i thought mir looked smaller than last time but because he is the leanest i've ever seen him at. we'll see if he is faster. he's a double to one payout so mir is my upset pick of the night.

    July 11, 2009 at 2:59 pm

The cunt or is it count got ktfo!!! Brit got what he deserved . Bisping was so cocky and talking so much shit. He got it though. Go Henderson!!! And some of you guys were saying that Dan henderson is slowing down at 38???

  26. zack

    July 11, 2009 at 3:13 pm

Agreed, Jay. That was a spectacular, brutal, KO. I loved it.

I told you Mike and all the others that Dan was going to win by KO. You guys that said Bisping was going to win and that Hendo couldn't win by KO. Dan proved you wrong and I guess i was right.

    July 11, 2009 at 4:33 pm

hmm so much hate for Bisping.

but as i said, "the only way for Dan is to win is by catching him with a big hit"

oh look that happened. granted i didn't expect him to land it but he did. all being said Bisping was beating Hendo till he got caught!

  30. Dave

    July 11, 2009 at 4:58 pm

Mike…You're an idiot. Your boy got his ass handed to him. Henderson was favored heavily tonight for a reason. He is in a diferent class than Bisping…obviously.

GSP's fight was boring..just like Silva's – the rest of the card was great. Lesnar vs. Fedor….what a wonderful world that would be.

  31. patrick bateman

    July 11, 2009 at 5:20 pm

i laugh at all you iddiots who thought Bisping, Alves and Mir would dominate.

    go fuck yourselves losers

  32. STEVEO

    July 11, 2009 at 5:28 pm

you are blind if you thought hendo was losing that fight before the KO. BASED ON WHAT? I am glad Frank "I was talking a lot of shit because I knew I was going to get murdered" Mir got the shit beat out of him. Did lesnar even get hit? GSP proved there really isn't anyone that can test him there, put them in there it doesn't matter, hes the andersen silva of 2 years ago. I don't really no that belcher got robbed, 2 rounds could go either way for sure and apparently they went the other way. Fitch looked good as always, hes like the energizer bunny of 170. Lesnar does need someone his own size. Did Coleman really win, was anyone there, I find that fairly hard to believe, all and all great cardx I was hoping more from GSP Alves but it went like I assumed it would with GSP dominating, the bar was loud as shit but I assume he won 45-50

  33. Tank

    July 11, 2009 at 5:37 pm

Just like I said alves would get dominated. Holy shit was he overrated and overhyped. There was a reason he was a 3-1 underdog. It was good to see that punk bitch bisping get knocked out too. akiyama-belcher coulda gone either way, I do not agree with the judge that scored it 30-27 tho. stupid fuckin judges. Lesnar FTW. The shit talkers got what they deserved tonite(Mir & Bisping). Whoever said the GSP fight was boring, ur fuckin trippin that fight was great. Silva's last fight was great too. Complete domination. Nice performances by Fitch and Paulo Thiago, I thought that was a good fight too.

  34. Mike

    July 11, 2009 at 6:19 pm

this was a bad night for UFC imho, stacked with it biggest names yet really failed to deliver best fights by far. (for the "main events")

  35. Cobra Clutch

    July 11, 2009 at 6:41 pm

Some of you guys must have been hit with a Hendo punch like your buddy Bisping to think that Bisping was winning the fight, and this wasn't a good night for UFC. This was a great night. This brought the UFC more into the mainstream and got more awareness for MMA in general. Anything that helps the sport we love grow is good for everyone.

I wonder if Bisping woke up, yet, from the nap he took on the canvas in the middle of the fight. Little baby was only missing his bottle, a blanket and a pillow for how deep he was out.

I was afraid Bisping would win, but I'm so happy Hendo not only pulled it out, but knocked-him-the-fuck-out!!!

  36. Mike

    July 11, 2009 at 7:35 pm

hmm Wrestlers won every fight on the card.

UFC is not the same as MMA FFS i wish people would stop going on like it.

UFC 100 made UFC more mainstream!

    Lesnar vs Mir… boring.

GSP vs Alves…. Alves looked out of place and GSP dominated via take downs.

Hendo vs Bisping… it was never going to be a good fight, least it had a good knock out.

    Lawlor Vs CB…. early finish.

Fitch… one of the best fights.

Belcher, bad judging imho fight of the night for me.

big names, yes, big names produce good fights? no.

