that means rampage won't be fighting until midle of next year??? if rampage and griffin will be coaches, TUF 7 will have a lot of comedy in it.

Sounds good to me. I think Forrest is a good choice to fight Rampage because he really stepped it up in his fight with Shogun. When is TUF 7 start?

yeah rampage should fight before he goes to be a caoch.. i think Forest would lose that fight..but it would be a good one to watch..

I thought Dana said Rampage was fighting in May but if this breaks then he will have a long layoff between fights. I'd pay to see this especially after seeing how much these guys have improved lately.

i think this is a great matchup they will be way funny coaches with larger than life attitudes and i think forest will be a lot bigger of a challenge then people give him credit for… with that being said how many people ahs forset knocked out compared to rampage and i think rampage ahs him beat on the ground too but forest is a gigantic liggt heavyweight and a i dont think he will me manhandled like most

Last I heard Silva was suppose to fight Rampage after the Liddel fight. I dont think anyone is gonna want to see Rampage v. Griffin. Not taking anything away from Griffin, but he has only beaten one top oppenent. I would like to see him up against one more legit contender before he gets a title shot, especially after losing to Jardine.

If you listened closely to what Dana White said at the season 6 finale you would of heard him call Forrest the number 1 contender which pretty much gives away that rampage is the other coach. At the end Joe Rogan also looked off into the stands and him and Dana had a good laugh, I bet he looked over at Rampage but everyone will find out on sunday anyways. It should be interesting to see the "big changes" they are making to this season.

jardine vs forest 2 should happen, i think.

Does this mean that there will be a light Heavyweight interim champ??? A year long wait for a title match??? More BS???

    Another interim champ?????

uhhh… incase any of u havent noticed the light heavyweight division is in shambles right now… its almost impossible to tell the rankings in the ufc in that division right now… rampage knocks out chuck… forest gets ko'd by jardine… jardine gets ko'd by alexander, alexander gets ko'd by silva, jardine beats lidell, and forest beats shogun

the only thing they can do is shogun was the number one contender ans was slated to fight rampage after he was supposed to destroy forest… forest won so he gets the title shot just like gonzaga did to mirko… it might not be as big as a money maker but thats mma and forest earned it

its not gunna hurt to put that divisions title on hold for awhile while th rest of the contenders battle it out to see what the true rankings are

  14. Derek

    December 8, 2007 at 10:48 pm

I just dont believe that the Griffin and Shogun fight was a battle for a number one contender. Griffin was just a fluff fight for Shogun, but he was suffering from injuries. Just because some chump beats a top fighter, doesnt mean he should be the number one contender. The win over Shogun was impressive, but we all know that wasnt the real Shogun. And Forrest has shown me nothing else except for a strong heart. I would rather see Silva and Rampage as coaches and let forrest fight some other contenders. I would mind seeing a tournament for the number one contender spot.

    December 9, 2007 at 2:19 am

Its all about giving the fans what they want. Forrest will sell tickets and right now nobody is a shoe in for the #1 Contenders spot in that division. The only other guys who have been consistently winning are Jardine and Rashad and those guys arent ready for Rampage.

  16. tom

    December 9, 2007 at 3:10 am

i agree with Derek, thats how i feel a 100%

  17. dane drebin

    December 9, 2007 at 6:11 am

they arent allowed to do tournaments anymore they are too dangerous or something dana white has said he'd love to do one but hes not allowed… i dont see how u see griffin making the most out of his oppurtunity any different from gonzaga doin the same thing to cro cop? shogun injured himself in the end of the fight not before or in the begining… i do agree that shogun didnt look like his former self i had a bet with my friend who thought griffin would win and i was like this is going to be easy mony…. then i saw him in his entrance and the guy had something id never seen before… mitties! man tittie! he looked so soft and outta shape! forest looked the most jacked ive ever seen him veins poppin out and just hella cut…. the fact of the matter is shogun had the title in his hands he didnt take forest seriously and came in unprepared… forest dominated him and earns the title shot

i do believe if shogun doesnt rush back into a fight before he's healed and gets his ass in gear he will be the champ sooner than later

If you saw the commercial for Video game awards rampage was with forest griffon talking on stage, so they proably started talking and dana white came up and said that. everybody knows that the show has been already taped.

