Leben's heart can never be questioned.

Like joe rogan said, the guy is a zombie and just keeps moving forward. Feel bad for Akiyama though. Put on a hell of a fight but was still subbed by a guy who just fought 2 weeks ago and was considered a lesser fighter

No, they're not…some athletes take steroids if they believe the added strength and speed will help, but most MMA fighters rely on skill, martial arts develop principles that disgrace the very ideal of cheating.

sorry to break it to you Ural. But steroids are much more common then you think. in ALL sports and very much so in MMA.

Tim Sylvia, Sean Sherk, Stephan Bonner, Phil Baroni, Hermes Franca, Chris Leben, Josh Barnett, Royce Gracie —- All Busted for roids.

Kevin Randleman – submitted some kind of animal piss if I remember correctly.

These are just a few of the ones that have been caught.

Ural Subby: They aren't using them for performance enhancement. They're using them to heal themselves faster after fights so they can get back to training quicker in a healthier state. The sooner they can train the sooner they can pay more bills

Wow i cant believe some of the poor unintelligent comments here. This used be a great place to debate and accept the truth.

Not one person in this world is unbeatable, Lesnar just fucking skyrocketed himself into MMA history for that performance. Look at it this way the man was 6 months removed from being on a hospital bed with a very serious illness. In his first fight back he fights Carwin a devastating KO artist with power to give him problems. Lesnar got tested and CAN take a punch came back from adversity stood up through a HARD knee that hurt Carwin and almost had a take down at the end of the round 1, We can all argue wether or not it should of been stopped but this is MMA and as long as the fighter is intelligently defending himself wether it be by curling up and blocking shots that is still a method of defense and It was awesome officiating to not end the fight when it was clear as day Lesnar was defending himself hell he even through a kick from the bottom. Then round two Lesnar just dominated and slapped on a very nice Arm Triangle Choke that suffocated Carwin and forced him to tap so much that Carwins Wind pipe was bruised and he had problems getting oxygen and he was hyperventilating he went to the hospital immediatly after the fight to get check on which thank god he is okay.

Now for you that say Lesnar got beat on well yes he did and so do ALL MMA fighters especially those who truly love to fight as they have heart. Look at Leben the man looks 20 times worse than Lesnar and he wont via Submission.

    Lesnar is fucking scary…

Has only 3yrs of MMA training underneath him

Has only 6 fights and is UFC champ

Has made 2 Title Defenses and won each won convincingly.

Has shown Now that he can take a punch has Heart of a champion and no quit in him.

AND the biggest one to date He has Submission skils and he knows how to utilize them effectively.

Now obviously he has holes in his game but remember 3yrs of training that is it and look what he has accomplished. Just imagine in another 2 years of training what kind of Brock Lesnar we could be watching…think about it..lets say he gets his Stiking up to par and becomes confident in it. Lets say he devolps further Submission skills, Lets say he overall becomes much more stronger and faster and more dominant. This is what we will be witnessing when he has the time under neatch him for proper training. This is one Scarry Fighter…believe it or not…he took Carwins best shot that has previously KO others and got up and made him say i quit.

Brock Lesnar wether you like him or not is a legitimate MMA artist and is the REAL DEAL. Now that he has proved himself and has answered all the questions that needed to be answered I am intriqued to see How Far Lesnar can go in this sport meaning how much better can he get. He will lose its just inevitable but will it be like the last time he ever lost at something.. in HS he lost some wrestling matches his first year came back and went undefeated hte follwing 3 years, goes to college and goes 33-0 transfer to Minnesota and in 1999 he was the runner up to the National Champion then he went on a 34-0 streak to end his college wrestling career and become the 2000 National Champion. The man doesnt like to lose and he has a habit of going on win streaks in bunches after he loses.

I think Carwin had his best shot cause the next time he faces brock if he does and which wont be for at least another 3 fights which is aobut 1-2 years away he will be facing a much overall better Lesnar and that is scarry.

Lesnar deserves Respect after what he has gone through and how he has carried himself. He is one Tough SOB.

Tim — i miss you posting on here. And i agree with your views on Lesnar.