  37. Nichole Lesniak

    July 11, 2009 at 10:08 pm

But wrestling didn't WIN every fight.

    And Fitch's fight was boring.

  38. TAZKE

    July 11, 2009 at 10:33 pm

I assume that this season of TUF has something to do with finding a couple fighters that can put on a entertaining fight with Lesner.

GSP pulled his groin, did you hear that, pulled his groin, noticed he informed every one right away, including Alves.

Great job by Hendo, really enjoyed the extra punch for good measure, that will be one the highlight clips for a few years.

I felt bad for Fitch having to go after the main events. Great fight though, he has that ability to stay calm when he needs to.

During the Beltcher fight I couldn’t understand why Joe was talking about how bad he was beating up on Yoshihiro Akiyama, I thought it was even but think it should have went the other way. Add a couple more million fans from Japan and Korea though, that’s great.

Haven’t seen the CB fight but I really hope he goes away, did he tap? Are you sure? Really sure? Might have looked a lot like a tap but maybe not.

What fight got the ring so bloody before the PPV?

Let’s not forget Holly, she did a great job as an octagon girl!! She said it was her dream to be an octagon girl & that is so cool because some of my dreams involve Holly.

  39. tim

    July 11, 2009 at 11:02 pm

where are all the mir huggers now?…lesnar beat him like a fucking ragdoll..he dominated with his game plan to take it standing and work for a dominate takedown position..and that was some sick moves by lesnar holding mirs are around his head and launching those bombs..lesnar will lose sometime the question is when oglh and i guess their first fight was just a fluke.

  40. whodini

    July 11, 2009 at 11:29 pm

not Mir huggers ….Brock haters maybe

  41. zack

    July 11, 2009 at 11:30 pm

I completely agree with Jay. Mike u say some crazy stuff. UFC 100 wasnt boring it had good fights. Dan knocking out Bisping was the best and Lesnar knocking Mir's douchebag ass out was also very nice. I happpen to love that card, besides GSP gay ass and his fight or wrestling match.

Bisping was not winning before Dan KO'd him. Dan about KO'd him in the first round. Bisping was just running away and Dan closed the distance and landed a bomb that knocked him TFO. And thats exactly what told you would happen before the fight, Mike.

The Lesnar/Mir fight was not boring. Brock dished out some brutal g and p that entire fight. It was entertaining. I like Lesnar now. Mir talked all this crap before the and when Lesnar says some s*it everyone boos him.

Something else that i hated was GSP and his way of winning. It's so boring, he just layed on Thiago when he got a takedown and he was always looking for a takedown. I thought that it was funny when Brock would take Mir down the crowd would boo even though he was doing some really good g and p. But when GSP would take Alves down the crowd would cheer even though he wasn't doing any good g and p that whole fight. I just have more hate for GSP than ever.

  42. zack

    July 11, 2009 at 11:39 pm

Mike, you said it would be a fluke if Dan KO'd Bisping and that obvouisly wrong. Dan stalked him, landing good punches that entire fight. it was just a matter of time before Dan connected with a one of those bombs and he did. And the follow up hammerfist after Bisping was KO'd was just like the one he did to Wandy in Pride.

  43. Nichole Lesniak

    July 12, 2009 at 12:02 am

Tim – Lesnar is still far from good. "Smothering" does not equal skill.

  44. steve

    July 12, 2009 at 12:25 am

Nichole I complelty agree and we all saw who didnt want to stand up that fight. It takes a real badass to lay on someone and beat the shit out of them b/c they weigh 35 lbs more right Tim;). I give Lesnar props he used all that steroid muscle and put it to good use. Lesnar was gonna get beat if it was standing at all and he knew that, thats why he took him down and as fast as he could. So much for lesnar being a real man and banging it out Tim.

  45. other derek

    July 12, 2009 at 12:31 am

  46. other derek

    July 12, 2009 at 12:37 am

or maybe he was just a bitch right after something happened i remember???????

  47. CYRYUS

    July 12, 2009 at 12:39 am

Lesnar is bad for UFC. He acts like he's still in the WWE flipping the fans off and not even touching gloves to start the fight. Totally classless. And then running his mouth after the fight. The dude has 5 fights and he's running off his mouth like he's been in the sport for 10 years and is like 22-1 or something. Totally classless. The touching of the gloves is like hockey players shaking hands after a game. It's called sportsmanship. And obviously Brock still thinks this is the WWE where you flip off the fans and act like a fucking scumbag to gain "heel" status. W/e, his fag anticts are going to ruin the credibility of REAL MMA fighters. It's too bad the UFC's heavyweight division is a complete joke and no one there will even be able to mount any real fight against 300 lbs steroid junkies.

