Wow what a buch of crap from GSP this guy is now looking for more time to prepare, sounds like this excuse is really scripted.MMA fighters always fight with a little pain somewhere but this guy is a total joke. Now he is ducking carlos what a paper tiger GSP is. Then this guy picks BJ to beat Diaz because he does not want to fight Carlos or Diaz,,,,,what a joke champion

I don't know. I see what you're saying, because Condit was a last minute switch, so the thinking is maybe GSP wants more time to break down the fight, prepare for Condit properly, and not underestimate his opponent.
However, have you ever tweaked a knee before in any way? Your knees are definitely something you don't want to mess around with. I tweaked my knee, and had to chill out because if you strain it, the next step is an MCL or ACL tear or (worse case) pop and you'll crumple to the ground, lose the fight, and not be able to come back for at least 8-10 months.
It's definitely smart to chill on it.

That's a good point the knee is a really complicated part of the body. If you pup out an elbow then you put it back in an heal. But if you pop out a knee its a situation where you will never walk the same again.
A few years back I got caught in a heel hook (which I think they should make illegal, it's way too easy to damage someones knee). The guy cranked it hard and I heard a pop. I got up and I couldn't notice any damage. But when I went to the gym and did leg presses I could feel where the damage was. GSP is taking the safe route but it's probably a good thing.

This was a pretty bad year for the UFC for this reason. There have been a ton of main event fights cancelled due to injury, severe dumbness (Nick Diaz), or ducking (Rashad and Jon Jones). This was a pretty big loss because they were really pressing with the ads and commercials. I was really looking forward to this fight so hopefully they can make it happen soon.
