TUF: UK vs. Australia Coming This Fall?

The Ultimate Fighter reality show expansion could be greater then Brazil. FB,

The major decision for UFC official’s to make is whether it will be a UK team or an England only team facing off against Australia in the show titled ‘The Smashes’.

Providing it’s an UK team, Northern Ireland fighters will also be allowed to audition [FightBulletin]

According to the report, UFC bantamweight Brad Pickett is the frontrunner to lead Team UK in the expansion as coach in season 1.

What do you think of TUF forking its show into other countries?

    Having TUF in other countries is a good thing, but at the end of the season it should be a final battle from all the countries winners with the winner of the showdown getting the 6 figure contract.

    I think at this point they could upgrade the winner's prize. When they started the show the average fighter's pay was much lower than it is now. And lets face it, "6 figure contract" means $100,000. They could attract a lot more quality fighters if they announced a 400K or 500K contract. I'm not calling the UFC cheap either, they generally pay their big stars well, but it's time to increase the TUF prize.

    great idea as long as us brits get to watch the u.s version aswell u no espn uk aint gona pay for both.
    and as for just england vs australia it should defo be uk vs australia wider range of fighters. no one is america would watch coz thet wouldn’t be able to understand the scottish welsh or irish fighters lol
