UFC 112: Anderson Silva vs Vitor Belfort In Abu Dhabi

According to UFC President Dana White, Anderson “The Spider” Silva is expected to take on Vitor Belfort at UFC 112 on April 10, in Abu Dhabi.

The first ever event in Abu Dhabi is stacking up to be a ringer. It has light heavyweight champion BJ Penn defending his title against talented Frankie Edgar, Silva vs Belfort for the middleweight title and MMA veterans Matt Hughes and Renzo Gracie are expected to go at it in the welterweight division.

While White stated that a new indoor venue would be built for the UFC, Abu Dhabi Combat Club BJJ instructor Carlos Santos has heard that this event will be held outdoors.

“I told them both they should come early because it will be an outdoor event, not indoors like they are used to, and that many factors and conditions will be different for them,” [MMAJunkie]

Regardless of location this is stacking up as a great UFC event. Hope it doesn't get hit by the current injury bug.