  48. kom34

    July 12, 2009 at 12:48 am

i used to watch lesnar in wwe and he is acting just like his character there. but a cocky brock lesnar is much more entertaining to watch. he knows what sells. i think they should split the hv division because the smaller guys are going to get ragdolled like mir did tonight.

bisping was not winning that fight. i knew hendo had it in the bag. you don't circle into a guys power like that. i think bisping was so cocky he circled left because he thought more about setting up his own power punch than receiving one. dan was just missing over the top because bisping was circling left and ducking. in the last one he dropped the punch and connected.

i thought belcher clearly won, joe rogan said it was a bad decision. but most of the people here don't think so. i guess i have to watch that one again.

the only reason fitch isn't getting a title shot is because he's gone to a decision in his last five fights, the last two since weren't that exciting. did anyone else notice how cleared out the arena was when he fought. they even had to turn off the audience light so ppv's couldn't see.

  49. Nichole Lesniak

    July 12, 2009 at 12:51 am

    I agree 100% steve.

Yeah, Lesnar was a total d-bag after the fight. No respect.

Thankfully Dana put him in his place afterwards. He really better clean up his act.

I really think Shane Carwin can shut him up.

  50. CYRYUS

    July 12, 2009 at 12:58 am

On another note. The UFC really as much as they don't want to admit it, was still struggling up until last year with trying to get a real mainstream endorser. Finally they were able to get Budweiser from Boxing and pretty much bury boxing. And what does Brock do? He shits all over their primary endorser. So what does the UFC have for it's "premiere" heavyweight face? An unsportsmanlike asshole who disrespects the franchise's endorsements and it's fans. Wow. The future's looking bright for them. What did Dana White do/say to put him in his place Nichole?

  51. kom34

    July 12, 2009 at 1:03 am

brock did go a little overboard in this fight. in the pre fight he said he was done talking and would exit before Q&A. dana had to stop him from leaving. i'm sure budweiser is going to have something to say about his statement in the cage.

  52. richaaron

    July 12, 2009 at 1:06 am

I disagree. Lesnar is great for the UFC. He might not be great for us true fans but trust me, he is just what the UFC, aka Dana White wanted. Have you ever seen the PPV numbers that the WWE gets? If Dana can get even a small percentage of those fans to start buying to see Brock, I think he will be very happy. And to be honest, I think that has been his intention with Brock all along. Once Lashley wipes out everyone in all the small venues, Dana will start knocking at his door. Remember, Dana has always said that Mr. McMahan (?), owner of the WWE is his biggest hero…

BTW, Hendo was dominating Bitchping and as far as the Akiyama/Belcher fight goes, I agree with the scoring, with the exception of the judge who scored 30-27. He must have been staring at Holly's tit's during the fight…

Dont think Franklin could have quite shut Bisping up like that. UK owned.

Sorry guys I keep reading posts that are stupid and must coment back on. Mike are you high??? You said 1. that Bipsing was WINNING the fight against Hendo up until he got KO'd? LOL he hadnt even landed 1 solid shot. He tried to pull a Jardine only he couldnt land anything or kick. Never was winning the fight. Then you said that the fitch fight was one of the best. Yeah it was the 5th best fight that they aired lol. The belcher v. Akiyama fight should for sure be fight of the night. Great fight. Could have gone either way a deserved split decision for sure. The takedown and those last couple punches may have got it done for Akiyama. A good night overall loved how lesnar let Mir up got caught and went straight for the takedown.

Mir, Nog and Couture give the most problems to Lesnar in the whole heavy division, for the fact that Mir and Nog are BJJ experts and that cancels out Lesnar's on top advantage, and we all saw that Couture was able to take on Lesnar's wrestling skills. We all know how wrestlers do in the UFC, i think were gonna have a heavyweight Matt Hughes with Brock Lesnar. Who else can match his wrestling? I can see some beating him in the striking but once that happens he's just gonna take them down. So im predicting Lesnar will be champ for a while cuz no one in the UFC will match his wrestling. Maybe if Nog beats Couture we'll see a Lesnar VS Nog.

