Who saw Wilks beating Demarques, nobody! Sick knees. Great isolation of Johnson's arm to sink in the choke.

Yeah, he got his ass kicked in the first round but he clearly won the other 2.

clay and diego was great. Rematch!!!

    June 20, 2009 at 2:42 pm

i would have flipped out if diego lost that fight he dominated round one it should have been 10-8 and round two clay got a takedown then tooke vicious elbows. diego caused way more damage from his back than clay did while he was on top. round three coudl ahve gone either way.

TOM: Dana was saying after the anderson forrest match he needs to keep anderson challenged at 185 and he thinks he'd be challenged by Vitor.

so I guess Dana is courting Vitor now.

  12. Mike

    June 20, 2009 at 4:27 pm

Vitor is a good fighter and stands a great chance against Anderson but i think the person to beat him is mousasi.

i was hoping Andre would beat pearson but alas it wasn't his day.

not at all surprised Wilks beat demarques in fact extremely glad of it. Wilks for me beat the favourite to win the show before the show had started (that being Che Mills)

Diego was definitely the better fighter and striker, but Clay has tremendous heart and gave Diego all he wanted and then some. I'm officially a Clay Guida fan now after that fight.

    Round 1: Diego 10-8

    Round 2: Guida 10-9

Round 3: Diego 10-9 (because of the submission attempts, even though Guida was on top half the round, since it's a 10 point must scoring, someone HAS to get the 10, but it really should be a 9-9 round, IMO)

In my opinion, scoring-wise, it was Diego 29-Guida 27

Fight of the night, for sure. WOW!

So happy Diaz lost. What a dick. Wouldn't even tap gloves.

  15. Ross

    June 20, 2009 at 11:55 pm

i actually scored it as a draw. I had Diego win the first 10-8 and thought Guida won the second and edged the third 10-9. so that would have it 28-28. but i wasn't disappointed Diego won cause he showed great stand-up skills. As a neutral i just fought it was an awesome fight, how on earth did Guida get up from that head kick ill never know.

Chris Lytle fight was good too and WOO HOO the Brits won. Wilks looked very impressive everywhere the fight went and just had too much skills for Demarques.

now Bisping just needs to beat Hendo ;). Im rutting for Bisping put think hendo might win through out wrestling him. Either way hope its a good fight

jason dent should goto 145 and did anyone know Jason dent has fought 2 times in the UFC before tonight..

he fought Roger Huerta and Tibau he lost Desions

  18. Jay

    June 21, 2009 at 4:48 am

Vitor is NOT going to beat anderson. Vitor in his young prime couldnt beat sorry ass chuck. Tito out fitted him. Vitor does not have the mental game or the dicipine to beat anderson. He gets frustated after landing 30 punches and his cardio is still a question. after the tito fight he had to go to the hospital for over exhuastion

  19. dane drebin

    June 21, 2009 at 6:12 am

a lot of people dont know this but when vitor started losing it was during a time when his sister was kidnapped, held for ransom and then murdered. anyone wouldnt focus on their training at a time like that. dont ever under estimate vitor he has the hands to ebat anyone in the blink of an eye. he has more than a punchers chance.

  20. derek

    June 21, 2009 at 6:48 am

oh please. vitor is now off the roids. there is no way he will back in tip top form. anderson is probably on the decline from his prime… due to lack of competition… but he is very dangerous. he will KO vitor no problem. only person that can beat anderson silva is FEDOR….. i'm glad nick diaz lost. he is such as douche. he always talk about respect, but he's the one that is always disrespecting and how people put the "MUG" on him…. clay vs sanchez was great. dana better not cut clay, bc guida has a fighter's heart and he showed that he can hang with the best. roger huerta needs to come back to the UFC. he lost to kenflo, but florian is much improved after TUF. diego needs a shot at BJ. it's been way overdue.

  21. Cobra Clutch

    June 21, 2009 at 7:50 am

I thought we finally did it, but no…derek had to make the Fedor mention, didn''t you? Fedor isn't going to fight Silva, or Machida, or Lesnar. Get off his nuts!!!

After Mir loses to Lesnar, he'll go to Affliction (if they're still around) or Strikeforce and fight Fedor and get tapped out. Fedor is NOT coming to the UFC.

    Please, people…get off his nuts.

  22. STEVEO

    June 21, 2009 at 7:54 am

IMO diego absolutely does not deserve a shot at b.j. at this point. He gave everything f'n thing he had to guida and he COULD NOT finish him. Guida is a good fighter based on stamina and good wrestling other than that in about every area hes mediocre at best. BJ (who I despise and think a tool) wouldn't even take a round to finish sanchez. hes not gonna be able to go in and throw wildly like he did with guida BJ would pick him apart with punches. I am a big florian fan and honestly he isnt in BJs league and sanchez I still dont think would last with kenny. and ZUFFA please stop showing that retard walking to the ring screaming yes. WTF???

