Jon ‘Bones’ Jones is set to defend his light heavyweight title against former champion Lyoto Machida in the main event at UFC 140 on Dec. 10th in Toronto.

UFC President Dana White made the announcement on twitter:

Alright Toronto!!! Dec 10th UFC 140 tix go on sale next weekend and ur main event is Bones Jones vs Machida!!!

This ends Dana’s dilemma of finding a health opponent for Lyoto Machida, its Bones Jones. Rashad Evans will have to wait for that title shot, he just had surgery to remove pins from his hand and its seems like Bones is now preoccupied with a Dragon.

If Machida wins (unlikely I know, but still possible) does Rashad go for Machida rematch or settle his beef with bones?

i'm thinking he has to settle his beef with bones one way or the other. we've been waiting for this grudge match for over a year now. this sucks but on the other hand bones would have fought machida at some point in time.

Nice plug but Anderson said he would never fight Jones.