  70. Schmac

    July 12, 2009 at 5:30 am

I think GSP's ground and pound could have been much more effective if he didn't have the smashed up right elbow with bursitis. I saw it a couple days beforehand and he had a baseball hanging off his elbow. I'm sure he had it pumped full of cortisone but it was still in bad shape, would hurt like hell to use it and certainly wouldn't do as much damage either.

  71. Jay

    July 12, 2009 at 6:17 am

If Dan fights silva again he should not stand with him. Anderson Silva has a Phd in the stand up game and no one can come close to matching him. I want to see the Dan in Pride fight Silva. Dan has Execellent take down and ground and pound game. He beat a Vitor Belfort that way. Dan has to be agrressive with Silva dn dont get caught up in Siva's world. Dan aslo has execellent gas tank. BUT!!! i still think Silva will beat him

  72. Mike

    July 12, 2009 at 6:27 am

Carwin or Velaquez will be the next to beat Brock imho.

Brock is good, but in MMA Wrestling is WAY too overpowered. (in terms of judging, etc.)

lying on top of someone is imho the making for a boring fight esp the way brock does it.

first off dan henderson did reat in that fight the whole time rocked bisping round one and finished him round 2. bispings big mouth got shut hard.

steve i usuall agree with a ot you say but bro we know u were rooting for mir and it prolly still stings a little but u cant defend his performance by saying lesnars a pussy for taking him down. thats how mir won the last fight and thats wat mirs good at. mir has KO'd wes sims and a staph infection big nog h wasnt gunna KO brock…ever. watching brock humiliate mir was like watching a red neck man punish his mouthy little kid. I said from day one mir is extremely over rated and i still stand by that. i think lesnars attitude is funny. he doesnt care about wat people think and why should he he's a millionaire, as a playboy playmate wife, and pretty much won the ufc heavyweight championship because one day he just decided he wanted to. mans on top of the world right now i think its funny how he punked mirs shit talkin ass after the fight. if i got in a fight with someone talkin that much trash i wouldnt hug him afterwards either. shows their fued was real.

LMAO

    July 12, 2009 at 7:03 am

i thinks it so stupid win fans come out and bash on the winner for just going for take downs and GnP, when you go into a fight its up to you, and you only to shut down your opponents game no matter what thier game is, it's as simple as that. Mir's dumb ass should of been working more on take down defense rather than talking shit the whole time and maybe he would of had more of a chance. So maybe instead of bashing on Lesnar for winning the way he did we can start bashing on Mir for not taking Brock seriously. Mir got man handled because Mir didn't come prepared.

  78. zack

    July 12, 2009 at 7:14 am

I agree dane drebin. GSP (a**hole) was doing practically no g and p that whole fight and the crowd cheered. He just wanted to lay on Alves to avoid the stand up and win a decision. Brock was doing great g and p the whole fight on Mir and finished him brutally and the crowd booed. It definitely was biased.

Why does everyone boo and hate Lesnar? He went in there and delivered some of the most brutal g and p I've ever seen. Maybe he talked a lil sh*t, but the crowd was booing him hardcore from the time he came out til the time he was done interviewing with Joe and Mir (that douchebag) talked a bunch of sh*t to Brock before their fight. He did act a lil bit bad, but I felt like what he did was kind of justified, he felt like everyone was hating on him and they were. He also did apologize after the fight, so give him a lil break.

  79. Joey

    July 12, 2009 at 7:22 am

Its kind of hard to ground and pound a guy who is as good at escaping as Alves. Noone has ever gotten up from GSP's takedowns like that.

Mir just got ragdolled in there. I at least wanted a match. But he did get Lesnar with a couple a good knees before he got bashed to a pulp. Lesnar even admited he saw stars for a second.

Hendo is back. I think he deserves a title shot.

  80. zack

Hendo's brutal KO of Bisping was F*CKING AWESOME!!