  23. tom

    June 21, 2009 at 9:11 am

i would like to see Melvin vs Fisher now and Nightmare should fight Sherk or The guy that beat sehrk then the win should fight for the belt…

  24. derek

    June 21, 2009 at 9:25 am

BJ is overrated. Who has he beat? The only fighter I can think of was Matt Hughes, when Matt was in his prime. Other than that, BJ has lost to Llyota Machida, GSP twice and Matt Hughes in the rematch…. when Matt was past his prime. The only thing BJ got going for him is his flexibility and PAST BJJ accomplishments…. Getting back on topic, Diego does everything well… not superior, but well. His wrestling is good, striking is much improved, and submissions are great. He does have a crappy guard, but it's hard to improve the bottom guard. I'll admit that Diego is no GSP. GSP has zero background in wrestling, but because he trains hard, he outwrestled the best wrestlers. However, Diego >> BJ penn in my opinion. Come on, BJ nut huggers… what is your response

  25. derek

    June 21, 2009 at 9:25 am

Oh, I think Florian > BJ.

Ken flow will walk throw Bj

  27. Jay

    June 21, 2009 at 12:05 pm

its really weird. BJ used to be better like 5 or 6 years ago. His stand up was very effective his ground was much smoother. I guessed BJ thought he didn' need to focus and train. and thought that raw talent was all he needed. but that cost him a lot. I hope he takes fighting and training really serious because his window of oppurtunity to be the best is closing very quick

  28. Jay

    June 21, 2009 at 12:09 pm

Tom what do you mean that ken flow will walk through BJ? I think you were the guy that also said that rashad was going to walk through Lyoto right?? Listen when you have 2 great warriors going to war anybody can when. BJ is at the highest level in fighting. Ken flow got whooped by sherk. I personally think that if BJ comes in with the mental game he will beat kenny. I think whatever kenny does good, BJ does it better.

  29. tom

    June 21, 2009 at 12:22 pm

Well Jay I think your a fucking retard!!!!!!

  30. Jay

    June 21, 2009 at 1:42 pm

i didnt try to offend you tom. BJ had the balls to fight Lyoto who is a 205lbs and hung with him he knocked out sherk. he choked out matt huges. and he has the sickest BJJ to say that Ken flow is gonna walk through him is well…….. i guess we will find out who the real retard is after BJ beats Kenny

  31. hosan

    June 21, 2009 at 2:30 pm

Very false on the "everything kenny does bj does better" statement. Now that kenflo has way improved his standup game and has better reach, I think he will be better on the feet. Bj however will still be better on the mat. Not a lot of people can boast a better ground game then bj.

  32. Rubs

    June 22, 2009 at 12:15 am

UFC should try to get matt brown and urijah faber. That'll make the lightweight more interesting. Right now it's just Ken-Flo and BJ displaying topnotch Lightweight skills. Try to get Shinya Aoki too.

PS i was for guida, he's like the energizer bunny, not that much skill but is so pumped up all the time. Doesn't look like he's on drugs, looks like he's on hopped up on sugar. Diego's too weird for my life. HAHAHA

  33. tom

    June 22, 2009 at 1:00 am

Your retard…WHY WOULD the 2 best 145 go up to light weight which they would never be a tittle holder in the UFC

  34. tom

    June 22, 2009 at 1:06 am

Jay i think Ken Flo will beat down on Bj, because I think they are equal on the matt and i think Kenny will keep the distance with his Great kicks, Kick boxer will beat a boxer because kicks can reach longer then arms and kicks have more power…I think Ken will be better on the Matt.. i think Bj has better Takedown Deff but Kenny is a better JJ i think and Kenny is always in shape and will sub BJ in the 3 or 4 round..

  35. tom

    June 22, 2009 at 1:07 am

Jay i bet you that Kenny will win, if i am WRONG I WILL NOT COME ON HERE FOR AWEEK AND IF I WIN YOU CANT COME ON HERE FOR A WEEK??

  36. Al 2.0

    June 22, 2009 at 1:50 am

Yea Urijah says he walks around at 158 at the most…theres no point to go up in a weight class. and MIKE Brown is still reigning as the best 145er in the world, so going up would cost him his title, best 145er in the world, and he'd have to start from the bottom and work up again. Plus UFC owns WEC so I'm sure if Dana wanted them to fight for the UFC he would just talk to them.

  37. Mike

    June 22, 2009 at 2:13 am

Faber would be terrible as a LW (he already got dominated by tyson griffin.)

