont think nor do i really want sylvia to be that person.

I guess fighting a 460 pound giant is not a test. I dont care a damn about if the giant had the skills of a top 10 fighter because to be honest not a lot of the fighters that are top 10 heavyweights would fight him. I mean Fedor beat a guy that was humongous and nobody thinks its a big deal because he is so good. Choi would kill alot of the top fighters just by overwhelming him with his power n size. Fedor is simply the most well rounded fighter in MMA history and will likely go down as the best ever. He can ko u on the feet or he can always take u down or drop u with a shot and get an armbar. It is basicvally picking your poison wth Fedor. Sylvia is going to get murdered.Armbar 1st round after fedor hurts him with a right hand.

I am rooting for belfort to get back to his former self. The Phenom was one of the greats of the tito ortiz reign. Late 90' ealry 2000's. He was one of my favorite fighters and hopefully he has moved on from the bullshit that has happened in his life to get himself mentally ready. And we will rally get to see if rothwell is all that the IFL made him out to be LOL