Very similar to the way he KO'd Wandy in Pride. But with a big right hand instead of a big left.

i must say congratulations to the website. i've never seen this many user comments under a single thread at this site before… so props.

i was impressed with hendo yesterday. i thought he was turning into a washed up wanderlei, but he proved me wrong. he still has it in his tank with the no fear fighting style. him KOing the bisping, who was competing in a track meet, just put icing on it. i thought GSP dominated alves. i disagree who say the fight was boring. GSP domainted alves in every aspect of the game. he needs to move up to 185. there is nobody left on his level to compete with him. not even bj penn or kenny florian. mir disappointed me because i thoght he would have better takedown defense or at least better wrestling, considering he was a nevada state wrestling champion. i thought mir would be more active in striking and have a phenomenal ground game. turns out i was wrong. i was also disappointed in brock because he is so classless. he is freaking champion and needs to set a good example. frankly, i give it up to brock for his smothering type wrestling and power, but frankly, he is moody. i wished fedor would come to the ufc after he beats barnett and teach brock a lesson… probably armbar style. or i hope shane carwin wins and then takes on brock.

gsp looked amazing tonight and hendo ko was unreal.

    July 12, 2009 at 10:01 am

That's clever, rich. The only reason I don't like Lesnar is because I don't like how he was put on the UFC fast track to championship just because he's famous. Is kimbo gonna get a title shot next just to raise money? Fuck being fair to the other fighters, let's make the most possible money we can. I also don't like his incredibly disrespectful antics. He won the fight, there was no reason to continue to yell at Mir and flip everyone off and spit in the face of UFC's possibly biggest sponsor. It's stupid. I think that kind of bullshit and boring fight style will lead to fans not wanting to even watch his fights. I honestly have to say, Alves didn't seem to look himself in that fight, but maybe thats just what GSP does to fighters. He did do a great job getting back to his feet. I actually thought the Fitch fight was great, but I love BJJ, so thats probably why. Why was that fight delayed until the end? I think Lesnar definately has some tough competition ahead of him from here. I def. want to see Carwin, Velasquez and Gonzaga against him, and even Kongo. I think Kongo's standup will pose a pretty good threat to Lesnar's takedown attempts and Kongo is a fast and strong son of a bitch with possibly a better reach advantage. Those will be exciting fights.

  85. Nichole Lesniak

    July 12, 2009 at 10:05 am

Hasn't it already been mentioned that the winner of Nog/Couture will get a shot at Lesnar (though I don't think either deserves a title shot after losing to Mir and Lesnar respectively)?

I think Carwin is going to walk through Velazquez. And then I hope they give him a shot at Lesnar – then we'll see the sore loser Lesnar is. I agree Mike – Lesnar's style of "wrestling" is overrated.

Dane – regardless of Lesnar's money, status, whatever – he's supposed to be a professional. He has a boss, he has sponsors and he needs to respect them. Without them, the money stops coming in. And as far as their "feud" – Lesnar said in the press conference that he had nothing against Mir.

Donio – Uh, Brock lost once too. Period. And Lesnar admitted to being a sore loser.

What pisses me off is that so many people are coming down on Mir for talking trash, when Lesnar did just as much?

zack – Peopled booed Lesnar because he was acting like a disrespectful jackass – even before the fight. If Mir is a d-bag, so is Lesnar. He apologized because Dana made him.

derek – there was a thread not to long ago that hit the max of 150 posts.

I agree that the Velasquez/Carwin winner would be the best match-up right now vs. Lesnar. It's only a matter of time now, before "you-know-who" will have to fight Lesnar. He might be the only one who has a chance if Carwin can't do it.

Mike Machida has Karate Stand Up which is awesome. Anderson Has laser sharp technical striking(muay thai, k1 style) and he is also a good boxer. If Anderson were to go toe to toe with full potential he would beat Machida in my opinion because Machida has been rocked by BJ and he didn't want anything to do with Michael Mcdonalds stand up thats why he took him down and choked him out

okay why is everyone keep saying lesnar talks just as much trash as mir…etc…um if i recall lesnar never went out of his way to trash talk mir, it was mir who kept talking shit and even made a video making fun of lesnar and his wwe thing…all i am saying is brock lives in isolation he doesnt have internet access, he only watches hunting tv and goes hunting on his spare time, he is also very family oriented and he is a sore loser he doesnt like to lose as nobody does..hw has a temper and from what people who know him say is that he twnds to speak first and think later, he also naturally doesnt give a shit which is the best attitude to have not to mention wether you like him or or not your always going to tune in to see him win or lose…those are facts…when are fighters going to learn to stop trash talking lesnar as that just builds him up even more to kick ur ass, see randy didnt talk shit abd he was actually holding on for a bit, mir is the biggesr trash talker and there is no comparison to lesnar and trash talking, lesnar hates interviews period he just simply likes to go in and kick ass and fight..love him or hate him he is one talented sob, who made mir cry and bleed like a government mule that he is, all i have to say is payback is a bitch isnt it frank? also lesnar doesnt need the ufc, the ufc needs lesnar more..lesnar is millionaire set for life…he is fighting to fight first and get paid second..sorry but lesnars wild antics only occure when you trash talk him…randy didnt trash him neither did lesnar..speaking of which randy stated that lesnar is going to become the most dominate hvwt of all time if he puts his mind to it and that it is simply scarry to think that lesnar can only get better. mma is a game plan and lesnar sticks to what is the other fighters weakness and sinks in on it..there is nothing wrong with that..nothing..