Mike Brown idk about, great fighter with good power.

as for Al 2.0, what they walk about at is irrelevant due to the fact that its only 10lbs and they can bulk that up in muscle, or whatever pleases them (they can do a bj and get fat :P)

  38. Jay

    June 22, 2009 at 2:48 am

deal tom I think this is going to be a true war. I dont think either of these fighters will have butterflies. I just think at 155 BJ is a monster

  39. STEVEO

    June 22, 2009 at 7:52 am

I am not saying bj is greatest thing ever derek, but if someone has fought as many times as BJ and lost to GSP twice(one of the best fighters alive) Machida (one of the best fighters alive) and Hughes (past his prime but when BJ fought him he was one of the best fighters alive). My point is if he hasnt beat anybody and the only guys hes lost to are GREAT fighters does that prove he isn't a good fighter? I hate BJ and I hope Kenny tears his fuckin head off and throws it into the crowd but if i was betting money i would bet on BJ thats all im saying. And again Sanchez isnt in kenny or BJ's league it would be over quickly and in dominant fashion.

  40. Jay

    June 22, 2009 at 8:50 am

Thanks STEVEO. See tom lisen and learn. who did Kenny get beat by lets see…. Sherk, Drew fickett, Diego Sanchez. LISTEN if Kenny has really evolved and is training right BJ will have his hands full. I hope Kenny doesn't underestimate BJ because of his performance against GSP

  41. sy

    June 22, 2009 at 10:07 am

sanchez did not win that fight it was a draw at most clay won r2 10-9 rd3 10-9 and depending how it got scored sanchez won r1 10-8 but i think it was a 10-9 rd so i think guida won the fight

  42. Tim

    June 22, 2009 at 11:03 am

Sanchez won that fight it was close but not really Sanchez won round 1 10-8 snf round 2 could of gone either way with Clay getting the round 10-9, Sanchez clearly won round 3…sure Clay kept him down but when he was down Sanchez was throwing elbows consitantly to Clay's head from the bottom and it doesnt matter if your on your back whoever is throwing punches and doing the most damage is going to win the round…The fight could of been a draw but when you base the fight upon the MMA rules and scoring…Sanchez clearly wins round 3 10-9…The right call was made although Clay gave one hell of a performance.

  43. luke

    June 22, 2009 at 11:20 am

I had the fight as a draw. Sanchez obviously dominated round 1 so i would say it was a 10-8 round. I gave the other 2 rounds to Guida.

I had the fight 28-28 at the end although with a fight like that i was kind of disapointed to see a winner, they both gave an excellent performance.

  44. Tim

    June 22, 2009 at 11:55 am

Sanchez never stopped pouring out punishment whether on the ground or stand up…he won fair and square…he deserved it as its not often you see someone throw hard elbows from the bottom and Clay didnt land or throw much on top anyways while he may have taken him down and was on top of him for most of the time being on top doesnt mean shit when your gettin elbowed on the head multiple times and not throwing back those elbows won the fight for Sanchez…

  45. Rubs

    June 23, 2009 at 12:17 am

I'm just saying you fucktard that those are the only challenges left for the lightweight division. Not much to look around for in the lightweight divisions these days. After Ken-Flo BJ, who else can prove themselves in the light weight? not a lot of possibilities.

  46. Al 2.0

    June 23, 2009 at 1:12 am

gray maynard, little frankie edgar, tyson griffin, Sherk, Guida, and Joe Daddy are still relevant i think, Up and comers Nate diaz, joe lauzon, terry etim, cole miller, josh neer, Jeremy Stephens…..spencer fisher, diego sanchez, Sam Stout are looking good these days…. We'll see how Ross Pearson does

    June 23, 2009 at 2:45 am

  48. Nate Fury

    June 23, 2009 at 3:11 am

Frank Edgar deserves a title shot before Diego Sanchez, in my opinion. Edgar's last two victorys over Sean Sherk and Hermes Franca are enough to give him the shot, not to mention past wins over Tyson Griffin and Spencer Fisher. Diego is good, but I think he is ducking the fighters in the division that are great wrestlers. If you recall he doesn't fair well against them. His losses to Josh Koscheck and Jon Fitch were proof of that. I don't think he could hang with the likes of Frank Edgar, Sean Sherk, Grey Maynard or even a Tyson Griffin. Then again, maybe he could. I'm still not sold on him deserving a title shot quite yet.

  49. Rubs

    June 23, 2009 at 3:14 am

Yeah, i agree. I'd rather Frankie Edgar more than Diego for a title shot.

  50. Jay

    June 23, 2009 at 6:29 am

Sam Stout??? Please!!! Stout has nothing on these other fighters. Rich Clementi beat him. Stout is good but not complete

  51. other derek

    June 23, 2009 at 1:50 pm

sanchez vs edgar would be a sick fight……any fight those guys are in are always badass ………..the winner of that should get title shot

  52. dane drebin

    June 23, 2009 at 2:26 pm

how exactly do u guys think kenny is gunna walk through bj? what does kenny do better than bj? the only times bj loses is if his cardio is bad or he's fighting someone who can take him down and pound on him.

    Bj's sprawl > Kenny's wrestling

i could see kenny winning if he cuts bj with an elbow but i think bj is on another level. kenny is an awesome fighter but he is no GSP.