I would like to point out the ultimate fighter show season 6 was a big disapointment.they put Mac Danzing up agaist all them rookies,i mean i knew how that was going to turn out from the start.

  20. Derek

    December 9, 2007 at 9:50 am

I was under the impression shogun had the injuries before the fight, along with getting married and moving. The reason he had the man tits was because he was not able to condition because of his knee. The fight is only gonna sell tickets because Dana does to many promotions for the TUF fans instead of MMA fans. Forrest will get owned in this fight and probably never be a top 10 LHW again.

  21. Jeremy

    December 9, 2007 at 10:06 am

Jackson has a hand injury right now, and that is why it's been so long since he has fought. This could be a way to work around that, but still get him in the fans faces.

  22. Dannyg0090

    December 9, 2007 at 12:05 pm

Jackson should fucking fight Wanderlei Silva why the fuck do you all want to see some pussies fighting in the greatest division in the world. Jackson got beat down by Silva in PRIDE so he should fight him for the ultimate finale. No they wouldnt do that because that's too good of a fight to put on PPV and they have to show it on SPIKE. So thats basically just proof that its a set up fight for Jackson. Griffin will lose by knockout in the first round.

    December 9, 2007 at 12:24 pm

I don't believe silva should get a tittle fight. He needs to prove himself before that can happen and if he beats liddell i dont see that as proving himself. Silva go owned in the UFC by both ortiz and belfort. Its such bullshit when a fighter comes in and wins one fight and receives a title shot. That bullshit happened with the middle weight champ silva. He beat a low level fighter and got a title shot just because he made a name for himself outside of the UFC. There are fighters who bust there ass and dont get rewarded like huerta or finch who are both 6-0 in the UFC. Where is there title shots. Why is GSP getting the fight and not Finch. Its just bullshit in my opinion.

  24. steve

    December 9, 2007 at 2:42 pm

rampage won one fight and was givin a title shot lol and look where he is. Silva should not earn a title shot if he beats liddlell same goes for liddell. Forrest should have to win another fight against a #1 contender say the man the tko'd him. Jardine. If he avenged that loss then u could give him a title shot. I think the UFC should have winner of Silva liddell fight the winner of sokoudju and machida for an oppurtunity to fight for the #1 contender spot. The UFC needs rankings like boxing that way there is no bullshit fghts put together and nobdoy can get a title shot without earning it.

  25. dane drebin

    December 9, 2007 at 3:48 pm

silva should get a title shot souly on the fact hes beaten the champ twice by knock out… but only if he gets past the former champ chuck… if chuck wins chuck shouldnt get a shot he should have to prove himself after how shitty he has looked lately… i dont think he should work his way from the bottom but definetly needs to beat another name opponent before anything should be given to him… i stand by saying forest is deserving of his shot he has worked hard and besides getting caught by jardine he has been impressive… i dont wanna see griffin jardine 2 for awhile i think they should hold off on that one… id like to see jardine vs tito…. i think jardine would whoop tito on the feet but i dont think he could defend the take down… i think it would put tito back in with the top dogs and i think since jardine and rashad are but buddies that the fight would make sense

  26. Phelan

    December 9, 2007 at 4:14 pm

Listen I dont mean to pull the race card or anything like that I do agree that silva is probably the best suited to fight rampage but silva has not beat anyone in the ufc yet and I am sorry but its been proven quite a few times it only takes 1 punch for lidell to put a man to sleep so it possible that silva doesnt get his first UFC win for another year not to mention the man dosent speek english be kinda hard to coach dont you think not being able to talk to your team without a translater. Come on.. let silva beat liddell and then talk

  27. JOE

    December 9, 2007 at 7:05 pm

5150: Anderson got a title shot after beating Chris Leben who (especially at the time) wasn't considered a low level fighter. Anderson then Decimated the champ twice. GSP is getting the title shot because he just lost the belt and deserves a rematch. That's how it should be. I think "Finch" (FITCH) will have his shot soon enough. I do agree they should have a better established ranking order.