If the fight would have been stopped in the 1st then all we would have today is a new champ with no gas. And that would have gotten exposed sooner or later.

Lesnar took some big shots from a big puncher and didn't quit. Hats off to him

How does it show Brock can take a punch? He got dropped and was dominated the whole first round. Sure he didn't get put to sleep, but he completely lost his composure for that whole round. I'm not doubting that he did a good job weathering the storm and pulling out the submission, but come on, A LOT of people thought Brock couldn't be knocked out, but just like everyone else, he can be. I'll tell you what though, if he is learning submissions, yikes.

he looked like Tito all curled up and Carwin didnt fight it off at all i think he was spent he looked like the old Frank Mir one round and done

Let's not go as far as to say that Lesnar has submission skills yet. I will give him a lot of credit for the sub on Staurday but to say he has sub skills after only one sub is stretching it. I highly doubt that we will see triangles, straight armbars, or leg locks. His bread and butter will continue to be ground and pound.

carwin is a beast. he did a lot better than i thought he would. it was very clear that brock had some cage rust and carwin definately took advantage of it. he has great coaching and comes in to every fight with the perfect game plan. attack fast and keep the pace high. if he had a chance it would be in the first round. and if the fight was stopped i don't think it would've been unjustified. on the other hand if it had been the other way around and the fight did get stopped all the brock haters would have given themselves brain hemorrhages. hats off to brock for stayin in there. just when it looked like the fridge door was closed he kicked carwin off so it was a great job by the ref to see that he still had fight in him. funny thing about that submission tho is if that were any other fight or fighter he probably wouldn't have gone for that. he would've just taken the position and beat him up. but since he was in deep trouble early and considered carwin to be his first and only legitimate threat….he decided he can't be messin around with him.

as far as brock's submission skills go, i think we are all a lil skeptical. but i would not be suprised if his bjj skills are definately beyond a legitimate level. after he lost to mir in his first fight i'm sure he went back to camp and told himself that that is never goin to happen again. so i would expect his submission deffense to rival even the best p4p in the ufc. and that arm triangle couldn't have been executed better than a black black belt. so….it's there and it's real. i think it's just a matter of if he wants to use it or not. i've said this before, brock's style is bullying. and he's goin to treat you like you're his little brother and hold you down in what ever position he wants you in, not let you escape, pound you and make you wish you never talked shit to him and never got in the cage.

Love all these posts because it's not about Fedor being the MMA God! The day Lesnar came into the UFC and said, I only want to fight the best, I don't wanna waste my time with scrubs, was the day I was a Lesnar fan. I would still love to see Lesnar vs Fedor though. Fight will never happen though.

You see regardless of what brock fans may say about he can take punch, he's got heart, he's this and that. The man did not win this fight because he's a good fighter nor did he win this fight or did shane lost. The latter is obvious, shane lost him the fight. No fighter in MMA history will be allowed to take more than 8 clean shots to the head without the fight being stopped. brock took 10 shots to the head and not only he was not defending but he was clearly outclast and out matched that anyone with an oz of brain would have stopped that fight. Having said that I can't give brock credit for winning a fight when your opponent was clearly not competing in the second round did not even try to prevent a take down, and when he hit the mat he just lie there to be choked out. So anyone out there that think brock is a great fighter or whatever must not know anything. If thses two guys fight 9 more times lesnar would be knocked out in the first round that I still believe. On the other hand I am glad that shane lost because he's gonna know that cardio is very, very important in any sport and should go back on the drawing board. Because u may get a ref like he got in that fight that will give the oponent every chance in the book regardless of how hurt they are. If he has even 25% of his cardio left there was no way brock was going to survive another onslaught from him. He had zero cardiovascular left and it showed when the firts round ended that he was done. Cain may not be able to beat brock because of size differencial but I can't wait for a rematch between brock and Shane. Which I still stand by my prediction that if they meet again which is inevitable, Brock will be knocked out at the 2:58 mark in the first round. Brock to me just don't have the skill as a fighter and if he does not learn how to fight he's gonna be really hurt in the ring
