i think this is a great fight. a true test for shields to see if he can handle the big leagues.

rhetro – I agree that this is a good test but your mention (dig at Strikeforce) of "big leagues" is pretty dumb since he has already been tested and beaten a few former UFC fighters in Hendo, Daley, Lawlor, and Miller. If he had never fought any "major league" guys before, then your point is well taken…but let's stop hugging the UFC's nuts and appreciate all of MMA.

rhetro i agree 100 percent. so what if he beat hendo, lawlor, miller and daley. theres a reason none of them are in the ufc. why is it when someone takes a shot at the crappy organizations there automatically hugging ufcs nuts. that shit is getting old

He only beat down Hendo for 4 1/2 rounds…. But to be fair the only reason Hendo isn't with the UFC is that the UFC wouldn't give him another title shot and Strikeforce offered more money… He had lost to Silva, then won three fights in a row before leaving the UFC for Strikeforce…

Dude – I am not sure why Miller or Lawlor left but I Daley would still be with the UFC if he had not thrown a sucker punch after the fight against Koz and Hendo would still be with the UFC if they had given him a title shot and more money. You make it seem like they are not there due to their performance. Do you watch Strikeforce? If you do, then you are full of shit for watching a "crappy" product and if you don't then you should be posting on UFC.com not here. I agree that the whole UFC / Strikeforce debate is old but stupid comments always seem to resurface the debate.

lol how am i full of shit for watching the crappy product. its still mma. ill watch any mma on tv. its not even about the ufc/strikeforce debate cuz if you really think strikeforce compares your an idiot. and hendo didnt leave cuz of a title shot he left cuz of money plain and simple. he had a title shot coming but he thought he was worth more than he really was and obviously he wasnt. he looked like a tired old man agianst shields.

but before that he beat the next best thing at middleweight with one of the best knockouts ever, he probably took shields lightly, his cardio looked like shit, I absolutely dont think shields is that much better than hendo, hendo had an off night

Dude- You are full of shit because why would you watch something that you consider crappy? I would agree 1000% with you that the UFC has a superior product but if Strikeforce is so crappy, don't watch it…anyone that calls it crap and still watches is a retard. Would you eat crappy food, date crappy girls, or keep crappy friends?…so why would you watch this crappy show? If you want to be a UFC nut hugger, that is fine, but don't claim to be an MMA fan when all you like is the UFC.