I'll quote what I'm sure Dana White would say to you Tim and that's "The UFC doesn't "need" anyone." And I'm pretty sure the UFC had been doing pretty well the last few years WITHOUT Brock Lesnar, so as far as I can see it, the UFC doesn't need Brock Lesnar. And they certainly don't need his WWE circus anticts if they are trying to put their tattered past image aside and continue to grow as a mainstream sport.

  90. Jay

I would like to see hendo and silva 2.

I think brock would beat cain by just shear strength and wrestling skill because that's mostly what cain does, he's just smaller.

But carwin may have the answer. He hits hard and he is strong. IF he catches anyone he can put them out. I would like to see him fight lesnar next. I do think that lesnar can beat any hw in the ufc though.

  97. derek

    July 12, 2009 at 2:38 pm

cain is too small against brock. but brock has monster punches that i don't think cain's chin can handle. carwin probably can stand up to brock in terms of wrestling and strength. that would be an interesting fight. if fedor came over to the ufc, let's be honest. he would clean it out. he would probably submit brock in one round.

smothering is a skill its no called mma for nothing anything goes practicly any style and if you have not realized brock is a very smart fighter he sticks to his game plans and dominates fighters where they are weak or in franks case he neutralized his bjj by puttng him against the cage and beating the hell out of mir. each fight we see a better lesnar that sticks to his game plan i mean isnt the fighter trying to win the fight by any means..you call it smothering i call it pure control and dominance, now do you like people talking shit on you nicole? no, so why would brock care what people think…he doesnt but he doesnt like other fighters bashing him especially his next opponent..plain and simple he doesnt trash talk until the other fighter starts it and even then he is only speaking the truth. lesnar will be champ for awhile he will lose but i dont see it soon.

Its pretty obvious that season 10 of TUF has been cast with Brock in mind. They don't fight to get on the show. There a several football and prior UFC fighters.

Wish they could show all the fights or the good ones afterwards at least.

GSP pulled his groin and it really hurt alot, really bad, pulled his groin, not sure why that bugs me but the guy really is a proffesional and he is a great sportsman. And seems to like his suits.

I don't care for Brocks antics either but I he probably is serious when he says he doesn't care what people think. I don't think he is concerned about the money, I think he really just wants to fight. I hope the "Dana Chat" sunk through his thick skull. Where is that blog? now that would be fun to watch!

I agree they need to look at the weight classes, maybe a HUGE MF class or something for the over 250's

Brock, sad to say, proved me wrong. I was for Mir. His ground-and-pound got better. But im still not diggin' his smother style. I'd like to see him fight someone with actual wrestling skills and can size-up with him like Velasquez or Lashley. I really think those two will test Brock. Also Brock also proved another thing, he's a bigger douche than i expected his doucheness in the beginning. What a dbag. I really believe Dana isn't mad at all. I bet he's pretending to be mad but deep down, he's loving it. A villain means money in the bank.

I expected GSP to win BUT DAAAAMN. Demolition of Alves. hahaha. Sick wrestler.

    Hendo = awesome

also, Dane, I agree with your post, just like some BJ penn fight where he talks all kinds of cmakc about how I hate so an so my mommy hates so and so bla bla bla, After the fight there all buddies. Whatever, if I hate ya I really hate ya, you kick my ass I still hate you, matter of fact I may just hate you more for kicking my ass!! And I am going to get my mom to hate you to!!

I generally ignore all the trash talking before a fight since thats what it is, so some one shows that he really was pissed and now people want to hate on him. its like hey WTF you can act like you hate him but don't really hate them!! It like WWF hate maybe just entertainment smack talking.