  28. Derek

    December 10, 2007 at 8:05 pm

5150…you have got to be kidding me bad mouthing Silva. He is one of the greatest LHW of all time! And stop with the loses to Ortiz and Belfort that were at the beginning of his career. He deserves a shot at the title. Everyone of his loses are to legit opponents and Chute Box OWNS rampage. I agree there should be a ranking system. That way there are no questions as to who is going to be fighting the champ next. This whole Prider merger is fucking everything up

  29. tom

    December 11, 2007 at 5:02 am

im with derek on the Chute Box OWNS rampage.. jackson lost 2 times to silva.. and i think silva should be fighting jackson if silva can beat chuck.. and if forest fight jackson i think its going to be like Nate vs Franklin .. TUF Best Vs UFC best at the time and we all know what happend to nate after that fight..

Dannyg0090… "Pussies?" You are calling the Jackson and Griffin pussies? Are you mentally ill? So because they have lost fights they aren't tough? I'm sorry, you must be an undefeated cage fighter from the way you talk. Sooo…. how about this: if you don't fight in a cage for a living you don't have the right to call people who do pussies, okay? Did you happen to know that Forrest once broke his arm blocking a head kick and went on to win that fight by K.O.? On top of that he never went to a hospital to get it fixed because he didn't have the money… Yeah, what a pussy. Moving on, my only qualm with this fight is that Griffin didn't have to rematch Jardine first, like it or not Jardine beat Griffin, lost by K.O. to Alexander then beat Liddell. Griffin lost to Jardine by T.K.O. then beat Hector and Shogun, which puts them on even ground i believe. I absolutely think that they should fight before Griffin gets a shot at Rampage, but none the less i am looking forward to seeing Griffin Vs. Rampage. They have both improved significantly and this should bode well for a good fight.

im jus gunna throw thisout there one more time… i think tito would destroy jardine… i dont think jardine could defent the take down. why has nobdy ever taken jardine down everyone knows hes a great striker but just t=stands and bangs with him for better or for worse. i dont get it.

    June 18, 2008 at 7:09 am

I bet forest wins. He has big heart and this is for the title. I bet he trains real hard and beats rampage. I think rampage is kocky and wont train as hard. Time for a new champ !!!

  33. Mark

    June 18, 2008 at 7:12 am

Roy !!! Bisbing will destroy leben. Leben has no heart. Surprised leben is still allowed to fight. He sucks.

  34. tom

    June 18, 2008 at 7:41 am

naw mark.. Leben will beat bisping.. Chris hits hard and has a better chin.. Who has Bisping even beat that was good?? Leban has beat some good middle weights and he lost to A silva and who is a god.. idk how he lost to Kalib because all Kalub was doing was running away and micheal M got a lucky choke and other then that Chris has beat some very good dude mike has just fight nobody good

  35. roy

    June 18, 2008 at 8:08 am

mark what do you mean he has no heart did you see his last couple of fights, he won them on heart alone. he is not the best out there but has a ton of heart and like tom said he has a good chin and power.bisping is probally more technical but i think its a good match up that will make for a good war i don't know who would win.

  36. roy

    June 18, 2008 at 8:09 am

i should have looked at your other posts it explains it all mark, you think forrest is beating rampage?

  37. Nicks

    June 18, 2008 at 8:18 am

Rampage is the top of the line in his weightclass. I like Forrest but he odds of being a beast like Rampage are very slim at best.