So from now on just pretend you see a small line at the bottom of the screen that says:

**I don't really dislike ______ I just want to sell somemore tickets and PPV**

  107. zack

    July 12, 2009 at 11:31 pm

Nichole, what was Brock saying before the fight that got people to hate on him? I did not recall Lesnar talking any trash really before the fight. Mir talked a bunch of shit before fight, making fun of Brock and his WWE past. When Brock won all he said to Mir was "Talk all the shit you want now". I thought Mir got what he deserved. And when the whole world is hating on you like they were Brock. Brock felt like f*ck the world and flipped off the crowd. I admit he should of just celebrated and not did that and not talk shit but, i can see where he's coming from.

Lesnar's SMOTHERING as everyone is saying, was the most brutal Ground and Pound, I've ever seen. So quit saying that and GSP did the same thing and just layed on Alves. But, GSP didn't even do half as well as Brock and his ground and pound on the ground. Why isn't anyone talking shit about the way that boring, a**hole, GSP fought?

If Dana can get Fedor to come fight in the UFC, Fedor and Lesnar would be huge matchup. I would love to see that fight. I believe Fedor would probably win though by TKO or sub. But i would want Brock to win. I just want to see somebody kick Fedor's ass.

Kash – OMG – I though Lesnar looked familiar! lol Think he went home and laid in the middle of the road?

Tim – If smothering were a "skill", anyone could learn it. Maybe I'm going to the wrong gym, but it's not something you train in. It's just using your size to lay on someone and hold them there. Not gonna see Penn or Sherk or Silva doing that. And to answer your question, I don't care what people say about me. And I wouldn't go around giving people the finger or bashing my boss's sponsor either.

donio – Yes, I think Dana was pissed at Brock. Bud is the UFC's biggest sponsor – you don't want to piss them off. Bud pays UFC, UFC pays Brock. Wrong people to bad mouth.

zack – After the last fight, Lesnar called Mir's win lucky, among other things. And if you watched the countdown videos, it's not like he was praising Mir.

And you're right, GSP didn't do HALF as well, he did better. GSP actually WRESTLED.

  113. zack

    July 13, 2009 at 5:44 am

Nichole, I dont know what fights you were watching but, Lesnars ground n pound was a hell of a lot better than GSP's. GSP just layed on Alves and did pretty much nothing the entire fight. He just held Alves down to prevent him from standing back up to avoid the stand up and won a boring decision. Brock on the other hand, finished Mir with absolute brutal ground n pound. Did you see Mir's face after the first round and after the fight. Mir didn't even looked like the same guy that entered the cage, his face was a complete swollen mess.

    July 13, 2009 at 5:01 pm

So let me get this straight – you give Lesnar credit for breaking down Mir's game and exploiting his weakness, but you don't give GSP credit for doing the same?

All Lesnar did was throw all his weight on Mir and punch him. At least GSP attempted submissions…oh, Lesnar doesn't know what those are!

donio – Losing sponsors upsets Dana. Especially since so many sponsors are already pissed at Dana. No sponsors, no money. It's a business.

  117. zack

    July 13, 2009 at 6:45 pm

Nichole, Pierre DIDNT DO ANYTHING ON THE GROUND but lay on Thiago for 5 boring rounds and GSP was hardly attempting any submissions and the ones he did Alves was never in real serious danger. GSP was really never trying to finish Alves. He got what he wanted and that was to win a decision. Lesnar on the other hand, went in there and wanted to pound Mir and finish him off brutally and that he did. I hate and do not respect fighters that just stall fights to make them go to a decision, like GSP.

What the fuck do you want Brock to do?

At least he can finish a fucking fight, yeah GSP actually wrestles, Brock beats the shit out of his opponents on the ground, he doesn't just grind out a decision. So biased, my god.

Oh yeah, so he should allow Mir enough space while in half-guard so he can use his black belt in BJJ, or he could keep close, tuck Mir's head and punch him into a coma. GET OFF MIR'S NUTS.

The after fight behavior was bad, I'll agree with that, but maybe Mir should shut his fucking mouth and train more.

As for GSP, even though I don't like the fact that he always grinds a decision these days, I am a big fan of his and he amazes me, he did completely break Thiago's offense, i don't know if anybody can beat him right now. His striking is so varied and fast, takes down opponents at will, truly awesome.

One more thing, Nichole, no offense, but have you watched all the old UFC's? If you think Brock smothers people, you should watch a bunch of the old shows when the ground game would usually break down into running each other out of breath from guard for a half hour. Brock doesn't smother, he neutralizes.

  126. zack

    July 13, 2009 at 7:50 pm

I agree, Bob. Nichole should watch the Gracie/Shamrock fight at UFC 5, if she thinks Brock smothers. Shamrock SMOTHERED Royce for 36 minutes. It was the worst and most boring fight, I've probably ever seen.

Brock doesn't smother people, he pounds them out brutally and violently.

  127. Bob

    July 13, 2009 at 8:00 pm

EXACTLY, Thank you. Thats the one, also the Shamrock/Severn that went the distance, my god! I enjoy a good technical ground fight, Matt Hughes is one of my favorites after all, but WOW 36 minutes of laying in guard unable to do ANYTHING.

  128. hosan

    July 13, 2009 at 10:30 pm

I said it before and I still wish Mir won. I just like his fighting style better. That said, I think Lesnar has shown leaps and bounds in his self control (during the fight, not after obviously). He didn't rush in, and when he was on the ground he made sure not to posture up to far for respect of mir's jiu jitsu.

I don't think mir vs lesnar 1 was a fluke. I think it was an experienced fighter vs an inexperienced one. It was a learning experience for Brock and I actually don't think mir learned anything from that fight. Hopefully he did from this fight and will work on his takedown D.

For all of you fools hatin on GSP, did you see Alves' face after the fight. It was swollen and bruised almost to the point that he was unrecognizable. That means he was obviously doing something on the ground. Mostly elbows, but he opened Alves' nose up w/2 straight shots to the face.

Agree w/everyone about hendo vs bisping. Sick ko.

Why is Gsp an asshole? Because he wins? Because he is the best wrestler who never wrestled? Because he beat thiago alves, who is way stronger than him, by keeping him on the ground? Because stylistically speaking he can beat anderson silva? I think the reason everyone's callin gsp an asshole is because he is one of the current best, and whoever their lame-ass favorite is can't beat him.

You can't hate him for being canadian. When was the last time anything good came out of canada?

well i want to see GSP finish fights. GSP is an awesome stand up guy and i know he has knock out power as well and awesome submissions. this what i figured out. Anderson and him have been strange lately. I guess when you are a champion you try not to lose and be very cautious. Anderson and GSP are being very cautiois and are not letting everything hang out

what is Wrong with Mir? he sucks. always did, he fought a sick Nog who is OK stand up at best (i mean throw him in with a decent striker 95% of the time he loses striking)

Why hate GSP? i guess its his Accent or his "greasing".. oh and Jim Carrey came out of Canada.

if GSP hadn't taken Alves down and GnP'd him for most of the fight, i think that he'd have been beaten, but GSP is well rounded (Wrestling being his strong point).

GSP's style matches Anderson's and i think he'd beat him, but i doubt he'd beat Fedor (P4P wise).

I like that Dana White is confident that Fedor will be in the UFC. I think he really wants to set up Fedor vs Brock. I think if that match got set up that Fedor would be in trouble. I know he's good at submissions and all that but Brock is so damn strong. I also know that Fedor has fought strong people before but not like Brock. Not as strong and fast.

GSP is an asshole because he trys not to lose, instead of fighting to win. He would have probably been KO'd if he had kept the fight standing against Thiago. Everyone says GSP is one the best stand up fighters. Well, why does he continue to hold people down on the mat like his last opponents Serra, Fitch, BJ and Alves and not stand up with them? He's scared of getting KO'd again, that why.

I agree with Nichole, but I'm not even gonna try to fight it. I could really give a shit less if Mir lived for 1000 years or died tomorrow, so I'm not on his nuts. I don't like GSP either. SMOTHERING SUCKS. I don't like to see anyone do it. It makes for a boring fight. If Brock would improve his game I would respect him more, but honestly, I think he looks the same as when he speared Herring in round one. So he can punch hard. Kimbo can punch hard too. Doesn't mean I'm gonna want to start watching him fight. He is still 4-1, which is pretty good, but it's an immature record. There are other hard hitters that could knock Brock out too, in fact, I don't even think he is the hardest hitter. He has rocked some guys, but has he actually knocked anyone out with one punch?

Anthony rumble johnson is a beast Dana need 2 give him tough fights like jon fitch so he can earn a title shot hes the best striker in the welterweight division and he has a damn good ground game. Other than a p4p fight with silva hes the only fighter that could test GSP.
